This is seriously one of the most epic brickfilms ever made. A staggering amount of work, and an absolute delight to take in.
This is high praise coming from a legend of brickfilming 🙌 Your Helm's Deep videos definitely contributed to the inspiration behind this film. Thank you :)
@@hamsterproductionsofficial you watched my Helm's Deep video and said "hold my ale"
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop "Hold my beer... and wait 12 years please? 🙏"
@@hamsterproductionsofficial dude, you haven't been waiting, you've been making stuff! This isn't the first epic you've released on your channel. It's just the most epic!
@@BrotherhoodWorkshop A very fair & complimentary point 😂 Delighted you have enjoyed the film 🤩
This is a historic moment for Lego animation, it's an honor for me to see this beautiful film on its premiere day.
Such a beautiful day

This has got to be some of the best lego animation i have ever seen
So it would seem...
I agree, he’s playing with the big leagues.😄
This feels exactly like what a Lego Castle Movie would be like. The epic castle siege, a mythical creature, all the different Lego knights from over the years, and the comedic hitting a soldiers helmet and shaking his body like a gong. This was perfect. Your videos are perfect. You are perfect
The animation is so smooth, respect
It wouldn’t be a Hamster Productions stop motion without an extraordinary high body count LOL
Ever since your KRAKEN animation, you just prove yourself to be the best animator of naval scenes over and over again. Seriously, the amount of detail and realistic water movement you manage to convey through the simple use of Lego pieces is astonishing
I so enjoyed this! The attention to detail from every angle is amazing. From sound to camera work to lighting to story telling. Chef's kiss
I love the animation and the details that went into it. Especially also that you rooted it in real history, rebuilding a really existing castle and made plenty of references to real events ant people.
I believe Ray Harryhausen and Willis O'Brien would be proud if they saw this, I would like to think they looking down with smiles on their faces.
Huge respect, thank you 🥲
You're welcome@@hamsterproductionsofficial
Glad you're back! I enjoyed this one!
Thanks Jordan. Always encouraging to hear positive feedback from the best in the business 🤩 And thank you for your support too!
Love your work. Smart and funny :)
Thank you for your support, I am very happy to hear you enjoy my work! 🤩
What a wonderful animation! I'm hooked on it, it's really good!
Absolutely remarkable! As someone who has little patience when making stop-motion videos, I love everything about this. Shot composition, story, humour, and *countless* little details you didn't *need* to animate, but you did anyway. Loved every second, bravo!
Beautiful Storytelling!
Thank you 🤩 That means a lot coming from one of the best!
This is criminally underrated. The details and effort put into this are outstanding, almost inhuman! This is insane. And I thought that The Barracuda Heist could not be topped... How wrong was I
Thanks
Thank you for your support 🙏

OH MA GAWD. OHHHH MAAAA GAWD. That was sooooooooo cool, well done to you!!!!!!!!!
After so long of waiting, I only have one thing to say: thank you so much for inspiring me, for this is the best stop motion I’ve ever seen in my life. Now I feel motivated as ever to pursue my own dreams of making stop motions.
Stunning and absolutely remarkable. What else can I say
Great work, this brightened my day during a trying time
Really glad you enjoyed the film! Thank you for your support :)
Absolutely incredible…A true masterpiece! I have no shortage of things to say about it. The action, the story, the beautiful large scale sets, the epic brick built Loch Ness, I truly don’t know how you pulled this off! Mad respect 🫡
That huge splash at the end………(chef’s kiss)
Wow... what an awesomely animated Loch Ness Monster!!!
amazing. The baby loch ness monster looks adorable.
True true
Amazing just amazing I have seen animations with great fluid movement such as this but they are all missing the length, story and quality of the background this is truly next level
When I was a kid I was weirdly obsessed with the loch Ness monster (and Lego of course) and I would always spend the afternoon trying to find cool Lego animations about it THIS VIDEO RIGHT HERE is like a childhood dream coming true absolutely amazing work!!!
It was great having a chance to see this on the big screen and to speak with you! Such a fantastic Film! There are so many amazing techniques and standout shots throughout the film; in particular, I love the shot of the piece of castle being thrown on top of one of the soldiers and the weight and impact you can feel from the shot. The shot of the monster crunching the soldier and the horse, is also brilliant. Overall, the level of direction and suspense that you build up throughout the film is expertly crafted and so carefully considered, from beginning to end.
Thank you for your glowing review Will, very kind words indeed. It was great to meet you at the premiere :)
This is a real masterpiece!! You need to make full on movies!!!
