I'm just here for Shadow of Intent, and I was not disappointed. Fantastic show! All the dudes are incredible musicians, but Ben's vocals are out of this world! haha That whole vocal section in Malediction was fucking savage! And their album Elegy was my favorite album of 2022, just like Melancholy in 2019. 🔥🤘 Also, the Dying Fetus show was amazing as well. Only 3 guys in a band, but such a massive wall of sound.

you do know that arte is not responsible for the mix, right? it's usually the guys on the mixers right there at the concert/festvials who send the audio to the people from arte. The arte crew does not mix anything. Which is also why some bands sound way better than others. And fun fact: bands like Eluveitie always insist to bring their own soundmixer, who neither knows the stage nor the equipment on site. that's why they mostly sound like absolute ass.

From 2013-2015 they were pure angsty hardcore then he started doing his current style in 2016 but didn't perfect it until 2017-2019 but throughout their 10 years there was never a vocalist that sounded like Bryan. So unique he really defines their sound magnificently.

Nobody mention it but the Lond distance calling's gig was awesome for what I can see/listen here (I was not at the festival). I wish I could see them soon !
Eluveitie are so awesome live. So sad i couldn't attend this year to see them, i saw the live at SB2019 which was a blast. I love the combination of every melody available, played on so many different instruments, combined with heavy metal, combined with heavy growls and Fabis beautiful voice. I liked Anna too, but Fabis voice is ways better. And damn... they played Thousendfold live? Oo This was the first song i ever heard from them which made me fall in love with their music instandlly.
The mix for Shadow of Intent's set was perfect. Vocals leading the way, drums slightly higher in the mix than the guitar/bass actually in the back of the line almost behind the backing track sometimes - but it is exactly what their sound needs. Saw them in Toronto last week, they are maybe the best live performance in deathcore right now. Ben is the goat, he's starting to get a noticeable corpsegrinder neck lol.
SOI is by far one of the best live bands in the scene rn. I‘m going to see them next month again and can’t wait. They just keep getting better and better, especially Ben is evolving it’s crazyyy
Epica to play on Wednesday at the festival is a bit strange. The bad part is that Arte don't post all the bands from the supported Festivals. And in the Arte app the shows disappear in about a month.
