The Foundling Museum near Russell Square is free and interesting. Sir Soane's museum is also free and amazing, it's like a mini British museum with some paintings. They do free tours everyday and they have monthly candlelight evenings. The fan museum is also interesting, but it's in SE1 I think near the Tower Bridge.

Lovely video, Jess! I've never heard of any of these museums before and now I'm intrigued to visit all of them. 😀 Another example of a lesser-known museum (I think it's not famous) is the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology in the premises of University College London. If you are into Archaeology it's really worth a visit. It's quite small but I enjoyed my visit very much. 😄

I don't know if it still exists but in 1990 we happened upon a small mechanical museum. It was full of mechanical toys that you could put a coin in to see them work. My favorite was the mechanical podiatrist. I had to take off my shoe and put it in the machine. The "podiatrist" mechanical robot examined my foot and gave me a diagnosis! It was one of the coolest places I have ever been. I was in London in 2019 but did not get a chance to look for it.
I think you would call them clockwork machines. It was the best place I visited on that trip!

If you are visiting Leighton House, know that photography & videotaping are not permitted. (This practically killed me, because the house is incredibly beautiful inside.
