It's wild to compare it to concerts or say the trainees are not good enough if they can't do it.
What makes it worse is there was no learning opportunity. Hangul had to keep doing it cause the choreographer didn’t like the way he was doing it but never gave him a note on how to fix it. None of them got constructive feedback or were told what they were doing wrong. It was just so gross!
The money must've been good for the trainers to act this way towards the trainees. Especially Lee Seunggi, on peak time he advocated for the contestants so much they received outfits. and many survival show allum should've known better.
I can understand ur viewpoint and i totally agree with this video 💯 and even with hangyul,LSG had the audacity to say he has 0 charm and he is supposed to be sitting down where he is a a guider and i mean just because u feel he did not fit the image of the song did not mean that hangyul had to be demoted to 1 star like he is better than other contestants and has more experience to disrespect him like that. Also at least despite tha racism around Syo I am at least happy he was promoted from 0 stars to 2 stars. And though I am not in any position to change anyones viepoint on watching the show, i feel that we should at least show those contedtants some support and hopefully as the episodes gets released they will treat them much properly as deserved as its only 2 episodes out so i would not want to boycott this show for that reason as i am hoping that things will get better as many of these contestants are talented and it will be nice to see them debut!!!!!!!❤❤
I personally didn't like how they said "As an idol, when you have a concert you will have to do 30 songs in a row" I've never been to a concert where they did 30 songs in a row with no break. If there were even close to 30 songs, some of those were vocal songs, solo stages, or songs with no choreography. Dancing non-stop 30 times is INSANE
I hate him gas lighting them into thinking they aren't human. He ks basically saying kpop idols are machines and they need to accept it. He never disagreed with what the trainee said, he basically agreed and told them to deal with it. Any kpop idol on this show judging and "guiding" should be embarrassed for representing themselves as machines and not humans. Kpop idols are humans.
jpop and cpop have several blasian idols idg why kpop and is so adamant on staying racist towards anyone w a drop of skin colour thats not just pale white. he sang and dances circles around all the 1 star contestants and they expect us to believe it was from a good place? are idols not already artists too?
That's why I love chinese shows more. They are more international, koreans still look too much physically (If they fit korean standards, pale skin, look foreign but not too much, etc)
The worst part is, for some of the contestants, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but now it may go down the drain. The amount of disappointment I felt toward the guides can't be expressed with words. Like when some of the trainees needed differibulators, they were so unfazed. Watching episode 2 actually hurt because we're all aware of the industry's toxicity and some of that is created by fans (not everyone), but I don't think anyone wanted this to happen.😢💔
Stacy's Yoon is so cruel she is bearly experienced and she's judging contestants like that as if she's perfect maybe her organs are wires and cables and "Didn't you want to be an idol"what a stupid comment....does that means they have to become emotionless human like a robot............this show is so disgusting....it better be cancelled cuz I've have enough of this bs.......this is the first time I'm seeing judges being racist and xenophobic.....they better not bring this rubbish attitude to Africa cuz this one that I'm seeing korean Chinese survival show hmm hmm hmm.....Honestly survival are meant to be fun even though judges tell them their honest opinion it doesn't mean you crash someone's dream like it's nothing...I bet if they had kids and their kids are suffering like this they will brush it off like it's nothing.....what else can I expect from Lee Seunggi acting like his against anti-racism yet his treating trainees like this? so pathetic
Literally felt like I was watching a squid game episode… they literally danced 20 times… everyone who got eliminated danced 20 times nonstop the judges were even saying how intense the choreo was like ??? Wtf my dream should never cost me my mental or physical health. The judge’s reasoning was so dumb too, his response was when you’re on stage you have to dance 30 songs and the crowd is constantly asking for more more more like yeah maybe we should change the industry instead of trying to force these kids to play into an idea that they should be sacrificing their damn health for a few moments of applause.
The entire kpop situation is so bad. If they are brazen enough to air this kind of treatment, just imagine how they treat trainees working in their company. Do they think they are God or something? Just look at the kind of behavior! So harsh.. They are literally trying to sculpt humans into robots who will be working without any emotions. The whole concept is degrading. And Syo performed good...He should have been offered atleast 1 star..He has a lot of potential.... They told other contestants who were good-looking ac to them that they can teach them skills but when it came to Syo ,they downgraded him. Ig the South Korean majority is like that...
