Deadpool actually really kills "himself" in the sequel to the sequel where after he killed the "StoryBookVerse" he thinks the only thing left to kill is every alternate version of himself, so he exactly does that.
You know, She-Hulk is also aware she's in a comic book. I remember when she told the artist to hurry up and finish drawing the rest of the book. She's even aware of how many pages are left in the book.
Taskmaster is one of my favorite Marvel Characters. The Van Lente run added a ton to his character. So much depth was added to Taskmaster in that mini series. The Deadpool Killology is really cool, with the next one Killustrated being my favorite. Thanks for doing a Deadpool book, I know he's not in your wheelhouse but I really like him. Also, the 3rd volume of this series is "Deadpool Kills Deadpool" where he kills all of "himselves" and the 616 Deadpool has to stop him with a motley crew of different Deadpools. Some examples, Grootpool, Galacuspool, and Pandapool lol.
The comment " Ghost rider makes a great tattoo " is something I think Deadpool would say....in fact that whole little discussion about Ghost rider would be something Deadpool would say.
holy fuck Albert Camus reference! nice! though Camus wouldn't have said it was meaningless, he would've been more like, "this shit is absurd so we should find our own meaning or commit suicide" but that's neither here nor there. I just really dig Camus, his fiction works are some of my favorite. Highly recommend Exhile and the Kingdom
my theory on deadpool is that he doesn't "know the truth", its that he's insane, and one of his delusions is that he believes he's a comic book character. It's only by sheer coincidence that this is the truth... he'd still believe it even if it wasn't.
Also, Stan Lee has magic powers where he 'created' an idea then about a month or two months later the same idea for DC comes out. I think Stan just had contacts within DC and just took their ideas. I don't think he did it with negative intentions though.
+TheGotenza Back when Stan Lee was actually in charge and Marvel was on top, DC had a weird habit of changing things to be more Marvel like and Stan would force all of Marvel to change whatever that was to spite them. That being said the two stole, borrowed and shared so many characters that it doesn't really matter.
31:55 they could do a really weird "what if" story about this, like: what if Original Sin revealed the "secret" to everyone that they were all in a comic book? lol that would be... unique XD
Theres also Deadpool kills Deadpool. Which is this crazy version of Deadpool trying to kill all of the multiverse of Deadpool, which ends up having 616 Deadpool show up to try and save everyone. Kinda neat.
Some requests for you guys and your awesome shows and channel! 1-make "back issues" longer around 1h would be perfect cause you guys are worth the time 2-follow sal´s idea to make reviews of small archs during the week or so when you guys have extra time or feel like it 3-Please find a way to include Mr. Moore more often, he is such a great characer and it seems he loves being on the show with you guys Personal request! Please do a show with X-Force, Gambit or X-23 (anything but the Uncanny X-Force pre-Marvel now) Maybe necrosha or second coming i dont remember well but one those archs had a killer team with Deapool, X-23, wolverine, cable and Domino which for me has been the geratest X-Force line up
Been watching for ever and I just wanna thank you guy for providing us with these videos. They keep me up to date on comics and I love your guys commentary and style of comedy. Thank you for my favorite channel on TH-cam (and I really mean it) and for putting in your time to do this. Love you guys!
Nice use of breaking the 4th wall to advance the story and I have to give props to any video that casually makes a Camus/Nietzsche ref and it is the revelation of what he knows that kills Xavier and taskmaster who gets a dose after mimicking deadpool causes him to think like him
I think it would have been cool if he got every psychic in the marvel universe to read his mind and see that they are just fictional characters and then they share it with the rest of the marvel universe, so by the time deadpool gets there, they're like "I know, you were right and how do we fix this?" that would have been a mind blowing moment to see the marvel universe team up and say to us "hey, we're done being fucked around with. peace." and then they just shut it down.
