What’s the max size stock this press can punch? I know it has an 8 inch stroke, so if I were to make something with more height, like an axe, will it fit? Thanks
It's primarily for punching holes Joe! Though it can also be used to hold different shapes of top tooling for forging ornamental work or stamping in designs.
A great press to an addition to anyone's shop!!
Thank you sir!
Nice! Since I got mine I've made a few dies myself! I love the hammer die that thing is sweet!
Thanks brother!!!
is that frame only 1/4 inch steel? I thought it be like 1/2 at a minimum. I guess it keeps the weight down.
Hi...aswome press!
Just saw it on your site.
Will this forge down 2" square mild steel?
Kind Regards
It will absolutely move 2" square - we were just punching 2" round 1045 on the above 12 ton this week for hammer blanks!
Très cool

Fancy looking die, what's the exact purpose? I'm getting ready to forge up a couple of dog faced hammers soon on my Coal Iron fast 16 ton.
