She noted the number and said that the ring had only brought her and my Dad good fortune, especially having their seven children. I have held onto that sentiment ever since. Years later when I was about to buy a home, sitting in a cafe mulling over my decision, I was handed a number 13 for my coffee. I took that as a good omen rather than a bad one. We can put whatever meaning we want onto things and block any bad meaning others may put on them. So be at peace, beautiful Kirsten, that all will be well. It's fascinating how rustic the cottage is on the outside, then on the inside, it's got beautiful floral fabrics, that cozy bed nook and all of the details within the cottage. The owners didn't leave anything out. Thank you so much for showing it to us!
I love that name "Puddleduck". The hut is so quaint and cozy. I thought the fabrics looked familiar. She has a way of putting different colors and patterns together and makes them look so good together. And the little babies are so cute and they were trying to talk to you. That's a great getaway. This cottage may be tiny, but it makes up for it with its charm. The colors and fabrics are tastefully intertwined, and the bed area is out of this world. Simply stunning. Love the veranda and the picture of you two in rocking chairs enjoying your dinner. You filmed the cottage and the entire estate so beautifully, that you certainly made the owners smile with pride.😊

The German language is logical and beautiful. I lived (I'm English) in the Heidelberg region for almost 11 years. I still miss aspects of my old German life. Of the retreats I've seen so far, the grounds at Shepherds Hut are my favorite so far--the fields of daffodils, the baby sheep getting to its feet and baaing at you as if it knew you, the pheasants in the pasture and the narrow stream of running water. I always wake to look at the Milky Way when at my parents in north Devon 😊..it's dark there to..so wonderful to star gaze and look for shooting stars etc Northumberland is wonderful. I went their a lot when at Uni because my boyfriend was from there. That old Fairytale book in German looked SO beautiful. I have the same problem with "Knickerbrot."..growing up, I knew it as "Ryvita." which is just the brand name everyone buys in the UK.
