You wouldn't happen to know the song starting at 14:30? I've searched everywhere and can find it, I'm certain it's definitely one of the library collections
Dormant memory cells were jogged by seeing the WTNH-Channel 8 New Haven sign-off. I graduated high school that year...and stayed up late many nights. It wasn't too soon after this that the FCC opened-up to all night broadcasting. This along with Hartford's Channel 3....WTIC and later WFSB...brings back a lot of memories.
The second Television Code motif had the olive branches from 1965-80, as did the first from 1958-65. The last one from 1980-82, retired the olive branches and the words "Seal of Good Practice" and replaced them with "Broadcasting in the Public Interest."
Len Beardsley had two signoffs for KABC-TV in Los Angeles. In one he told viewers to tune in to "Real Estate For The Consumer" and in the second for "Daybreak L.A.", when Seven signed on the air in the early morning.
WTNH showed the NAB logo instead of the SOGB. The logo was included in the final version of SOGB, which lost the olive branches and replaced "Seal of Good Practice" with "broadcasting in the public interest."
Guess that disclaimer about not rebroadcasting programs and not imposing "mechanical charges" no longer applies as most stations are now being run through streaming video subscription services.
Was lol ... Try doing a google search, you should be able to find which stations were on the old civil defense/Emergency Broadcast System, and now with the Emergency Alert System. If you're referring to CONELRAD, that info is getting had to find.
@@cockula776 I've tried that, and find plenty of information about Civil Defense, CONELRAD and the EBS/EAS, but I haven't speciically found any reference to the "Civil Defense Disaster Network." I'm wondering if WEWS just made it up...
@@_zombiezone I highly doubt that, they wouldn't spend that kind money lol. More than likely its from one of the library music companies (Bruton, De Wolf, KPM, etc). If you dig this sort of music, jump down one of those rabbit holes on youtube and there's so much of it out there!
