Shawn thank you so much for using your incredible talent and skill set to bring the Sixty 8 Deluxe to the TH-cam audience! This is a great demo of how the Sixty 8 allows the character of the player, guitar and amp to shine through. Keep up your amazing work!!!
fantastic pedal. I used to have a 50 watt Marhall Plexi from 1968 small box, this pedal has more gain, obviously, but it does capture the overall feel of that amp.
This format of demo is pretty cool. Get in, get some sounds, get out. Showcases the pedal well, great playing. And it's a marshall drive sound, what else needs to be said. It's a good alternative to the longer expositions on other videos you do too (which are also great).
Awesome Shawn...now I have go farther in debt but that’s ok...life is short....great job AS usual...went great with my morning coffee.... with so many plexi-style pedals out there it’s absolutely addicting.....
I had a booster for mine, back in 1970, it just accentuated the sag of the rectifier tubeI bought a used 1971 SL JMP, in 1971the power supply with the SS rectifier was rock solid, but not necessarily what I was looking for later in life !!

I have this pedal and absolutely love it! So dynamic and rich sounding!
Thanks Shawn!! I love my LPD Sixty 8 Deluxe (and his Kokopelli Drive) and can't wait to get home to try out those settings.

Even with Low gain mode and boost off? Just asking because I've never had a Plexi and am curious to know.
Man, I love your demos!!! Great tone! LPD pedals are amazing. I have the Eighty 7 and it is SPECTACULAR.

This is a great demo of my favorite LPD pedal ,thanks Shaun !
Great demo as always Shawn!! Cheers!!
As always EXCELLENT playing
nice light crunch to a dual rectifier not a whole lot of plexi still has a nice kick and shapeable tone
I have no idea what these things are but I sure like dancing to these videos
Sounds wonderful and the playing is fantastic! Bit too much drive for 1968 though ;-)
Got this yet I’m looking at the stacked 68 version even though I have the newer version. I need help.
What Amp are you using and how is it getting to the recording media??
I'm using a Suhr Bella into a Universal Audio OX. I'm coming out of the OX into my Apogee Quartet preamp. My DAW is ProTools.
Sik sound.
Is the pedal running with 9 or 18 volts? Thanks.
9 Volts. Thanks for watching!
Using the Bella to demo this pedal ?
Yes. Thanks for watching!
just not hearing a lot of "plexi" in this
and
yes, at one time I owned one
it has the "hard" sound of the JMP metal panel power supply, no sag of the plexi power supply ..perhaps better in person

after sooo many years, I sold my '71 SL, and bought a Fender Pro Sonic
try one !!! .. :)-
I am sooooo there, Dude..at 65 I did not want to part with a lot of what I sold ..but then, one needs a place of abode .. :)
Mmmm... Shawn's playing, brilliant as always. The pedal.... Meh.
Thanks for watching Mark!
