I just did this repair but I didn’t disconnect battery and power under the hood like you did. Ended up getting a spark when it touched the bar as I pulled it back. Car wouldn’t turn over and said drivetrain malfunction. What fuse(s) did I likely blow?
Great video!!. so on my 2015 528i - once AC/Heat fan to max - nothing blows through the vents. I opened the hood and the AC line has frosting - so do you think replacing the Blower MOtor fix this issue ?
Always check fuse first but if that blew then more than likely it will again. This is due to the blower motor going bad and pulling high resistance. Therefore you would have to replace the blower motor, resistor/regulator, and the fuse (if it was blown). More often a fuse won’t blow and it’s just the motor itself.
I went to Lowe’s and purchase multi purpose air filter sheet for $6.99. Cut approx 9 1/2 L x 4W . Works Great… Dealer wants $146 for the replacement 👎🏾
Appreciate the video. Looks a lot less labor intensive than I was expecting.
Great video- saved me time and a lot of money!
Thank you!
@@TexThaiAuto u need to vacuum those leaves up but thanks for the videos
Super helpful video. Does having airflow turn off and on intermediately but blow cold air when on indicate a bad blower motor?
Should note it also works with the 6 series. Thanks for the vid. Saved me a lot of headache.

worst blower motor ive done. but doable with this video. Thanks! Subscribed
My ac started making this squeaking sound and the only thing I can think of is the blower motor. Hope that’s all it is install looks easy.

yes if there is no air flow within the cabin then i would check the blower motor
Hi Tex Thai
I have a 2013, 528I and all of a sudden the blower stopped working would be the cost of blown fuel or the blower motor. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for this video. It was very helpful
Question with disconnecting the Battery will that require some special coding
No it won’t.
Very helpful thanks
Is the 2013 528i bmw blower in the same location?
Yes
Do you need to disconnect the power source?
Watch the video again and it will answer your question
Did you bought this from autozone or aftermarket or OEM?
Aftermarket.
@@TexThaiAuto how's working?
is the resistor for the blower motor encased or in a separate area.
I believe it was encased. Looking at a wiring diagram now and I do not see a separate location for the resistor.

If it is your vehicle and works without issues then it works 🤷♂️
Thank you , nice work!
It’s the final stage resistor also located by the blower motor?
Yes
