Dude, thank you SO much for doing this series. Started playing this game in 2nd grade and I could never beat it. Now I’m in my senior year of college, and I just bought a ps2 to finish what I started with this game lol. You’re the master!
Something really fun to try, though inconsistent, is actually having bravo stealth behind that rock. As the 2 mercs walk down the path, you take the one in the back once you’re out of his line of sight, then command bravo to fire at will. When all goes according to plan, you can actually pop your guy, crouch walk/walk to pick up his body, and by the time you reach him bravo should be taking their guy down coming around the big rock. This game was so ahead of its time I love it
Kahunas rage seeing his fellow brothers in arms getting disrespected and beaten by those mercenaries, always makes my blood boil and gives me goosebumps. Def one of the best cutscenes in socom! This play through absolutely love binging it.
After all these years I always wondered if there was a way to beat this and then I found this after thinking about it at 3:30am in the morning when I couldn't sleep. Thanks heaps for this upload!
Stuck on this mission on LT Gen difficulty. Killed all the mercs, had the two pow's from the base waiting by the tents with Bravo and then I grab the one from the cave and when that happened, more mercs spawned in and killed those POW'S!! Eurgh!! I wanted to throw my controller after that lol
I left bravo covering the POW camp area after clearing out the Mercs there and securing the hostages, telling Bravo to hold position at camp covering the entrance in the direction of the caves at the top of the hill where they’re being tortured. If you still have boomer it’s a bit easier to clear the caves solo/just with Able but every time I brought bravo with me to the caves or any other area it was a guarantee the POWs get clapped lol
1:10 POW Camp Intro. Kahuna and his fireteam aka SEAL Team to recon Magnus and his bunch of Preemptive Strike mercenaries tortures United States Marine Corps aka Major Norris’s men. Kahuna’s rage
1:43 Kahuna: We know what to expect. These Preemptive Strike mercs would kill POWs if they know were here. We’ve got to get all the Marines out alive, let’s move.
Awesome! I beat this level by leaving the hostages where they were and going around and taking out the mercs. I used silenced weapons. Every time I took the hostages they would get killed.
Yes it was, but I didn't sit there and go through the trouble of playing through every difficulty. I found a game save on the internet that already had every difficulty unlocked.
@jacobosborn8584 oh I bet. It's was already pretty miserable finishing some missions on ensign! Socom and SW Bounty Hunter are the hardest games I've played I'd say.
In the first ingress zone I'd setup a kill zone and use position bravo behind a rock and hide boomer. Take out each enemy as they'd come strolling down the path, remove body rinse and repeat.
I start off with ak-74 on full auto for more ammo since enemies carry it, then set Bravo to attack the path while I throw a frag between the trees at the second duo of mercy. Kill the next dude, frag the rock, blast the sentry and 2 dudes, tell bravo to follow, kill guy down path and sniper, then wait for to guys to run at me on the right. I do all that until the 2nd area before the POW camp in about 3 mins. Still working on how to beat the caves and cabins on LTJG. I stopped taking chances on fire fights and full auto and frag it out.
How different is Lieutenant difficulty compared to admiral? It’s crazy to imagine that there’s much more difficulties harder than LT when they already have Laser Beam Aimbot on the last 3 missions
They basically have aimbot from Lieutenant onwards but the higher the difficuly the faster they react when they see you. So on Admiral they're as deadly as your SEAL team if not more lol
Notei que vc tem muita habilidade com estratégia mas sinto que tem dificuldade na hora de mirar e de detectar os inimigos kkk sou o contrário de vc por isso que não cheguei tão longe percebi que estratégia vale mais que habilidade
Because his useless a** always alerts the enemy when I try to sneak up to do a knife attack. So having him distracted with smoke guarantees I don't have to worry about that.
@@matthewpalsky It's so damn annoying when you're trying to sneak up on someone and his stupid ass starts opening fire on a tree or a rock, completely missing his target... I'm starting to think maybe I should just kill him at the start of each mission lol
@@fredherbert7920 What’s kinda crazy is how off the reality of the Socom games were to what SEALs were doing at the time.. lol how many SEALs were rocking web gear and Bonnie hats in the GWOT? The weapons the gear, the look the game presented was almost Vietnam, Cold War eara lol
@@joesgotya9930 Hey, you're right! Even the "M16A2" in the game is actually a Vietnam-era M16A1. Another thing I found weird is that the only machine guns are the M60 (albeit a modernized version) and another Vietnam-era weapon, the Stoner 63. No M249 SAW or anything.
