I wouldn't really say Ben is the typical shy introvert, he just doesn't waste any time if he has nothing to say about a certain topic but if he is spoken to he has no issues conversating with people. There's plenty of time's where he chimes in during this podcast if he has something to say, he was quieter in the beginning of the show because he seems like the type that unwinds after getting comfortable (from the mid point on he talks alot)...I've also seen him chop it up with plenty of fan's at show's. If you want to see a real introvert then you should check out Dan Watson. That dude has legit anxiety and doesn't speak at all. I talked to him one time at a show and you could tell that it wasn't the type of setting that he was very comfortable in.
@@Remmy0930 I'm Facebook friends with Dan and he has a lot of pics on his account where he scribbles out or hides his face. He hasn't in a while, but they're there.
Saw them live with Cannibal Corpse, Whitechapel, and Revocation. Sounded exactly like the album! Drummer was playing with a smile on his face for the whole 30 minute set. Great group of guys
I had the same experience. Saw them last month and Bryce was absolutely grinning for the whole set. We met him after the show too and he was the nicest guy ever
I’ve never once in my life had the passion or determination to commit to something so ferociously as artists do. Hearing stories of someone being homeless for a decade and then fall on luck, as well as several other variables, and instantly being transported into their dream life is so foreign to me. I joined the military bc I knew I’d basically be babysat all my life. Maybe I’m just lazy, but the idea of being so unwavering in a passion is difficult to fathom.
This is one of the most laid back, comfortable interviews that I've had the pleasure of watching. All of the guys seem super down to earth, and just generally relatable. 10/10
17:40 what an awesome resume he has. Abigail Williams, The Faceless and now Shadow of Intent. 19:10 His background is also incredible. He went through a lot but his passion for music never left him
Hi guys! I'm from India. I was gonna go to bed... but when i got the notification of this when I was gonna turn of my bedroom light, I've forgotten how sleepy I was. Thank you so very much Garza for bringing my favourite band SOI. You are a total badass great guitarist too and a legend to many Garza. And thanx to all the band members for coming in United. SOI *The band that produce their music on their own and made it absofuckingly awesome and successful. *The band that doesn't have the need to use high end gears (which shows it's not the guitar, but how well the guitarist can handle the guitars). *None of them have tattoos/follow this culture that if someone is in a metal band, they have to inked up their skins. And this man Chris Wiseman can write awesome songs after songs for Currents too. Huge respect to him, and of course all the rest three members are really good that I can't find/point out any weakness in all of them. Thanx once again for making and sharing this video 🤍
This podcast needs to be bigger!!! I love it. And tbh we needed a podcast like this for us metal heads. It's rare to see bands like this out there. You'll probably see little clips of them but not like this!!! Thanks for putting up this type of platform!
The CC on my phone said " Cattle Decaf " when Ben was talking about Travis Ryan. It killed me. I just started watching this podcast a month ago and its already one of my favorites! 👍
I got VIP tickets to their recent tour and got to meet the whole band. They were all super nice down to earth guys, makes me so happy to see them succeed now
First time listening to this podcast. Great to hear the "whole" band tell their stories. Literally found these guys in the comment section of a Lorna Shore music video. 😁🤘
Hands down best open discussion/exploratory podcast within the music industry. Backtracking through all episodes now but Garza is coming into his flow and shows how comfortable he is in his world. Great interviews and guests man keep it coming! I would love to see the big bros from Koяn on in the future 🤘🏼
I appreciate that man. I still have a lot to learn but it’s been going good. Korn is in the near future. Maybe sooner than I think haha. Much love brother! -GaЯza
@@cooltechnician not really. It's true that the last album kinda leans towards death metal a bit more, but the deathcore elements are still there, and all their previous albums are deathcore so... Examples of symphonic death metal bands are Septicflesh or Fleshgod Apocalypse. The atmosphere is quite different and the production and songwriting is too. But who gives a shit about genres anyway.
This was one of the most entertaining episodes of a podcast I've watched. These 4 guys all shooting the shit with each other really gives that brotherly bond like Bryce was talking about. Hilarious the whole way through!
So dope seeing you my boy with one of my favorite bands on your podcast! Corona love 🤘🏼 I'm so surprised to hear Chris, Bryce and Andrew say they're huge fans of A7X
The outro of them talking about the page names was hilarious, definitely my favorite band right now. These podcasts are such great insight to the bands can't wait for this year!
I would like you to invite some grindcore bands like The HIRS Collective, Lotus Eater Machine, Vermin Womb, Full of Hell, Frontierer, Pig Destroyer. When you read their lyrics they actually have a lot to tell. It's usually real life stuff they deal with in their songs
Hey buddy. Just discovered your podcast and I’m really into it. The music scene needed something like this. Anyway, I live in the Midwest now, hope all is well with you ! 🤠🤘🏻

Love seeing SOI getting their praise, I remember the few times we hung out, being at currents video shoot at the webster, playing shows with Ben’s old band, etc. Now they’re one of the biggest bands on the planet. Big props
Yes, their new thing Euclid is really sick too, it’s crazy that just like SOI, all the guys he was in IDAT with were just as good. I actually played in a band with Ben’s replacement, Jake, before he joined IDAT
Hey Chris I saw you walk into the regent ordering some food but I was too nervous to say what's up and didnt want to bug. Just wanted say I appreciate the music and the podcast man.🤘🏽
I'm literally playing Halo this very moment because of the lore/story in the first 2 Shadow Of intent albums. Wanted to learn more about where the stories and lyrics came from. Thank you Shadow of Intent for being awesome! I've seen you guys live three times, twice at the Janus live in St. Pete and now recently in Tampa. Can't wait for the next tour for new merch and hopefully new music.
I'm a bit confused about the music industry. A lot of bands say they don't make a penny even touring 24/7 en then I hear Bryce saying he's making money playing drums, not with Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus but with The faceless and SOI?
