thats the truth... the best.... simple ..makes me happy.... now im 25 years old.... living the life.... very well... im.happy but 17 years ago... never come.back... grettings from.bolivia
I met Dicky Barrett at a warped tour, such a nice dude, it's funny cause his speaking voice is as gravelly as his singing voice, it's kinda startling at first, but what an amazing experience to meet him!
Recovery live on a Saturday morning. The kids and I would watch it every week. Plenty of bands played straight from a gig and then an after party. It was often chaos. I love it. I remember watching this in another century…
Ben Carr is awesome! I'm only 34 years old and i tried doing his dance to this song and became exhausted after less than a minute and coughed for an hour afterwards! 😂
I love the mighty mighty Bosstones they are the best and greatest band ever to play on God Green earth 🌎🌍🌎🌍🌎🌍🌎🌍🌎🌍🌎🌍 the best the mighty mighty Bosstones are the best
When I was a freshman in H.S. during the 98-99 school yr. I LOVED being in band-Our director was AWESOME! He played the trombone like I did so we played some REALLY cool stuff including this song-Which if you've ever played this song you know it's ALOT of fun to play but my sophomore yr in H.S.-New director & he didn't like ska music so their was NO WAY we were ever gonna play it under his directon! We put up a big fight for it. Somebody told him once-Work w/us sometime & we'll work more w/you.
People complaining about the dancing guy pshh, guarantee he is a better dancer than you, when your the bands manager you can dance however the hell you want, he has the best gig ever.
@kardzfn21 have no idea what ska or skapunk is, but this song has to be the ultimate 1. driving fast song. 2. riding motorcycle fast song, 3. air guitar/air drum song. the perfect one. if i could wear out a computer hdd replaying this, id be doin it right now lol
@kardzfn21 ive never really paid much attention to the labels. aka SKA. BUT have listened to many many of their bands. including the supertones. anyhoo. its all good. if it sounds good to me, i keep listening to it :)
@yamahonkawazuki -This song is the ULTIMATE ska song! You don't know what ska music? WOW, that's sad-I say that b/c Your missing out on some GREAT music! Don't know how much Christian music you listen to but a Christian band who is considered ska are The Supertones. Ska is a mix of Jamican rhythm w/Jazz & rock n roll, & some people say a lil' bit of hip hop? Reason I like ska so much is I come from a VERY musical family & it has so many types of music wrapped into 1 to create an AWESOME SOUND!!
Tempo is toooooo slow. Notice the singer looking back at 0:17 pulsing the right tempo with his mic and hand. Just a performing musician that likes to notice things like that, in case someone who doesn't perform would like to know.
@@petarticinovic2710 probably...or the end of a long tour and they are all beat up from it. There were many tempo issues throughout this performance ive noticed. Picked up the pace, slowed down, tried to pick it up but one of the baritone saxophones was consistently dragging just a bit...regardless, still a great group and great song just not their cleanest performance IMO. Nobody is perfect. :-)
I'm not going to be one of those people who comments back telling you to listen to "good" ska and then provide examples of music you also will dismiss. I'm not going to be one of those people who says you just don't "get it" man and try to explain it to a deaf ear. I'm not going to be one of those people who tells you that ska is awesome and you're 'gay' if you don't like it, that's just dumb. You hate ska. We get it. You always will. My question is why are you here if you hate it so damn much?
There should of been a horn playing a high G strait it during the intro. If you listen closely to the recording, you hear it in the background... other that this performance fucking rocks... but as usual, you can't even here the fucking bass :( MORE BASS
That dancing guy is just the absolute best fucking human ever in all of history!!
How many bands out there have a guy just for dancing...? Love it! lol
Thomas MacIver slipknot i think, but they also play percussion not like this 😁

Me too. Although he kinda starts doing carlton's shuffle at times.
He is the bands manager, and started dancing to get into shows that sold alcohol when he wasn’t old enough to get in
Dancing is part of Ska tradition - known as skanking
Every band needs a Ben Carr.
I met Dicky Barrett at a warped tour, such a nice dude, it's funny cause his speaking voice is as gravelly as his singing voice, it's kinda startling at first, but what an amazing experience to meet him!
Anyone who digs the tones has to see them live and this is proof...
I wanna hire that dancing guy for every appearance I make at a party.
Recovery live on a Saturday morning. The kids and I would watch it every week. Plenty of bands played straight from a gig and then an after party. It was often chaos. I love it. I remember watching this in another century…

The show's over, the band has long ago broken up, but the guy is still dancing down under...................
nice
Kings of Ska, by far.
RIP
Probably cause it was the earliest ever performance of it. Was probably 9.30 in the morning. Not prime rock n roll hour.
Ben Carr (the manager/dancer) is so hot!
The guy dancing is killing me
@kardzfn21 have no idea what ska or skapunk is, but this song has to be the ultimate 1. driving fast song. 2. riding motorcycle fast song, 3. air guitar/air drum song. the perfect one. if i could wear out a computer hdd replaying this, id be doin it right now lol

"Wanted for a band, average white guy to stand to the right and dance, we provide a suit, you provide the moves!"
Dunno if the early morning TV show did them any good. A bit hangsy?!

They're probably jet lagged

The amount of calories Ben burns after performances is probably insane. Awesome dancing.

Whaaaaaaaaat?
I know so many people that like ska.
The trick is to not take it too seriously, every band is a joke.
They are all just making fun.
Are there are just like three chords played on guitar during this song? LOL. Love it, but I think so....
$50 to the first person who knows "dancing guy's" name.
(I know it, just curious if anyone else does...)
StBeefwich Ben carr

You think the guy who just dances gets paid the same as everyone else?
Didn't Green Day appear on this show and get the host upset by cussing and acting dumb? Anyway, a nice performance of this song.
jimbo 2346 YES
What does the dancing bloke actually do? Has he won a competition to be on stage?
He dances. That is what he does.