Lee Seunggi... I don't even have words. He's demanding something that he, himself, can't do. He's a BALLAD singer. Even The Boyz's Eric said it was an exhausting choreography. I don't even know why the signal songs for survival shows have to be so intense and dificult. They're counting teamwork, vocal and dance ability, yet, with this type of choreography they can't even sing. I'm not only surprised for what Lee Seunggi said, but all the guides that where there, like hello? Hui, Yoon, Daesung... you're idols, you know how difficult this is. More surprised by Hui, he was in Boys Planet, a survival show. Yet they can't say anything against? I undestand Yoon because she's a newer idol, but Hui and Daesung? I don't want to drag them because they didn't said anything, but precisely for that. The choreo is insanely difficult, they're seing how the trainees can't dance anymore. What were they waiting for? For them to collapse and go to the hospital? On the other hand I'm very proud of Sun Yinghao for speaking out loud. They're human, not machines. Say it louder king.
the loop mission was so hard to watch bc they kept zooming on the faces of the trainees who were crying (the majority lol) and how lee seunggi tried to blame syh. its so sad cause there are so many talented trainees that got eliminated only because they didnt have the energy after almost 20 rounds :/
Traine doesn't meant they can be abused this is blatantly abusive harmful.. We should be take responsible to reporting.. As they heartless.. we going to taken this responsibility.. This is inhumane show I ever watched in my lifetime... I cried not because of joy n touched (but I can't endure this kinda abusive show.. This totally harmful abusive) I totally disagree with panel judging.. Wow now I know how toxic mindset try push their narrative to k-pop so this is allowed
Isn't he the same actor who's company didn't pay him for his song for years? Where was his reasoning then? Can HE dance for that long, he is also an idol.
can we agree that this show is literally setting up the debut group to fail bcos of this controversy? like sure, negative publicity is still publicity but controversies don’t make groups popular for their talent but bcos they are controversial and that is not good in long term. I enjoy the first episode but the preview made me stop continuing to watch it. Besides, I also think that we need to start addressing the fact that there are so many survival shows this year. Like literally, there are around 4 survival shows (2 of this is upcoming). I am so over it. It is kinda overwhelming (I know for a fact that over 100 groups are debuting each year and at less than 5% of such only survives but still.....😬)
the thing is: it's literally every survival show. they just don't air it. somw trainees speak up later. like, i-land and i-land 2, gp999, idol school had bad living condition.
i feel so sorry for them, unfortunately the treatment is common in survival shows, the trainee speaking out about it on the show and them airing it like it's no big deal as if viewers should be agreeing with lee seungi is crazy like ???? no ????
i get survival shows juges are meant to be harsh with their feedback, for example yoon getting hate for telling people off for clapping after watching a awful performance at best i say. but lee seunggi giving us the most half arsed excuse of 'you wanted to become an kpop idols' is beyond foul, these boys especially the younger trainees can really sue the show for child abuse and labour expliotation. labour laws for adults and kids exist for a reason and the show quite obviously broke the law, this show made filing a lawsuit much easier becasue its all recorded
im sorry but expecting trainees, of which some are children, to dance for hours without breaks is literal torture wtf like it's just trying to convince these boys that the mistreatment they're getting is normalised in the industry, and it is NOT. the kpop industry is a terrible place, the music is great, the idols and artists and creatives are talented and likeable (usually), but the companies are utterly terrible. but... not this terrible (except for hybe and sm they seem to like overworking their idols)
I disagree with how the show treats the trainees. But I also disagree with your statement on how you will not watch or interact with the show to show your disagreement on how the trainees are treated. We have to remember, the reason we watch these shows, the reason we vote is to support the trainees and their dream and not to support the show producers. Think of what the trainees have had to endure... and then think of why they are still there. Shows like this are known are mistreatment and harsh conditions, Starlight isn't the first but the fact that these young boys still joined shows how desperate they are. Hangyul literally, this is like his 5 survival show and I want to support HIM and that is why I will continue watching the the show.
