    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:00 🎯 *When creating an online course, start by having a clear idea of what your course will be about and consider the problems and challenges your existing audience faces.*
    03:15 📊 *Validate your course idea by checking if people are searching for it, and gather feedback from your existing audience.*
    05:35 📚 *Decide on the format of your online course, whether it will be in PDF, ebook, or video format, and choose the appropriate tools.*
    08:22 📝 *Take your time to come up with a catchy and descriptive course name that reflects your content.*
    11:19 🛠️ *Consider using online course platforms like Thinkific or Payhip to host and sell your courses.*
    15:05 🎥 *When creating your course, follow a structured curriculum and upload it to your chosen platform for distribution.*

    I just found you after drinking these types of videos for the past 6 months. Im focused on everything at once and sometimes that makes it difficult. I want to thank you though, because while listening to this video, i was able to clearly put on paper FINALLY, the necessary modules to bring clients success. Now i need to find people to work with me. It is slowly coming together. Thank you,because this really helped a lot!

    So glad to see Payhip as an option. My biggest obstacle is the upfront cost for course creation. This makes it so much easier and a lot less overwhelming/scary. Thank you!

    • @realwesatkinson
      @realwesatkinson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Course creation can be overwhelming to get going. There are ways to get your course created at a low-price point. Many website builders are beginning to incorporate online course (or Learning Management System) features into their web design builders. Finding a partner like Thinkific or Payhip is great because they're hyper-focused on one audience. So their features will be better aligned with course creators' needs. Best of luck!

    *”You learn more from failure than from success. Don’t let it stop you. Failure builds character.”*
    This is what we hear everywhere but the truth is, some or even most people are confused of how or when they will encountered failure in life.
    *IT IS WHEN YOU START PURSUING SUCCESS (What You Want To Become )*
    But when you encounter failure, do not give up, continue, because you will achieve it if you continue.

    I have two questions. Actually 3 😂. 1. Can I create an online course even if I don’t have another online presence like socials? 2. How do I know if my idea should be a course or a workshop? 3. The course platforms you suggest, how do they look to the student? Really appreciate your advice. I have long wanted to teach online but feel a bit lost as to how to transfer my idea into actionable saleable content.

    • @TheSecondDesign
      @TheSecondDesign ปีที่แล้ว +28

      You could create a course, but unless you have an existing audience for your course that will immediately pay and sign up, you will spend a ton of time selling your course. So it's actually better in the longer run to create a good online presence first. That way you can also tailor your course to the needs of the audience you are building.
      At least, that's been our experience! :)

      @cryptobird_nik 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      I've made $80K with courses in 1 year in a small creative niche, so I will try to answer your questions as good as I can
      1. You DON'T need a social media presence to create an online course.
      But what you need is to identify and research a very specific problem/challenge that people have, that you can help to solve with your course.
      A social media following or email list or something similar is definitely helpful, because you can just directly ask them
      Otherwise you can just ask people in forums/reddit/any social media account that you have or similar places, what problems they have, what challanges they have with XYZ.
      2. The step I explained above will give you a good understanding of your "idea" is good or not. I wouldn't just create a random course on something YOU think will be a good "idea".
      It's much much better to find common problems/challanges that people face in your industry/niche and then create a course which will sove exactly this problem.
      Then people will buy it.
      3. Most platforms are very similar. You can directly upload your course video files to the platforms dashboard, name them, organize them in order, add ressource links/files and then people can log into their own dashboard and watch your course in order step by step, etc.
      If you want to know anything else, just let me know or check out my channel, where I share everything I've learned in my $80K/year online course business.
      Good luck!

    The six steps to create and launch an online course can be summarized as follows:
    Identify Course Idea: Determine a relevant and in-demand course theme by analyzing challenges and questions faced by your target audience.
    Develop Curriculum: Design a structured curriculum including introduction, modules, and lessons for your course.
    Choose Course Format: Decide the format of your course, whether it will be PDF guides, ebooks, or videos.
    Decide Course Name: Choose a short, memorable, and representative name for your course.
    Choose Platform and Upload Content: Select a platform to host your course, upload your content, and handle payments.
    Launch the Course: Once your course is created and uploaded to the platform, launch it for your audience.

      @@zinzimdedetyana1234 This is a great question! It's always more engaging if you can create a good media mix for your courses. Also, ACTIVITIES! Think about what skills a learner might need to learn in order to be successful. Then, create challenges or activities/workbooks/projects they can use to wrestle with the material and make it more personalized. We created a course where after they completed the course they left with an actual ACTION PLAN for them and their team. Mix it up! Best of luck!
