@@BladexJunaidI can collaborate OP's statement. I always thought Enis Lobby would always be #1 arc but Egghead has proven me wrong. Oda has been holding out on us the entire Post Timeskip. He's truly saving the best elements of his story for last. This is an author who has held himself on a leash for a quarter century and only now he's cut the leash 2023 in the manga was insane, the hype is no exaggeration from my perspective. The level of emotions, and awe you felt from the best arcs Pre Timeskip are nothing compared to what I'm feeling this arc.
The artstyle is just TOO FCKING GORGEOUS. I've watched the opening alone like 8 times already. I simply cannot wait for the upcoming chapters to be adapted. ♥♥
I don't think Lulusia was destroyed BECAUSE Sabo was there. If you pay attention to how the Gorosei address the news Sabo is there makes it seem like Sabo being there was Coincidence or Fate, meaning They were gonna blow it up with or without Sabo

So imu tried to kill sabo and sabo hiding in lulucia kingdom so imu wiped out the entire Kingdom. Imu erased the entire Kingdom in the world map . We don't know who imu really is but he or her is top of the power scaling.
Opening is directed by Megumi Ishitani who also did opening 25 😂 God bless her soul she is so amazing with it and to get her back to back on the openings is amazing
Nanami Michibata-san (director for 1074) also have hands on this too, I feel like she also deserved respect since 1074 also great episode for sure. Because last OP is Megumi-san, but the ED with Yamato is directed by Nanami-san. But this opening with both of them working together, they go above and beyond. Yeah they are friend, both of them fantastic!

If you look back at what the Gorosei said when his location was revealed, they were surprised. Meaning that what happened in Lulusia was already in motion, and Sabo was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Take it from me, this has the potential to become the best arc in the history of One Piece, it started out so frantic and I'm warning you here that it will remain like this with each episode a new bomb arrives, I personally think this is the best arc from the story of One Piece, Egghead is too PEAK bro!
While I agree presently, I feel like despite the insanity we've seen from Egghead, we have to remember that this is JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE FINAL SAGA Oda has held out on his audience for decades and now that he's finally ready to tell us how this story ends this madness begins. Oda is a man who planned the ending long before he wrote all the added world building and wide range of side characters in the series. Oda has been writing on a leash for 25 years, Egghead is where he's cutting off that leash from himself. The full creative genius of this man is being unleashed here and now, but it's just the beginning
the fact that Imu killed thousands just to get to one person is horrifying itself. and the elders coldly telling the marines they heard nothing makes this moment so much darker.
This episode is just... perfect, the new asrtstyle is great, the ep was pure cinema, if we're starting off like this, I'm really excited for the next BIG episodes!

I remember this chapter in the manga and just being blown back the entire time I was reading it, seeing it animated though with the sound design and music score and this new art style is so perfect for a series like One Piece. The backgrounds are CGI rendered now (very well done) from my understanding and that is allowing them to focus more on the FX animation which is allowing for a lot of the improved fluidity in motion we're seeing in this episode. If this becomes the consistent for the arc and then there are even more hype moments like with Wano where animation would go dummy for specific key scenes also used here then One Piece is going to crush the entire anime field this year. This entire episode felt like a movie. And being current in the manga I know that Wano was Oda with the gloves still on, Egghead he ditched the gloves and picked up brass knuckles. Anime only fans like yourself are in for a REAL TREAT!
For me, this is the 2nd best New World Arc in OP only behind Whole Cake. Also going into this arc, Oda basically described it as a giant battle royale, so be prepared for a bunch of fights par excellence
*Whole Cake Island is better than Wano* . People hate whole cake island because they hate big mom's appearance and that's a really shallow mindset to have.
Man, As a manga reader, this episode was PHENOMENAL !! The new opening is incredible, the visuals are soo beautiful (i'm just a little bit disapointed because of the spoilers inside) And the episode, damn whaou, all the sequence with the gorosei, sabo & imu was speechless and i don't know why but the butterfly visuals remember me aot opening or ending visuals. And the ost used for the destruction of lulusia kingdom is a truly masterpiece And last but not least, the EggHead arc is gonna aired on Netflix every week !!! What a news ! We are eating gooood
Every egghead chapter is PACKED with content so its gonna be easier to not be boring. Also now that they have an ending+the chopper segment, the episodes will be shorter and less padded, its better.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing how seeing Lulusia’s complete destruction gets animated and Toei nailed it. The animation and the soundtrack just captured how terrifying and powerful Imu is to cause an apocalypse just to keep his existence a secret!😱
Spoiler alert, don't read if you are anime only: It's not imu's power, it is a weapon called motherflame that was created by vegapunk. They used it in this episode to test it. They wiped out lulusia because it was close, not because sabo was in it.

Sometimes arcs get overhyped and expectations get set too high. However, this arc is not one of those instances. I truly believe this arc is one of Oda's greatest achievements in the series to date in terms of pacing, consistency, and quality of storytelling. We are in for a phenomenal year of One Piece.
I got so sad and felt so disturbed at what happened to that country..quite like the feeling of the rumbling in Attack on Titan...this is definitely a new One Piece arc right here.
This is the arc that got my respect for Oda to the top the man can write lore. And the Animation on this episode had to close my mouth I was surprised how well they brought the Manga to life

I love the artstyle of egghead island so far, although wanos art was goated this is so mimalistic and simple! Since jjk also did this, making the artstye more simpler they were able to flush out 120% of their fluidity and animation and for that I'm excited that OP will get that treatment in this arc!

