Part of the reason the movie is so disjointed may be that four people worked on the story, one of whom was Jim Wynorski, who has done far better work (Chopping Mall, Deathstalker 2), but has also directed erotic parodies (The Bare Wench Project, The Witches of Breastwick). Also, House IV was shot in 1990 but wasn't released until 1992, showing how little faith anyone involved had in it.

He married a new woman with a daughter of her own. I don't know about the stuff with the step brother and his father owning the house since that doesn't seem to fit. Maybe make it HER father's house and change the step brother to someone else entirely.
Maybe she thought she could fix up the place and sell it for more than the guy offered. A lot of scenes of her going around and inspecting things and trying to maybe fix stuff.

I was born in 1982. The original House had a scene that scared me so much as a child we had to shut it off. So believe me when I say that I am a lifelong House fan. I can confirm that this film was an insulting travesty even as a dumb child who liked everything. I've watched Howling VII more than this. But Pizza Man is classic!

Wait, Captain Planet stole a plot line from Time Trax? I think it was the first or second Time Trax where the recurring villain was going to get rich by sending nuclear waste into the future (which is really a better idea than sending it into the past, since it is still around if you do that) I know, way off point, just shocked at two separate shows thinking "pollution via time travel" makes for a compelling plot.
We live in a two story house with a special needs child and how did we solve that? LET HER HAVE THE ROOM DOWNSTAIRS! Why wouldn't they do that in this movie? Oh yea they wanted cheap thrills "omg that poor disabled child fell down the stairs! How scary! And sad!" Pathetic and stupid way to get a jump scare.
Just set back and throw on a night of house , the first a fun campy classic, the second story another fun just jump in and run then for some intriguing fun watch The Frighteners. Now shut your brain down and watch The horror show House 3 enjoy the straight up horror switch a roo. Now put on house 4 and just set back and have fun Kane hodder is a pizza I mean you can’t go wrong with Kane hodder as a pizza.

I finally got them to complete the House saga. They were discounted. Cheaper than the Blu-rays.
