Any band that employs a full time dancer and credits him on the sleeve as "the bosstone" is a band I will always love and respect.

@roachdoggjr1940 You might be right actually. It would just be a gimmick that would inevitably become overused sort of like the meme "Credit to the camera man for surviving that blah blah blah."

This song is based on Boston Irish-Catholic politician James Michael Curley. He was Mayor, Governor, Rep and City Councilor. He served one of his terms in federal prison.
A famous book that was also based on Curley was entitled “The Last Hurrah”, and Curley’s autobiography was entitled “I’d Do It Again!”

Well he was fueled by a lack, drew inspiration from a need.
So many problems to crack and mouths to feed.
Crooked was the path, and brazen was the walk.
A cocky swagger, up the ladder, and could he ever talk.
The last hurrah? Nah! I'd do it again.
The Rascal King behind the bars
or the one in front of them.
The love of God and constant contradictions,
With a smile, wink, or nod.
    What's stranger, fact or fiction?
And never ceasing to amaze me on a regular basis.
First hand in his pocket or first fist into the faces.
The last hurrah? Nah! I'd do it again.
The Rascal King behind the bars
or the one in front of them.
    A legendary character.
    When? Only then.
    Where? Only there.
A hero or a hooligan? Well, that part's just never clear.
Pride or shame, it's all the same.
Who's innocent or who's to blame?
    Politics or just a game?
Well in the end they knew his name.
The last hurrah? Nah! I'd do it again.
The Rascal King behind the bars
or the one in front of them?

From 1991-1998 I drove a car that had no radio, cassette, CD... no music player of any kind. I enjoyed the silence. It was like being on a new musicless island for 8 years. The place I worked had classic country playing all the time. That was it.
Now I'm finally getting caught up on the music of that period and I really like what I'm hearing.

Gonna be honest. I played Rouge Trip before I knew the name of this song. I'm 18, I've been playing that game since I was like 6. I just learned the name a month ago. Only reason I managed to find the name is because I heard the AFV song, the impression I get and thought it was this song, then I realized it was the same guys on the same album.