That was great Josh you outdid yourself this time. this must be one of the best brickfilms made this year. It was great and it was more than worth the wait.
The best 15 minutes I’ve ever spent on TH-cam
Pure stop motion with no effects or computer generated images!
Thank you for this little moment of entertainment! :)
Awesome is not a strong enough word to describe this film. The only word I can think of that can accurately describe it is beautiful. It is a beautiful film, in every way.
Loch Ness Monster:
“This isn’t *your* kingdom.
This isn’t *their* kingdom.
This. Is. *MY KINGDOM* .”
THE LEGEND IS BACK WHEN THE WORLD NEEDED HIM MOST!!!!!!!!
This is awesome! Loved the converging storylines. Keep up the great work. Subscribed!
This is amazing, the animation, the set design, the battle, the humor, the monster animation, I haven’t been amazed by a stop motion like this one in very long time.
Bravo Hamster Productions, it’s outstanding and definitely worth waiting for 👏👏
Such smooth animation. Reminds me of those old Ray Harryhausen films like Jason and the Argonauts.
Best stop motion I've seen
I love this animation as I am a scotsman myself especially when the baby Nessie appeared!!!
Wow. Incredibly well done! I can’t imagine how long this took
This was such a joy to watch, and the whole execution was so well done. There were even poibts I got chills
Oh, my Fairfax County. This deserves to be in theaters, and idk how to explain it,but this animation is the most insane and God like I have ever seen in my life. You have done Well Josh this is the best animation so far. I gotta give this a 10/10
This was truly worth waiting for.
Am so proud to be related to the creator. He's amazing at this and has so much patience. Kudos.
1:18 🤣🤣🤣 the highland cows!!! Awesome!! I have to say! That was AWESOME!!!! INCREDIBLE! As a scotsman myself (from moray aswell!) i can say it was all lore accurate! Apart from that last bit, that drum should’ve been a bodhran rather that a usual style drum. They’re played with a single stick
Awesome. Top Notch stop-motion animation!
Easily one of the greatest lego stopmotion animators ever. Always know you are GUARANTEED an incredible film when its from Hamster Productions! Can't wait to watch this.
This feels just like something reminiscent of Aardman's works with the smooth camera work!
Holy moly that was rad! My son and I LOVED it! Holy cow, what great animation and such compelling story telling without dialog! Keep up the excellent work, Hamster Producitons!
Saving this to watch over and over and when my daughter is old enough to not be freaked out! hahaah!
This is so bloody cool, I love how organic Nessie’s movements look
Piece of Gold and Art. AMAZING
Best Lego Animator, along with BrotherhoodWorrkshop- u guys r legends. I am just 13 and do some Lego Marvel Animations, but this is amazing. You have my respect man.
That was exceptionally well told and filmed!!
11:41 The bubbles popping on the surface 👌
The quality and sheer scale of this project is staggering. The best brickfilm I've ever seen.
Perfect. Perfect. Down to the last minute detail
Outstanding work! Action shots are cleverly planned and phased. Makes you feel like watching a high budget quality production animation!
SCOTLAAAND FOOREEVER!
What an absolutely amazing Brickfilm, the story, setpieces, animation all 10/10
That was stunning! This story really takes its time to breathe and does an excellent job with pacing. It’s a ton of fun to watch! I loved the shot of the golden bell ringing and my favorite shot was when the catapult ball drowns in the lake. Beautifully done! 👏
This movie you made is awesome! I'm pretty certain that Willis O'Brien, Ray Harryhausen, and Phil Tippet would love it.
This is absolutely magnificent!!!😩👌
I watched this with my siblings, and we all loved it!
We have some experience with Lego stop-motion, so we have appreciation for how difficult it is.
The castle, and Loch Ness Monster builds are excellent!!
Excellent work dude, you haven’t made just an enjoyable brick film; but an enjoyable film. You should be very proud of this achievement.
The animation is incredible!!!
This is the best lego animation I have seen all year!!!! It was 100% worth the wait! I'm a little confused with what happened to Alexander de forbes though?
A true masterpiece indeed. Well worth the wait. Spectacular movement and sounds. The idea of the baby monster was so clever. It was so much fun we'll be watching it several times. Like your other stories. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
This is just a literal movie
An absolute masterpiece!
Well done on the film, I really loved it.
The dedication, the camera work, THE RIGGING! This is truly a masterpiece! I aspire to be a third this good, some day.
