    The name of the youtuber is Mauri. And he is one of swedens biggest youtuber. He has also done work in tv as program manager in this years Idol, a program called Lego masters and then his own program "Vad hände sen?" (what happend then?). He had also work with one of swedens biggest newspapers Aftonbladet. Hope youre happy with my answer about Mauri Hermundsson. Love from Sweden

    He has his own production company where 10-15 people work. As well as the biggest evening newspaper in Sweden sponsoring his channel plus he also has other sponsors. He is absolutely one of the biggest Swedish-speaking TH-camrs. He also has TV programs on the Swedish channels.
    People like him because he is quite down-to-earth, even though he is actually a big celebrity in Sweden who also brings in quite a lot of money.

      Wrong. Aftonbladet doesn’t sponsor him anymore. And he doesn’t have 10-15 employees LOL! More like 3 ppl.

    • @tangfors
      @tangfors 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mellsten
      Aftonbladet may no longer sponsor him. But saw a video with him recently where the entire editorial team was shown and there were around 10 people.
      If I were to guess, he has one if not two reachers, a booker, at least tow cinematographer (but probably even three), at least one sound engineer (maybe two), a producer, a screenwriter, an editor. Then it is possible that some of these functions are performed by the same persons, but I would say that an absolute minimum is six persons, but probably more like 8-9. But he could also have a script and a picture producer (though he probably doesn't) a drone cinematographer. But okay, I exaggerated with 15, but it's definitely more than three between 6-10, I'd say.
      Then if everyone is permanently employed by him, I leave it unsaid. Most people in that industry work as consultants or as project employees for a shorter period.

    The Toast Skagen they serve here is definitely the fancy version. Most people use a regular toaster.
    Yes we do say shrimps (räkor) for both shrimps and prwans in Sweden, but there is actually a reason for the two names. Shrimps have more legs than prawns.
    "Ron Weasley"'s real name is Mauri Hermundsson and he is not only a youtuber, but a TV presenter and a journalist as well. He won the eight season of the Swedish version of Taskmaster.
    Fun fact: Ireland has the most gingers in the world (ca 10%), closely followed by the UK, mainly in Scotland, (ca 8,5%). Only about 2-4% of Swedes are gingers.

  • @stoferb876
    @stoferb876 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    The cheap non-fancy version of 'toast skagen' is just to put 'skagenröra' on a sandwich. The host is someone who has been a lot on swedish TV, so he has the connections and experience and everything to make very professional. I didn't even know he was a youtuber. When I visited London I ate some 'fish & chips' it was okay but not that amazing, was in a home of a guy who hosted a party and we ate a lot of delicious stuff. Especially pies, really really good pies.

    Cast iron skillets are actually very common in Sweden.
    Also burning any type of wood is a popular way to cook, at my local ski resort they cook hotdogs this way instead of using coal for instance and my family and I often travel to an abandoned hut with a fireplace and cook there...

    We in Sweden eat scones just like in Britain with tea as well, Fish and Chips is kind of popular as well and of course the popular beef wellington 😋
    In the old days they added anchovy to the meatballs it taste like pizza almost,
    I have to say In my kitchen at home we do all types of food from different countrys not only swedish food.

  • @swedishmetalbear
    @swedishmetalbear 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Swedish meatballs.. Ground meat. Usually a mix of pork and beef.. Or just beef.. Or a mixture of game meats (elk, deer, wild boar, bear) and beef.. Always breadcrumbs (or stale bread) and cream... A raw egg. Salt and pepper.. Always finely minced onion.. (In my family we always grate the onion when making meatballs) Some fry the onions until golden and sweet, before adding it to the meat dough.. Some people add a lot of spices to the meatballs. Specially around christmas. Allspice.. Nutmeg.. Ginger.. Cinnamon and Cloves (classic medieval spices) are all commonly used in different amounts depending on family recipe and preference.

    ..When I was in school about 45 years ago, a teacher told us that she had worked as an au pair in England. She mentioned that once, the family served cold macaroni with custard as a dessert... ¿?! Was that just an exception with her host family, or have you ever heard of something similar?
    Q: I've also heard that in England, people often say 'What's for pudding?' instead of 'What's for dessert.' Is that a regional thing, or do you usually have pudding as a typical dessert?
    Regarding meatballs.
    When you want to make a larger quantity. You can have the meatball mixture in a piping bag, press forward and pinch one meatball at a time which you drop into simmering broth. They sink to the bottom but float to the surface after they are fully cooked = just lift them out, let them cool and e.g. fill the freezer.
    Provide a frying surface when they are to be served.

    Yes he's one of the biggest Swedish TH-camrs, and he has also made his way to the Swedish tv-format.
    "Vad hände sedan" is a show where he seeks out the person behind viral TH-cam clips (and old child-stars or commercial guys etc) to find out "what happened next"/what happened to them?
    And speaking of Skagenröra: the awesome mess you put on the toast, Skagen along with the rest of Bohuslän (including the archipelago of Swedens West Coast), is a hidden gem. You wont hear so much about it since most tourists dont find their way there (but it still has lots of tourists). All the way from Gothenburgs southern archipelago (with islands like Donsö and Styrsö), to Gothenburgs northern archipelago (Hönö, Öckerö), to Marstrand and Marstrands fästning (Fortress of Marstrand), Lysekil, Skagen, Smögen - and all the way up to Strömstad, Swedens most west City.....unfortunatly I dont have any good links to give you. But Im sure there are travelers with vlogs from the west-coast of Sweden if you look around :)
    O
    P.S. British breakfast is holy. It's also da bomb for hungovers. Im not sure if it makes things worse or better though, but it's still da bomb. So to speak.

I trimmed away the fat, only to encounter: "Mummy, she hasn´t eaten up!" Concerned looks all around "Didn´t you like it?" Young and stupid me: "Oh yes, I´m just saving the best for last"
    My very first PTSD moment, that roll of pure, boiled mutton fat.

    I love British food. A real British breakfast is great. Beans, bread, eggs, bacon.

    Cast iron skillets are very common household items. xD But not everybody has an open fire to prepare your meals on. :P

    I thought prawns were the big shrimp, that the different was in the size/spieces.
    I like british food generally, been to England twice, but I can not stomach you heavy breakfasts. I don't eat meat so no bacon for me and to start the day with beans... I'll save that for lunch or dinner and just have an egg sandwich and/or some yoghurt and cereal.

    There's definitely some really great British food. When iw as in York we wen't to a pub that was, i am told, famous for their "toad in the hole" which was absolutely amazing. When i was in manchester i just walked in to a random pub and had a steak and ale pie, which was just to die for as well. I had a ton of great tasting, well made food when i lived in the UK.
    I think the bad reputation probably comes more from like quick and easy stuff. Like, i know a lot of people in the UK loves beans on toast, for example. But let's be real, it's bloody anemic. Baked beans taste like ass, toast is bland and combining the two unsurprisingly makes it taste like bland ass. But it's not like i would champion Swedish falukorv with macaroni and ketchup either, yet it's something that a lot of people eat. But it kind of sucks in the same way that beans on toast sucks. You should judge the food of a country by the best representation of it, not the worst, is what i'm trying to say. If you look up some great restaurants or recipies from the UK, you'll definitely have a good experience.

    I've been taught 'scrimps' are the really small prawns, and 'prawns' are the larger ones. But now I'm confused.
