Excellent review. Can you tell me about the 90 built-in workouts? Does it have skipping/rope jumping? I want to choose between stratos 3 and gtr2. Skipping is my primary form of exercise. So, knowing this is important for me.

One question that I can't find anywhere.. In that screen when acquiring GPS, there's a settings button, is it possible to pair a strap heart rate sensor? (Stratos can do it)
Doesn't seem to be possible. The settings button leads to a few menus - "Workout Goal", "workout reminder", "Graph" and "Auto-pause".

And my current phones contacts are in Google and text messages as well so if I purchased this watch the Amazfit GTR 2 sports edition than I won't receive text messages and phone call notifications correct? You will receive notifications about texts and calls - so it should be fine for your kind of usage.

I am too using on my iphone better life is very good and classic looking watch. Get stainless steel version. It’s worth more the price with oled display it’s same like looking at your iPhone screen.

how many songs can we store in it ? I mean whats the Storage capacity ?, If I use it for music purpose connecting it to my soundcore while jogging how long can it last ? any estimation ?
for 2GB you can store around 200 songs with the size of 10MB. This is with quality of 320kbps.

It is water resistant. And yeah - it will track it all and will sync with the phone after it gets in range.

I'm afraid most watches won't qualify for such a feature (yet), but you can try something based on WearOS with needing to press and hold one button to launch google assistant.

The GPS works the sme way as it worked a year ago. GTR 3 seems to be more accurate though.

Hi, I have problems on the gtr2 with the weather app and widget. I have
4g and wifi always on , on my xiaomi phone, and I have tried both
choosing an exact city, and getting the location by gps. The weather
refreshes badly, and so it is not reliable. I have to look on the mobile
phone app for the correct weather. Did you have this problem? Any tips?
Try to keep the location settings ON. It might help.
It is on all the time. My friend has the same problem. I hope they fix this with a firmware upgrade...

I have one, the screen lags by a lot, the music control works really badly, and be aware that alarms and calendar are totally separate within the app. These are things that reviews didn't say
Haven't noticed the part about the music control. As for the calendar and alarms - totally - not a good implementation. Thanks for sharing this, RON
@@TechMishka so for Android, when you pause a song from the watch, exit the menu and return, the music source reverts to the onboard storage, and you cant resume without going to your phone again. It feels fairly untested

THe Mi Watch is not as smart. But I like its design better.

Haven't tried that - so I cannot confirm.
Recently I bought an Amazfit Gtr2 watch that is stuck on the logo, I tried hard reset and soft reset but nothing works, it is continuously showing the same logo, I am unable to connect the watch with mobile or application to change the face.
After the battery drained out I connect with the charger but nothing work.
Please help me

Depends on the way you use it. Should be more than 2 and half days.
Amazfit has stepped out of the super cheap, but awesome, category. I like my GTR so I'll be sticking with it. There are many other watches at this price point to consider.

Accuracy is good - on par with most similar smartwatches.
Alexa is region restricted. I live in Bulgaria and it is unavailable for my region.

There are some not too bad whitelabel products. But they are hit or miss.

@@TechMishka Yeah… unfortunately. I wish Amazon would partner with Fitbit or someone else and do their own wearables. Do a smartwatch with the same sensors as the Fitbit Sense (which I just got), a fitness tracker and a smart chest strap heart monitor that partners with headphones, so you can skip carrying the phone for your workout.

Both devices are accurate.
Do you know if this watch measures the heart beat under water too? That's good information for swimmers and many reviewers don't pay attention to it.
In most of the cases, the sensor stops in the presence of water.
Hm, that's a pretty good point. If most watches stop - this one will likely stop too. Let me see if I can test this feature soon.

I can't seem to transfer music from my android 10.3.7 phone to the watch. It does work with android 9 phones though. Is anyone else having this issue? How do I solve it

Tried with a OnePlus 6T, Redmi Note 8 and an Samsung Note 20...Nothing works. WiFi connects but immediatly disconnects. Don't know why Amazfit don't use bluetooth to transfer musics instead using "WiFi"...
Bluetooth will be really slow...

I went from a Gear S3 Frontier, to this. I was sketchy about these Chinese companies, but what the hell. I purchased the aluminum version. This thing is lite. I literally forget I have it on. Gorilla glass 5 or something. I give the build/components around 4.7. only thing I dislike is the cheap looking/feeling watch band.
It wouldn't hurt to put a tad bit more effort into OS, and app design. Other that, I believe they are owned byXioami.

Yeah, Amazfit is owned by Huami, and Huami is the unit that makes Mi Band and most Mi wearables. SO they share the knowledge and the experience.
The OS will improve, I'm sure about it. And I think you will get more and more features.

I think this watch is fitness tracker, not a smart watch. By the way, I just bought it for 4 days and happy for good design, lightweight and the price in term of overall performance.
