Biggest Kayak Bass Fishing Tournament in KAF History! Lake Kissimmee

- The 2022 season of Kayak Anglers of Florida (KAF) is under way! This is the biggest kayak bass tournament in KAF history tottaling 58 anglers. I found an area of the lake in prefishing where I felt like I had bigger bites. Ended up going strait there on tournament day and I'm glad I did. I was the only kayak angler in that area, which I was a bit surprised about that. Overall an awesome day with a lot of good bites and I'm so happy that tournament season is back!

@@ChrisMitchellFishing I started ours out last month with a 2nd place finish, got our 2nd event this Saturday...got the W on this lake last year so hoping for a good finish this weekend as well....gunning for that AOY!!! We got some bad ass anglers in our local trail...several Hobie BOS guys...Jordan Marshall is one who just won AOY in the HOBIE trail... Guess fishing against guys like that make us better 🤷♂️

For the most part yes! We get maybe 2 weeks in the 40s-60s. Summer is the most brutal though lol

Just fished there this weekend, threw the jerk bait,crank bait,culprit worm,punched with ragecraw and senko and I only got two on the senko:/. Not sure if it’s the weather this weekend or if I’m just presenting them wrong 😑

Thank you! I was fishing it with straight 17# fluorocarbon with a 3/16th oz tungsten, 4/0 ewg hook.

Chris great video! What area is allowed to fish the KBF trail January 29th I’m coming from New Orleans and want to start checking out some areas to fish
Not entirely sure but last year was toho, lake Kissimmee, lake Jackson and I believe tiger lake. I’m sure they will have the boundaries up soon! Also thank you!

Congrats. This year I fish one of my biggest kayak tournament with 75 anglers and finish in 2nd place . Lost by 1/4 inch . Hope to one day take home a big win

How is your speed worm set up??
I use a 7’2” medium heavy rod with a 7.4 gear ratio reel. 17# fluorocarbon, 4/0 ewg, 3/16th oz tungsten. I like the magnum speed worm over the regular size in June bug color. Definitely one of my go to/ favorite technique!
