This is one of things I need to work on. Just got back in the dental field and this is one of the things that intimidates me the most.

So true! It can be intimidating to explain things to patients, but practice will help. Good luck!

I wish we could do this but we’re a medí cal , production based , corporate office so we have to rush the patient out the room to bring in a new one 😩😒

Well, this video is a guide to help boost production. Even though your office may bee seeing tons of new patients, are they coming back for their treatment? If the answer is yes then you’re doing good.

The fact that I got thrown into assisting without knowing anything is wild lmao
    I'm trying 😪

      What do you mean?

@@DentalVibes sorry if I was vague. I mean I work in sterilization and now I got thrown into assisting with very little help. It's so overwhelming and stressful. I don't even know how to take an x ray and I feel like I need to learn everything fast. Super fast but I'm a slow learner

@@marieschrader9150I understand 100% I’ve been a Dental Assistant for a year now & when I first started I had 0 tools to help take the X-rays like (Rinn Instruments)& it was super intimidating .. Now I’m not sure if you’re office has that but, I highly recommend to use those when taking X rays. It helps when capturing the photos & how to line up the cone Parallel. The only way to get better & confident is by practicing everyday. I know it’s easier said & done but I believe, you can do it! 👍🏼 & Also practice with your coworkers, look up tips & tricks on how to take accurate X-rays.

@@marieschrader9150 I’m also a slow learner too btw. But I promise it gets better. Just be confident

@@Defttones.. I finish my externship on April 14th and I’m nervous on getting a job. What do I put on my resume that will land me it? Since I only really have two months of hands on experience and offices don’t want newbies. I don’t know anything man I barely know the instruments names or how to use the computer system. It’s complicated

Hey! So we don’t place rubber dams anymore and it would be really hard to do a demonstration without a real patient. Sorry 😔