OUTSTANDING ! Im 60 yrs old watching lego and so sucked into story l forgets it lego. 😊
WELL DONE JOSH!! that was EPIC!! i am in love with lego nessie, her gozzy eyes and all that WATER!!🤯 INCREDIBLE achievement 👏👏
Thank you Georgia, this means a lot coming from the expert in stop-motion-animated-liquids 🌊 I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
This film was amazing and you've improved so much. Congrats on your doctorate and im glad to have come across this vid.
My 10 year old grandson and I watch hours of Lego videos. He was absolutely blown away with the animation. We have watched this several times already. We can’t wait for the next episode .
A massive achievement in brickfilming. The animation, the scale, the story-telling and the attention to detail. The cause and effects of the battle are crystal clear. It doesn't feel like random chaos, it feels like one things affects the other which affects the other. I.e. the boulder sinking and waking the loch ness, the arrows hitting the loch ness causing it to wince in pain and fall forwards. I hope this brickfilm takes you to great places in the future! Well done!
This was an incredible video, I've been watching for years and every video of yours I watch is absolutely magical. The time, the effort, and the final product always gives us an amazing experience when watching, and you deserve every bit of success.
Amazing lego movie, full of action and plot twists as always. I'm going to share it with friends.
This has got to be the best lego stop motion i have ever seen!!!!!
The best stop motion iv ever encountered, Made me goosebump!
Absolutely amazing. Best lego Animation I have ever seen. Well done and good job
❤ wahou !
C'était super, merci beaucoup.
Vos effets avec l'eau sont inventifs et très bien réalisés.
Where do I even start! This was incredible. You inspired me well over a decade ago to make my own stop motion animation videos. This one was truly the peak of all of your videos. The camera moves, depth of field, set design, destruction animation, humor and epicness! Wow! Congratulations, this must have been a lot of hard work and it has payed off in an incredible film that is peak LEGO animation!
The rock hitting the water and sinking to the bottom is such an amazing shot. Well done! It looks so cinematic
This is perfect. I can even imagine how hard it must have been to make this animation with so many details
Well done, a masterpiece, good work for all crew members of this lego animation film ;)
This is hands down the BEST Lego animation ever made
Great brickfilm based on Scottish History and legends, that's why I like it! The animation of the monster is very well made such as the fight scene and the castle! A good job👍
What a marvel in every way (the characters, the scale, the production design, the monster...). It's an absolute delight when all the elements of the story come together and unfold simultaneously. Once again, you've reinvented your own genre to take it to a whole new level. I really appreciate videos with such epic scale and this kind of genre. Thank you for making this video a reality!
An absolute MASTERPIECE, I’m totally in awe, literally nothing I could say would do this justice ❤❤❤
Dr. Joshua Chawner, today is a great day for brickfilming, a day that will be remembered. Incredible film, truly remarkable, thank you for bringing a new piece of art to this world.
Fantastic film. It deserves to do well in the awards 🙂🦕
Absolute art! You are a master of LEGO comedy, scale and imaginative cinematography! Thanks for sharing and inspiring! You must be so proud.
damn fine work from all involved. Cheers to ya
This is an amazing lego film, truly a masterpiece! Enjoyed every second of it,! :) Definitely going to watch some btc
Where to begin? You continue to outdo yourself in more impressive ways with each animation, for no other reason than your desire to bring a beautiful video to your fans. Your sound design, set design, action, and humor are rarely outclassed. The attention to detail you bring to every video does not go unnoticed. A comprehensive list of favorite details would drag on, but I just have to highlight the trebuchet scenes and Nessie’s design. Both utterly phenomenal! Well worth the wait, my friend. I’m already eager to see what you’ve got in store for us next.
Honestly, one of the best LEGO stopmotion videos I have ever see! I like that you added historical elements through the characters to give a certain level of believability to the story! The plesiosaurid design of the Loch Ness Monster was also brilliant! Everything was extremely well done: from the story, its historical referencing, the soundboard, the movements of the monster and the way it pursues its prey - even by slithering its neck through the tower and also the earlier moment when its jaws close shut on the knight and his mount! It may taken "more than an year to complete the filming", but it was totally worth it! You should be very proud! Congratulations, you deserve all the praise you get! This is content that certainly deserves a rewatch ;) !
This was SPECTACULAR. Truly a brickfilm of all time. The scale and sheer epicness of this is incredible 🍻
This is one of the best animations I have seen in a while. Especially with a giant monster.
That was really we thought out and really well animated 🤩
