Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Technology in Aerospace Propulsion and Control Systems

A short clip showing how Transense surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors can be used in the context of aerospace vehicles. These lightweight sensors are for flight propulsion motors.
These sensors are totally passive on the shaft meaning there is no need for a battery or complex electronics on the shaft. The sensors are driven by a dedicated and proprietary ASIC developed by Transense which enables SAW technology to be deployed in a cost-effective manner.