I'm gonna be that guy lol and point out that Puppet Master couldn't make a voodoo doll of Galactus because every race of the universe see Galactus differently so he would have to make a ton of voodoo dolls =D
Who's your favorite super hero and what's your favorite comic of all time? Do you prefer miller or Moore? You guys are great!!!!! Easily the best youtubers out there!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Hey guys I love your work and everything you do and I like this episode of back issues and I was wondering can you please do punch it kills the Marvel Universe keep up the good work and thank you
Sal, there's a four-issue 2010 Taskmaster mini by Fred Van Lente that you should absolutely check out. It's both hilarious and heartbreaking. I highly recommend it.
was wondering, how the hell did all the deadpools die in that huge deadpool civil war multiverse thing? cuz I remember that deadpool, who is nigh indestructible, was turned into galactic, who eats planets, and he was killed by lady deadpool crashing a plane into his face, which killed her too. and then every other deadpool gets killed by being stabbed.... yeah, explain that.... please...
I like Taskmaster a lot but to describe him I go Skelator+Moon Knights clothes+Caps shield+ Batmans belt =Taskmaster. Great job again guys. Thanks for all the great work.
Here's a way deadpool could have killed the hulk. Hulk should have just popped up a few times and deadpool couldn't do anything to kill the hulk, so when he comes out of the comic, he erases hulk from marvel comics.
+Lyndon Cunningham. i can see why its kinda pretentious but you gotta look beyond it they go around about way of telling a point but its an excillent story
a guy who copies someone's moveset. she should be a badass...but editorial doesn't seem to want him to be. he shows up in the ultimate spider-man cartoon a lot...but i don't recommend watching the show. maybe just some clips
should have brought up deadpool kills deadpool when saying does he ever kill himself. The book is about original deadpool vs the one from "kills the marvel universe"
Ok. After a weekend of binging Back Issues I have realized that Sal reminds me of Seth Rogan and Ben, ironically, reminds me of Ryan Reynolds (both in speech pattern and in mannerisms). I have yet to figure out who Ethan reminds me of.....
comic pop the movie idea: Three guy's go on an epic quest all from the comfort and safety of there couch sailing the comic book seas dc marvel vertigo.. Did I mention that there couch is haunted plus an alien couch from the future sent back in time to save there ass's from to much wear and tear.. the end.... Or tIS it MeRELy a beginning??????
I really enjoy the high concept/meta stories for whatever reason. (Probably dabs.) Regarding the Ghostrider/Taskmaster parallels, Nick Cage would also make an excellent Taskingmaster. Oh mustn't forget that James Woodsy the Owlman...What a hoot!
Though it seems like the biggest rip off man thing and swamp thing came within 2 months of each other(man thing first) with both being scientists working near swamps that got sabotaged and falling into said swamps, with both marvel and dc denying it was stolen. 30 years before there was a character called the heap that they all knew about but never credited
I hope that Man Thing and Swamp Thing are totally different characters and do different things, because then he would be a more of a rip off than he already is :(
They are very different, swamp thing i think only controls plant life but i know man-thing can sense human emotion. That's why he killed the taskmaster, he sensed his fear and "burned" him. Also man thing came first but it was only a couple months before swamp things appearance.
He gained knowledge of different dimensions when he was in Weapon X getting put to the brink of death over and over, Passing through the doors of perception over and over. He fell in love with Death. Thanos was all jelly. They finally ripped out his heart, thats when his healing factor kicked in. He healed and killed everyone. Now he cant die. Cant be with his love. Hes too popular.
And you know that only makes him cooler. He definitely wont die. He's right to hate us. 20 years of torture, violence and war. Cant be with Death. How long will he take council in his soul, bearing sorrow daily? How long will his enemies triumph over him? Shits depressing.
And if hes conscious of the different dimensions, is he one consciousness throughout? Is he part of a hive mind, spread through the multiverse? Deadpools deep man. He just goes deeper.
just want to say i've really been enjoying y'alls show , i've learned a lot i never knew and remembered the things I've forgotten , you guys always ask for book suggestions , i would love it if yall did Wolverines Weapon X story line, the original one from Marvel Comics Presents Wolverine 72-84 the weapon x arch which concludes in Wolverine 48 and 49 I believe, just a suggestion anyway, i love the story and would like to hear y'alls take on it. Thanks again guys, really love the show !
The editorial pitch for Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe. "Hey guys, I just read this great book by Friedrich Nietzsche."
The original text or the one the Nazis used?
Why kill Taskmaster
"Well cause fuck the Taskmaster"
Earned a sub with that line.
lol Thank you!
“Deadpool kills the MARVEL UNIVERSE” EREBODY’ gonna die!
