Gen 7 was one of my favourite generations. One thing I never really got was the hate for ultra beasts, I think're all pretty cool and have interesting designs.

Yea bro I couldn’t agree more. I pulled that Gardevoir and Sylveon GX out of a dollar pack and I immediately loved it. At the time was only “worth” about $45 and I couldn’t believe how under appreciated it was, along with a lot of other GX alt arts. I love the sword and shield V alt arts, but man, something about the alt art GX’s.. they don’t make them like they used to. I wish i was collecting when these sets were in stores.. it would’ve been awesome to chase some of these down.

I loved collecting all the Tag Team cards! it was nice seeing Babies, Wailord and Magikarp and the Parilization towards the top! could not agree more with how great these cards are! I hope something like this comes back because seeing multiple pokemon on a single card and not just in the background is awesome!
The only three Tag Team cards I have are the Giratina/Garchomp, the Espeon/Deoxys, and the Umbreon/Darkrai, all from their respectful promotional products. I absolutely loved how you referred to the Garchomp/Giratina card as "Garchomp ordering food at the Giratina Drive-Through". 🤣 Fantastic job, and I agree, a lot of these are slept on, and they're all amazing!! :)
I’d love the Gardevoir/Sylveon for my personal collection, but my favorite artwork is the mew/mewtwo. Mewtwo’s look of frustration while mew is giggling in the background.
Putting Reshiram and Zekrom GX in the bottom half of this list is a crazy take, but then again not everyone lived through the storyline and magic of Black and White..

Kawayoo is my favorite artist and that Pikarom is my favorite alt art. With the Mega Sableye tyranitar at second. Great list and I can't really argue with it at all.
Great collection and great opinion on the ranking! I‘m so glad that I noticed these cards back in 2021 and started buying my own set. So most of them I got for a decent price. Only exception was the Guardevoir&Sylveon which I bought around a month ago for a hefty price to complete the set. I love going through my binder and just stare at these artworks. They are wonderful. 😊
I like the Celebi & Venusaur alt art, it's just beautiful. Reason why because from the art depicted looks like Venusaur just met a Deity which Celebi kind is and Venu was enlightened.
This is also a huge goal of mine. 5 to go to have every alt art made, got very lucky by pulling the Latias latios from a three card dollar tree pack. So atleast that’s out of the way
@@OpossumBud I agree with your order pretty much. Obviously we are all going to have slightly different lists but mine would be close to yours. I think I’d have Reshiram & Zekrom in first. The regular GX of that card is stunning in itself and that makes me think you should do one for the standard GX versions.
Great taste tbh, 2 and 1 are my all time favorites. I'm so happy I got the reshiram zekrom back when both the normal and rainbow together with the N card costed me like 30 dollars at most for the 3 of them. Now it would be impossible.

I love the tag team cards! My favourite are Zekrom and Reshiram, Jigglypuff and M Lopunny and Rowlett and A Exeggutor. I was really hoping that they'd do a Raikou, Suicune and Entei tag team or Ho-oh and Lugia :)
I have the english Rowlet and Alolan Exeggutor full art from Unified Minds. Pretty bad ass card. Yeah that stained glass Three Birds GX is in my top 5 favorites. I have the japanese one too. Definately a keeper ...peace

I collected before I joined the Army in late 1999 and got out in 2013. then picked up in 2015. and pokemon roughly 2 years ago. Its fun . My ADHD attaches me to it and even the thought of getting rid of anything make me sick. They're all keepers. ima 45 yr old kid lol . Deuces!
My favorites from this era of alt arts are Sylveon+Garde, Umbreon+Darkrai, Greninja+Zoroark, Mew+Mewtwo, and Lucario+Melmetal. I'm kinda surprised you ranked melmetal and lucario so low, but I understand your points on it. Gren+Zoro is clooooose to Sylveon and Garde, but it's really hard to compete with the cute factor of that art. Though, I keep forgetting to pick up the Braixen. Dislike Charizard, but anything Magical Girl related to Braixen is a win in my book.