How do you all think your favorite idols get train? They get treated just like that remember that many have mentioned they used to dance 12 hrs nonstop sometimes without even allowed to drink water so YOU the viewers are the ones to blame for keep watching this horrible shows but i am sad when current idols joined this shows they always become cold and cruel from lisa , twice members, snsd members to now Eunbi
Sorry but you will die from either heart failure or brain hemorrhage if you dance for so long, nonstop and without water . No and you are wrong, idols don't dance for so long cause they have other activities too and I searched about trannie lifestyle, I saw a vlogger actually contact a former 3rd gen idol aka Denise ( Secret number) and ask her schedule and nowhere was there a mention of dancing for 12 hrs

Maybe its scripted still promoting this kind of inhuman behaviour is disgusting Chose talented people then you don't need to make them practice like a dog obviously they need to practice but without resting continuously making them dance and watching them like they're product really bad And a boy try to speak against this inhuman situation but the other boy who try to look cool and upright say "we can do this everyday " you're not doing this alone and just because you can bear this doesn't mean it's right way to do things
I agree about this but saying that they were dancing hours straight is a bit exaggerated, there were around 19-20 rounds and they had to dance to the title song (which is 3 mins & 13 secs), meaning they had to dance for around 1 hour - 1 hour +5 mins with very short breaks only being 30 secs. I'm not defending the show, i agree with almost everything you said. I'm just saying that what you're saying is kind of exagerrated. It's kind of considered as spreading misinformation or false information, and can mislead others. (Sorry if it's a bit rude but yeah)
Wait why don't you show the full clip only cut clips? In further clip one trainee says if I have to be an idol l can do this all day idol do 15 songs on stage nonstop right. This is wrong. fast watch the full episode then say something
God, people are so dishonest. Yeah and you guys watch these shows every single time after complaining about the previous one's. That's surely not enabling these reality shows.
The hard truth is that the real world is hard and the boys signed up for it knowing that this is the intensity of hard work required. There are always and would always be people getting injured on these shows the only thing is that this show sort to give them the needed medical attention instead of first aid. The people spreading this false narrative only want to ruin this show and chances of the boys in favour of the other survival shows. Also a number of the boys needed extra training as seen in their lacking auditions, some could sing and not dance etc

I personally didn't like how they said "As an idol, when you have a concert you will have to do 30 songs in a row"
I've never been to a concert where they did 30 songs in a row with no break.
Starlight boys traumatized me. That first mission was painful to watch
Stacy's Yoon is so cruel she is bearly experienced and she's judging contestants like that as if she's perfect maybe her organs are wires and cables and "Didn't you want to be an idol"what a stupid comment....does that means they have to become emotionless human like a robot............this show is so disgusting....it better be cancelled cuz I've have enough of this bs.......this is the first time I'm seeing judges being racist and xenophobic.....they better not bring this rubbish attitude to Africa cuz this one that I'm seeing korean Chinese survival show hmm hmm hmm.....Honestly survival are meant to be fun even though judges tell them their honest opinion it doesn't mean you crash someone's dream like it's nothing...I bet if they had kids and their kids are suffering like this they will brush it off like it's nothing.....what else can I expect from Lee Seunggi acting like his against anti-racism yet his treating trainees like this? so pathetic
1:31 he immediately gained respect. It takes huge amount of courage to speak up in this situtation.
I skip anything the judges or mentors say, seeing their faces piss me off.. I just watch the boy’s performances.
What happened was fucked up but I'm still gonna watch to back my boy Hangul!
the loop mission was so hard to watch bc they kept zooming on the faces of the trainees who were crying (the majority lol) and how lee seunggi tried to blame syh. its so sad cause there are so many talented trainees that got eliminated only because they didnt have the energy after almost 20 rounds :/
Wow now I know how toxic mindset try push their narrative to k-pop so this is allowed
i used to not care about lee seunggi, but i dont like him now. what's up with normalizing abuse?
you know what? some of the trainees had to go to the hospital after this.