+It's Over 9000 Productions Metal Men were the first to be aware I believe...even before She-Hulk.
Taskmaster is one of my favorite Marvel Characters. The Van Lente run added a ton to his character. So much depth was added to Taskmaster in that mini series. Dammit, Sal, sittin' there eatin' candy! Did you bring enough to share, young man?
Hell no! ;)
"What's Bun
Done?"
"The Sixth Gun"
I laughed so hard at your poetry, guys.
Deadpool's view of Wolverine is pretty ironic as they pretty much have the same power...popularity (Deadpool much more undeserved at that lol)
The comment " Ghost rider makes a great tattoo " is something I think Deadpool would say....in fact that whole little discussion about Ghost rider would be something Deadpool would say.
It would be fun to read a comic book where Deadpool tries to convince the other superheroes that they are all just comic book characters.
holy fuck Albert Camus reference! nice! though Camus wouldn't have said it was meaningless, he would've been more like, "this shit is absurd so we should find our own meaning or commit suicide" but that's neither here nor there. I just really dig Camus, his fiction works are some of my favorite. Highly recommend Exhile and the Kingdom
Man Thing preceded Swamp Thing by half a year..
Lobo Kills the DCU...So that's a thing, I guess?
I wouldn't be surprised
my theory on deadpool is that he doesn't "know the truth", its that he's insane, and one of his delusions is that he believes he's a comic book character. It's only by sheer coincidence that this is the truth... he'd still believe it even if it wasn't.
wow Man-Thing was first and Swamp-Thing was a rip-off 2-3 months later.......
wow?
David Harrison They were both rip-offs of the Heap.
The guys who created Man-Thing and Swamp Thing were roommates in college. So its less of a rip off and more of a collaboration
Also, Stan Lee has magic powers where he 'created' an idea then about a month or two months later the same idea for DC comes out. I think Stan just had contacts within DC and just took their ideas. I don't think he did it with negative intentions though.

Lol! What's bun done? Bun's done the sixth gun; it rhymes
If DC did someone kills the DC Universe....it'd be cannon
lol
Leo Young it's called Flashpoint or something Crisis
+Luke Roughan Oh. What I mean by that is DC makes everything cannon. Marvel zombies was a spin-off, Blackest Night stuck In the main Universe.
Leo Young in Deadpool kills Deadpool it kinda became canon.
Peter Phantom Right, but I mean like in the main universe, ya know? I totally understand what you mean though.
"you're in the deep end of the deadpool" why did this make me laugh so much? i dont know but it was a good one :D as always you guys made my night
That little back and forth about Man Thing was freaking hilarous
31:55 they could do a really weird "what if" story about this, like: what if Original Sin revealed the "secret" to everyone that they were all in a comic book? lol that would be... unique XD
Theres also Deadpool kills Deadpool. Which is this crazy version of Deadpool trying to kill all of the multiverse of Deadpool, which ends up having 616 Deadpool show up to try and save everyone. Kinda neat.

natas Tho Anytime, Natas!
'How do you get people to go to Murder World?'
Probably the same way you get them to go to 'Battle World'
OMG! I never thought you guys would do this book! I love you guys
I lost it at the teachers convention. I love you guys
Man-Thing came before Swamp-Thing. And the Udon designed Taskmaster is favorite version.
Anyone else think the crack in the wall behind Ben was a piece of hair on your screen?
Cameron Perez I do now!
No one laughs at Murder World after Avengers Arena.
I was expecting someone dressed up as deadpool to come in a "kill" you guys lol
Can you guys do Deadpool kills Deadpool on back issues???
Damn you Ethan for stealing my jigsaw joke
Lol, Bunn has certainly written more Deadpool stuff than Waid. Nice vid though!!
+Martin Aguilar lol Thanks?
"You're in the deep end of the Deadpool"
I want that tattooed on my forehead.
Nice use of breaking the 4th wall to advance the story and I have to give props to any video that casually makes a Camus/Nietzsche ref and it is the revelation of what he knows that kills Xavier and taskmaster who gets a dose after mimicking deadpool causes him to think like him
Now I'll just wait for the Back Issues of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Beats Up the Marvel Universe.