Hello, Michael....A lot of context is missing for you regarding Lulusia as you don't see the cover story adapted. I commented in the last episode on the basic stuff related to Lulusia. Btw it's the place where we saw Bello Betty first time. The place where she was creating a revolution. Also, the reason behind the cleansing of Lulusia is the Revolution, not Sabo. If you listen to the Gorosei they said Sabo is unlucky to be there at the wrong time. Also, you know Princess Komane too. She is the one queen who was Kidnapped and was saved by Koby and Helmeppo. We saw that when Koby met Rebecca. Btw you missed my last week's comment so reminder from there...Caribou is with SHs because Luffy promised to take him out of Wano(when Caribou gave Luffy food). Hope this at least helps a little.
As of right now (and granted it’s not done yet), I’m thinking Egghead could go down as the best arc in the series to date. It really is that damn good so far (1103 chapters in right now). We sound like a broken record, but Final Saga Oda is unleashed. It’s like he’s always been cooking but he’s using new seasonings now.
I might be called crazy for this, but imo, this opening is the best opening since We Are. It perfectly encapsulates what Egghead is going to be, and with an insanely catchy song and fantastic visuals. They absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one
This was the new Nothing Happened in the manga. On every video reaction or review of this chapter in the manga, people just commented, "Never Existed" cause that was the translation we got. I still got goosebumps from watching this yesterday
Probably not the first to notice this, but remember Enies Lobby? It was built over the exact same bottomless crater that Lulusia Kingdom now is. Which means this isn't the first time Imu has erased an Island from existence. Concidering what the World Government is like, I feel like that location used to be an island much like Laugh Tale, but got erased, and as a proclemation of victory, was turned into the now Enies Lobby. And it is because that island was erased that Laugh Tale was hidden, since if the World Government ever found its location, it, and whatever secrets it's hiding, would also be erased.
Bonney did quite well for herself after the timeskip as she's now the same amount as Hawkins (and I guess technically is higher than Killer's as we don't know how his bounty changed after Wano besides for his Kid). AND: Oh Chopper, considering what happened to you in this episode, maybe you should just consider becoming the Straw Hats' Pet Mascot after all.

Of course the animation and art style has to be good and clear because we are entering futuristic theme for this arc. I think it had similar art with Sabaody arc. Maybe the same people working on that.

The animations of the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen 😍😍😍😍… That “daddy, I’m scared” gave me a terrible anxiety, for all time of the sequence I trembled with my mouth half open and my eyes wide open… Imu-Sama with those animations in the style of 80s TV when it lost the signal and the stupid wisdom that speaks in the background, make up one of the most beautiful sequences of all One Piece Perfect...

Sometimes arcs get overhyped and expectations get set too high. However, this arc is not one of those instances. I truly believe this arc is one of Oda's greatest achievements in the series to date in terms of pacing, consistency, and quality of storytelling. We are in for a phenomenal year of One Piece.
I got so sad and felt so disturbed at what happened to that country..quite like the feeling of the rumbling in Attack on Titan...this is definitely a new One Piece arc right here.

This is the arc that got my respect for Oda to the top the man can write lore. And the Animation on this episode had to close my mouth I was surprised how well they brought the Manga to life

I love the artstyle of egghead island so far, although wanos art was goated this is so mimalistic and simple!
Since jjk also did this, making the artstye more simpler they were able to flush out 120% of their fluidity and animation and for that I'm excited that OP will get that treatment in this arc!

Egghead Island Arc is packed bruh. TOEI really doesn't miss in spoiling their fans in their openings. I think that's also their strategy in hyping the fans to keep them watching. I also noticed the change in art style and animation and I liked it!

Hello, Michael....A lot of context is missing for you regarding Lulusia as you don't see the cover story adapted. I commented in the last episode on the basic stuff related to Lulusia. Btw it's the place where we saw Bello Betty first time. The place where she was creating a revolution. Also, the reason behind the cleansing of Lulusia is the Revolution, not Sabo. If you listen to the Gorosei they said Sabo is unlucky to be there at the wrong time. Also, you know Princess Komane too. She is the one queen who was Kidnapped and was saved by Koby and Helmeppo. We saw that when Koby met Rebecca.
Btw you missed my last week's comment so reminder from there...Caribou is with SHs because Luffy promised to take him out of Wano(when Caribou gave Luffy food).

I might be called crazy for this, but imo, this opening is the best opening since We Are. It perfectly encapsulates what Egghead is going to be, and with an insanely catchy song and fantastic visuals. They absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one

Probably not the first to notice this, but remember Enies Lobby? It was built over the exact same bottomless crater that Lulusia Kingdom now is. Which means this isn't the first time Imu has erased an Island from existence. Concidering what the World Government is like, I feel like that location used to be an island much like Laugh Tale, but got erased, and as a proclemation of victory, was turned into the now Enies Lobby. And it is because that island was erased that Laugh Tale was hidden, since if the World Government ever found its location, it, and whatever secrets it's hiding, would also be erased.

The animations of the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen 😍😍😍😍… That “daddy, I’m scared” gave me a terrible anxiety, for all time of the sequence I trembled with my mouth half open and my eyes wide open… Imu-Sama with those animations in the style of 80s TV when it lost the signal and the stupid wisdom that speaks in the background, make up one of the most beautiful sequences of all One Piece
