In watching this and other routines from the semi-finals, it seems most of the athletes had their best routines during this round and used it up before finals.
I wonder, if she was a good singer too.... but then again - Whitney Houston was such an outstanding singer. I think, there can never be another one like her. When it comes to this routine, Betty did an excellent job. Her amplitude, handstands, flight elements.... all perfect and finally a dismount, that looked good also (just the little form break before the landing). I couldn't stand watching her doing this 'fly-away' from the upper bar the years prior.
she also had a double front but always fell at tranings, she had this dismount, which was a d like all other skills , but she was not able do do any other dismounts, even easier
@@Marketoromagnolo She said in an interview that she tended to do any back salto dismounts (which basically everyone else was doing at this time) way too close to the bar and was always at risk of catching her feet on it. Apparently it was scary enough that even the Karolyis wouldn't allow her to do them.

Maybe it was me, but I always thought Betty looked a little like Whitney Houston. I loved Okino on beam and was happy to see an upgraded bar dismount.