This is great you explaining deadpool to these guys is awesome esspecially 4 years later
I think it would have been cool if he got every psychic in the marvel universe to read his mind and see that they are just fictional characters and then they share it with the rest of the marvel universe, so by the time deadpool gets there, they're like "I know, you were right and how do we fix this?" that would have been a mind blowing moment to see the marvel universe team up and say to us "hey, we're done being fucked around with. peace." and then they just shut it down.
there were moments where certain characters find this out in the story, and their minds can handle it and they go brain dead
that would have been crazy
I thought I read some where that Alan Moore has never left England.
That man thing editing is always funny
Wow, they predict Gwenpool in this episode. A character with no powers who's aware they're in a comic book. :)
I'm gonna be that guy lol and point out that Puppet Master couldn't make a voodoo doll of Galactus because every race of the universe see Galactus differently so he would have to make a ton of voodoo dolls =D
YeahStu who says he hasn't
@@georgebaynard4096 he would need pictures from each race and control them at once or his og form
PANTHOR109 Tha best you don’t know what pictures Deadpool has
@@georgebaynard4096 you dont know that
13:20 editing at it's finest. XD
In 2014 cullen bunn wasn't as known as a deadpool writer but nowadays he writes basically all the deadpool one shots and miniseries.
The deep end of the 'Deadpool'! That is money, Sal! 😆🤣🤣
If Wolverine grows back from a cell. That would mean he won't have adamantium bones.
You should have talked about how he killed Thor
I saw your video in my TH-cam channel I got so exited that I bought again Deadpool Kills... Thank god it was on sale!
Who's your favorite super hero and what's your favorite comic of all time? Do you prefer miller or Moore? You guys are great!!!!! Easily the best youtubers out there!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Semi-interesting side note, the term "gypped" as in "ripped-off" is a slur against Gypsies.
...I'm pretty sure that Bruce Banner can't deliberately shoot himself without being aware that he's shooting himself
Dam, I forgot it was Thursday until this vid came out... Oh wait. Lol, I'm just messing, I think it's nice when it comes out a few hours earlier
Hey guys I love your work and everything you do and I like this episode of back issues and I was wondering can you please do punch it kills the Marvel Universe keep up the good work and thank you
13:38 actually, Man Thing predates Swamp Thing
Good timing on the movie, almost like you are in colabo w/ Marvel Explained!
Sal, there's a four-issue 2010 Taskmaster mini by Fred Van Lente that you should absolutely check out. It's both hilarious and heartbreaking. I highly recommend it.
I loved that mini series. :]

Ma'am, I hate to say it, but I have no idea.
lady nightshade The ship was full of carbonadium weapons. They were all using them.
Lol story gamer
I like Taskmaster a lot but to describe him I go Skelator+Moon Knights clothes+Caps shield+ Batmans belt =Taskmaster. Great job again guys. Thanks for all the great work.
Squirrel Girl kills the Marvel Universe!!!!
No......just no
Marlon Reynolds
Squirrel Girl is killed by the Marvel Universe*
Isn’t the joke that she’s hellishly overpowered and enjoys being underestimated?
Squirrel girl annoys the Marvel Universe
Literally lol'd. I was thinking the same thing as Ethan: Deadpool is just Grover.
"whats bun done? who colin bun? yes bun, whats bun done? the sixth gun."
Here's a way deadpool could have killed the hulk. Hulk should have just popped up a few times and deadpool couldn't do anything to kill the hulk, so when he comes out of the comic, he erases hulk from marvel comics.
Man thing came first
Really enjoying the injustice series atm, would love to see you guys talk about it. Also just saying that your fanbase has reached me in England!
We'll get there, absolutely! Cheers!
"none of my choices have meaning, so I'll just not make decisions" ~ this is the plot to Mr. Nobaby staring jared leto
Wow now that's a hell of a reference 😄 points to you Gryffindor..
+Lyndon Cunningham love mr nobody
+Kyere Nilrem dude I it's an amazing movie but a lot of ppl ignore it smh oh well some ppl loss
+Lyndon Cunningham. i can see why its kinda pretentious but you gotta look beyond it they go around about way of telling a point but its an excillent story
That concept sounds way cooler than I thought it would.
