    You never cease to amaze with the obvious amount of time spent calculating ingredients needed and organizing it all. It is good to see your kiddos pitching in at a young age.

      Oh thank you! Yes they enjoy helping. Sometimes it would be easier to do alone but I have to remember I training my children to become adults. So I remember how important it is for them to learn.

    Hello my mom use to go walking and look for fruit trees and if it looked like there was fruit laying on the ground she would go to the door and ask if they were going to pick their trees and telk them if you are not going to pick them and she would clean up the fruit on the ground in return she would get fruit to can once she canned up the fruit she would take a couple of jars back to the person that let her pick she had one lady with an apple tree and one with pears now she is 75 years old and doesn't go picking anymore but we have trees that should be fruiting this next year. Great job getting all of those freezer meals done.

      Yes we have done that too! We have alot of public lands as well as company type land that have beautiful fruit. I have had people ask me because its a small town do you want my apples? I usually bring some homemade soap and jams over. It works out great! What a blessing!

      LOL maybe it is a blessing from having so many children always multitasking to the max. Im thankful the Lord allows me to have this skill. I always joke my house is organized, as I have a lot of systems, but usually messy.

    These are so impressive!!! I have a very stupid question because I'm kind of new to cooking meat, how would you prepare those ziploc marinated pork things? In the slow cooker? Instant pot? Oven? How long for, if you don't mind? Assuming they are cooked basically the same regardless how they're seasoned?

      I always tell my kids the only question that is a stupid question is the one not asked :) We all start somewhere. When hubby and I got married I didn't know much. Ok so the meals in bags are raw meat then seasoned. To cook you can do it many ways. Defrost the night before then put in the slow cooker for 6-8 hours. Our you could put in an oven for 30-40 mins. My favorite way is to put in the instant pot. if defrosted pressure cook 20 mins. I have though been known to run under hot water fold in half, put 1 cup of water in the bottom of instant pot. Then put in pressure for 25 mins. Feel free to ask any questions any time.

    If I was doing the potato chip chicken I think after par baking I'd flash freeze it on trays and then put the frozen pieces in bags. Then you could cook them on trays like chicken nuggets.

      Yes sounds like a good plan. My freezers were so full this day I chose to do this way. Thank you for suggesting here in the comments so others can see as well!

    How much meat did you put into the bags ? It is just my husband and myself and I would like to try some of the recipes. If I knew the meat amounts I could split the recipes down. Thanks.

      About 4 lbs or so. Great plan! Over the winter I'll be working on blogging up recipes and stuff to make things easier.

    How many bags of the freezer meals does it take to feed your large family?

    • @mommabear2many
      @mommabear2many  ปีที่แล้ว

      question most of these meals are set to be one meal each. So I would put enough in 1 bag for a meal. If we have any company it would be 2 or 3. The only thing that is not like this in the video is the Aloha chicken thighs that I make with my son. I did it to do 2 bags each to make the math easier for him. The other thing is the burrito casseroles we could probable get away with 1 at lunch on days some kids are not home with a salad but overall with hubby home est it would be 2. I also mentioned that the large taco bakes might last 2 meals as I hadn't made it in awhile. That was wrong I served last night thinking I would make a plate for hubby. I went back and it was all gone. This was also served with about 3 lbs of green beans.
