Recently read a breakdown of this from the creative team & they said Harry's initial brief was "a food fight with children, and for it feel like a slight throwback to the ’60s" & then he was quite involved with the rest of the details. Harry is a genius and he always makes his music videos with lots of thoughts behind them.
This "cake-gare" has a long story. Which goes back to 2011 or 2012 i think.
Also it's very related to the lyrics.
All the 1D fans and Harry fans knows what happened on the next day after that night Louis and Harry had that "cake-gate"....

If you are a fan of 1D , you will understand what I mean.
The day after cake-gate happened, Simon called Louis and told him to travel with him and on a separate plane from the rest of the band, as he apparently wanted to punish him in his own way and remind him to behave properly. And we all saw how after that Louis went out with a girl and a few weeks later the news spread everywhere that Louis was going to be a father.
This is the truth that Louis said himself in one of his interviews.
Harry doesn't do video about nothing. He is the mastermind behind all his videos. This is just lazy thinking. Do some research on Harry and his life and what's been inflicted on him. Then, do a review.