I'm not looking forward to Secret Wars because I've read it already....when it was called Crisis on Infinite Earths.
1:02whats bun done?wrote the sixth gun
Rhymes on point
Who is Task Master? Moon Knight crossed with Red Skull in appearance.
a guy who copies someone's moveset. she should be a badass...but editorial doesn't seem to want him to be. he shows up in the ultimate spider-man cartoon a lot...but i don't recommend watching the show. maybe just some clips
mysticalredbeanie So its a she?
its a dude
mysticalredbeanie You said "she" a lot
my bad
There also the world were a bunch of heroes become cannibals, and there a lot of stories on that universe, staring wolverine, punisher or the avengers
should have brought up deadpool kills deadpool when saying does he ever kill himself. The book is about original deadpool vs the one from "kills the marvel universe"
What's _Bun_ _done_? He wrote The Sixth _Gun_! [...] This book is, forget the _pun_, deadly serious.
Taskmaster as a ghost rider would be fucking amazing. Imagine a ghost rider who can mimic the moves of the other demons in the marvel universe.
Ok. After a weekend of binging Back Issues I have realized that Sal reminds me of Seth Rogan and Ben, ironically, reminds me of Ryan Reynolds (both in speech pattern and in mannerisms). I have yet to figure out who Ethan reminds me of.....

There needs to be a 'Deadpool Torments the Marvel Universe' where he gallivants around the Marvel Universe being just the biggest shitbag ever.
I love Meta, but this one was just too Meta. You never go full Ambush Bug
Deep deadpool ,=deepool
Do you guys think you could do a back issues of Grant Morrison's legendary run of animal man? (it'd be awesome)
my favourite comic of all time!
Now THAT I'd love to see!
Bunn done the sixth gun, deadly serious forgive the pun. Cheeky freestyle at the beginning
It feels like you should've told 'em about "Deadpool Killustrated" and "Deadpool Kills Deadpool" while you where at it. It's more or less a trilogy.
i like killustrated better then this but they are probably some of my favorite comics.
Yeeeessss Alan Moore impression!!!
Bun has done the Six Gun. Rhyming, YAY!
awesome back issues, Ethan the Grover book, Hilarious.i so remember that as a kid.
Manthing who came out at the same time as Swamp Thing....recently had an awesome life action showing on Disney+

Guys!! Do more DC! I am dying to see you go through Identity Crisis or any of the other Crises. Superboy reality punch ftw!!
I've got a huge list of DC titles for our 2015 run. But next week will be a DC book, guaranteed.
TV Little House Comics Great! Cause there's sooo many krazee DC stories I think you could have fun with, lol.
TV Little House Comics
Is that the World War Hulk guarantee :P
b1merio I own WWH now! So it's inevitable... ;)
I second Identity Crisis. Actually really enjoyed that book. o-o
This story is much better if you read the sequels, they are so much fun. You should read the rest in the show.
Ethan at at the 25 and a half minute mark, lol
I hope that Man Thing and Swamp Thing are totally different characters and do different things, because then he would be a more of a rip off than he already is :(
They are very different, swamp thing i think only controls plant life but i know man-thing can sense human emotion. That's why he killed the taskmaster, he sensed his fear and "burned" him. Also man thing came first but it was only a couple months before swamp things appearance.
I know this is an older video but man thing came out the year before swamp thing
He just goes deeper.
poop
is there a story where they make nightcrawler a bad ass assassin?
Actually, I think there's a dark, alternate reality Nightcrawler running around.
I could see nightcrawler being a cool evil guy or something bad ass, but I don't think he really had a good solo story or anything
Can't spell Deadpool without OP...
Good pull for Monster at the End of this Book
just want to say i've really been enjoying y'alls show , i've learned a lot i never knew and remembered the things I've forgotten , you guys always ask for book suggestions , i would love it if yall did Wolverines Weapon X story line, the original one from Marvel Comics Presents Wolverine 72-84 the weapon x arch which concludes in Wolverine 48 and 49 I believe, just a suggestion anyway, i love the story and would like to hear y'alls take on it. Thanks again guys, really love the show !
Good show!
Are you aware of the recent "Deadpool kills Deadpool" series where our Deadpool tries to kill this Deadpool because Deadpool.
its like a fucking stephen king novel
