Thanks for this video Gaurav. We have been viewing houses (new build) since few months. Here are few learnings might help others:- 1. Decide your house type you want to buy new or old. Both has pros and cons 2. If new build, check the builder, get their snagger ratings. Snagger review new builds and tell you the quality issues you are delivered. Search in YT 3. The listed price on builder website is not the final price, try to negotiate ask your sales person to speak to their bosses, get more incentives as possible. I had an offer where they could reduce price 3% & 5% deposit contributions.. need to bargain a bit! Crying baby gets more milk logic 😅 4. Get your own mortgage broker and solicitor don’t accept builder suggestions. And try to connect with multiple mortgage brokers they work for free with you, solicitor is charged so use them when you’re 200% sure to go ahead. 5. Reservation: Always check for cancellation options whilst reserving your house, mostly they take £1000 for reservations with a deadline of 6 weeks to you get ready with all legal, financial and making other arrangements. sabse badi baat .. Ghar se chori bahut hota hai... agar senior citizens rehte hai toh darr sa laga rehta hai... upar se closed parking nahi hai toh, Car bhi chori ho jata hai... sad.. but this is reality in London. Flat me life safe hai .. :) flats are not cheaper as you think !! At least not in London !! haan,. gaon side me cheap ho sakta hai.. par gaon side me apartments banta bhi kam hai..
I agree with you Gaurav, buy a house until you really want to avoid travelling to office and stay close to city. House is always best if you can afford. if you feel can't buy house go on rent, buy 2 bedroom and later go for 3 or 4 bed and use 2 bed for investment. Such a nice & informative Vlog like always yours... one question. A typical scenario for 1st time buyer. If I am buying a house on my name without any co-owner and after sometime my wife will buy a property with her name only, can she still avail that no stamp duty benefit.

Current rates are around 5.25% depending on the deposit and amount of loan

If you are new, you should not buy a house right away. You need to analyze locations before buying.

What happens when lease expires? Can the property be taken back by the owner of the space?
Technically, when a lease expires on a flat, all legal rights in the property revert to the freeholder. Probably the owner of that building!
It's not like owning its more like paying rent in advance 😂😂
