The adaptation could have been better. But it could have been worse as well. So let's just be happy that we didn't receive a worse outcome like SDS fandom did with that one season.
@@JustsomeSpaceG1 all i ask is the return to finale season artstyle/character design so Shinji Takeuchi and Akihiko Sano . "Background in 100 years quest tho are better ". Animation is great but needs some upgrade between now and what standard is for 2024 "pretty similaire to what they do latetly in one piece. Not effect only the movement. For effect should go back to previous season" and by effect i mean water . Fire etc
Really hope when the labyrinth arc is paced better with better animation. Hope they do not wait for the whole manga to release before they countinue and just adapt slower the already finished arcs.
@@MartinvNestorov agree. Labyrinth arc and Gold Dragon God arc are enough for a full season. Trying to cramp anything more into a season would be foolish
I did check out this arc and found, from a visual point it was pretty disappointing. But, that may have just been Bleach TYBW completely spoiling me. I do wonder if it's less the animation though and more the direction for fights and scenes, it all seems rather, flat? Very standard hollywood with a lot of cuts to try and sell impact.
@@MegaInsaneMC The pacing is the main issue. They cut a lot of fights shorter, or faster than they supposed to be, damaging how impactful scenes, and fights are actually supposed to be. Giving this flat, and rushed feeling.
Personally, I think it's good. While it does tend to censor itself unnecessarily with some inconsistencies for where it draws the line, the animation for the fight choreography is the best it's looked for Fairy Tail in a long time. The animation for the magic special effects looks better than I was expecting, too, and I'd argue it's second only to the original 175 episode run of the anime. It's really tough to put anything ahead of or on par with the runes and magic circles Satelight did for A1 then, let's be real. The pacing struck me as a bit off. I didn't mind it at first, and for the most part I still don't, but having read the manga and then watching it unfold is kind of like whiplash. Touka's true form even debuted an entire episode earlier than I initially predicted. I guess I really can't complain since they're mostly sticking to all the major story beats as they were in the manga. I think some of the unnecessary cuts and censoring did wind up playing into the pacing. Part of me is just overjoyed to see this story in motion again, and it really captured the feelings of what pulled me in at the beginning. The team and guild's love for one another and trying to do right by each other when everything seems to be stacked against them. I'm so excited to watch their adventure continue to unfold with everyone, both on the screen and the page.
They honestly set themselves up for a lot of criticism. Eden zero had a very similar situation, where the first few fights were amazing but than the animation got average at best. They did the exact same with fairy tail and It had bigger consequences. The first few fights made me so happy, because I haven't seen fairy tail animation so fluid in a minute. That rose expectations a lot, and fairy tail fans were desperate for a well animated season. So yeah it would've been better if they poured more time into it.
Yeah, I am not sure who expected it to be on par with DS levels of quality; they were really setting themselves up to be disappointed lol. As for me, I was expecting EZ lvls atleast.
I also thought in the beginning that both cours will cover the first 2 arcs..but never thought it will cover the Elentir arc...they should have gave us at least 30 episodes...15 for each cour
They should hire back Shinji Takeuchi and Akihiko Sano "the two previous character design from gmg to final season" Before some one says the current one stays true to the mangaka design "Atsue ueda still do a similaire style to final season and that what we need in cour 3 and future season. Yes some scene shown in video were close to 100 years quest but that rare occasion " Final season character design was peak and alot People want it back
What the final season lacked was good animation, which we didn't need. In the Hundred Year Quest, we had good animation, but we lacked character designers.
FT final season was much better than whatever we getting in 100 years quest. the current animation looks like a filter light, natsu's flames color also look horrible, there is no rawness to it.
Agreed, 100 years quest is pure tr ash in terms of animation. No fluid movements, just allways move a bit, stop then show the picture of finnishing act. You can't even see full characters on screen lately just some close ups (the animators made themselves there an easy job and a hard job for us to watch).
I think its an okay adaption too. I expected a little better animation though, not the level of JJK or Frieren, but at least One Punch Man Season 2 level since its the same studio. I don't hate the cutesy artstyle but the tone and shading is a little bit on the bland side for my taste. Censorship is still shitty, I don't mind the censorship on the fanservice but not showing blood is a big gripe of mine. Pacing is alright, I little bit fast but nothing to be worried about. Music is still god tier, so no complaints there. Overall 6/10 for me, but might jump to 6.5 or 7 depending on how the Aldoron vs Natsu/Gajeel is handle.
I think it lighting problem to light for character and not too much shading 😂but other than that it pretty good. Marketing could be little better more advertise though besides just manga and fan base. Love fairytail suicidal fun series’s I still having fun with it ❤😊

LOL no the animation for 100 sucks and the reason why I'm saying this because the characters look different the animation will look even better if A1 studio was the one animating it instead of a different studio even berserk 2016 looks better then this garbage
I think A-1 didn't invest in Fairy Tail and didn't care about Fairy Tail at all. I think a sateLight studio should have done it because they made Fairy Tail the most perfect. A-1 did a great design but the animation is so stiff, still and not smooth.
@ToMmY-wl6qq I only watch one episode of 100 and I stopped reason why you may ask because it wasn't entertaining like it once was back in 2014 the fight scenes for the animation was top tier the show was heading into a dark story we never seen before the spite of everything what happened 2014 will always be a place in my heart.
