I like how the producers froze the image as that guy on the bicycle rode by oblivious to the fact that he's now immortalized on WBGU's sign off and to this day on TH-cam.
I used to watch this sign off every night. I once went out to the tower in Bellmore which sits out in the middle of nowhere. Ya, I'm a freak like that.
I remember it looking the same as this somewhat (the only difference I recall was the addition of "State University" underneath "Bowling Green" in the logo as they continued to use that logo up into the mid 90's.
All my video library is at my other residence in Ohio. I am hoping to get them on disc someday hopefully soon. When I do I would upload it, I just don't know when I can.
What was the name of the music for this sign off, and the sign on? Also the music they played overnight. I would love to know, I have videotape of it, but I don't know the name of the titles of groups

your not a freak you just have a classy interest in how TV is and all about it. That's a normal interest. Mine is a 400hz Sine wave tone
And I grew up about 8 miles west of that tower, so I could just stare at its lights every night.

Same here , I stayed up late at night to watch the sign off and waited until WBGU came back on the air. This was in 1991 and 1992.
