What a shame that the industry has abandoned the cruiser market that dominated for the last 25+ years. I was hoping to see the Formula PC lineup redesigned with outboard power. I know times have changed, but people still want a boat they can cruise in for long periods and still have the luxurious cabin amenities. Standing cabin headroom in the 30-40 foot class seems to be a thing of the past. With production costs up, and new boat prices at mostly unattainable levels for most families, people are truly getting less boat for more money.
Agree completely. We have had a 33ss, 37pc and (2) 34pc boats. Overall very well designed and built models. The current offerings are extremely overpriced especially when you look at the cabinets. Atrocious quality for the price point. I'm grateful someone is buying new ones so we can find them used at relatively affordable prices 5-7 year's later.
My beautiful wife Susan and I Love our Formula 37 PC. Let me say again We Absolutely Love Our Formula Boat. It's the finest built, most sturdy, comfortable boat of It's size we've ever been on and it sets the standard. Two years ago we discussed purchasing a walk through design and our only choice was which Formula do we get and Inboard or Outboard.
Ronald, I also owned a Formula and loved it except for it's reliability. I had the I/O and would strongly recommend against buying the Mercury I/O. The manifolds needed replaced after four years. The engine was always throwing engine errors (beginning at about 50 hours) and I kept the boat miticulously maintained. I just couldn't keep it running - zero confidence. I ended up selling it after 225 hours and 5 years of misery.