I feel bad that Eric was a judge here
He wasn't
He is only a dance guide
@@dipakumari1722 Oh
Isn't he the same actor who's company didn't pay him for his song for years? Where was his reasoning then? Can HE dance for that long, he is also an idol.
completely agree with the video, but the ai voice stopping at the end of every line break is so so so hard to listen to
can we agree that this show is literally setting up the debut group to fail bcos of this controversy? like sure, negative publicity is still publicity but controversies don’t make groups popular for their talent but bcos they are controversial and that is not good in long term. I enjoy the first episode but the preview made me stop continuing to watch it.
Besides, I also think that we need to start addressing the fact that there are so many survival shows this year. Like literally, there are around 4 survival shows (2 of this is upcoming). I am so over it. It is kinda overwhelming (I know for a fact that over 100 groups are debuting each year and at less than 5% of such only survives but still.....😬)
That’s what I was thinking settling them up to fail for real 👀
the thing is: it's literally every survival show. they just don't air it. somw trainees speak up later. like, i-land and i-land 2, gp999, idol school had bad living condition.
lee seunggi of all people should NOT be talking about becoming a kpop idol cause ik too damn well he aint holding a note while dancing
Maybe nextime they gonna be like survivor show like royal battle
i feel so sorry for them, unfortunately the treatment is common in survival shows, the trainee speaking out about it on the show and them airing it like it's no big deal as if viewers should be agreeing with lee seungi is crazy like ???? no ????
my friend thinks that this is finna turn into the next i-land (enhypen) ......
Lets watch project 7 instead..😃
i get survival shows juges are meant to be harsh with their feedback, for example yoon getting hate for telling people off for clapping after watching a awful performance at best i say. but lee seunggi giving us the most half arsed excuse of 'you wanted to become an kpop idols' is beyond foul, these boys especially the younger trainees can really sue the show for child abuse and labour expliotation. labour laws for adults and kids exist for a reason and the show quite obviously broke the law, this show made filing a lawsuit much easier becasue its all recorded
I get both sides of the argument about the show.
im sorry but expecting trainees, of which some are children, to dance for hours without breaks is literal torture wtf
like it's just trying to convince these boys that the mistreatment they're getting is normalised in the industry, and it is NOT. the kpop industry is a terrible place, the music is great, the idols and artists and creatives are talented and likeable (usually), but the companies are utterly terrible. but... not this terrible (except for hybe and sm they seem to like overworking their idols)
And I would ask others to continue supporting their picks as well.
It is why some kpop suicides from stressing
4:11 NO SENSE
YES SPEAK IT LOUDER For the people in the back
How do you all think your favorite idols get train? They get treated just like that remember that many have mentioned they used to dance 12 hrs nonstop sometimes without even allowed to drink water so YOU the viewers are the ones to blame for keep watching this horrible shows but i am sad when current idols joined this shows they always become cold and cruel from lisa , twice members, snsd members to now Eunbi
Sorry but you will die from either heart failure or brain hemorrhage if you dance for so long, nonstop and without water . No and you are wrong, idols don't dance for so long cause they have other activities too and I searched about trannie lifestyle, I saw a vlogger actually contact a former 3rd gen idol aka Denise ( Secret number) and ask her schedule and nowhere was there a mention of dancing for 12 hrs
tteokgyu, Starlight Boys, needs your voice & comments. Pls don't stop with your reviews because it needs to be HEARD!!! Change & Awareness can only be made, if you EXPRESS it! You did a GREAT job with your YT video!!! Pls continue to do your reviews good or bad!! CHANGE starts with you!!! FYI, I put comments on IQ one that was not posted calling out the BIGOTRY in the first show! I also said ,I'm done with this show. However, I realized that this show needs all the comments & reviews to help improve the quality for the Idols.
anyways! watch project 7 😛 screw starlight boys i hate it 😭😭
ALSO WATCH SCOOL!!
@@dk-tw3xx I also watch SCOOL! so underrated and the trainees are all so talented
anyways... i'm waiting for ep. 3
This is inhuman I will say honestly
I'll still watch the show.
okay?😅
Maybe its scripted still promoting this kind of inhuman behaviour is disgusting
Chose talented people then you don't need to make them practice like a dog obviously they need to practice but without resting continuously making them dance and watching them like they're product really bad
And a boy try to speak against this inhuman situation but the other boy who try to look cool and upright say "we can do this everyday " you're not doing this alone and just because you can bear this doesn't mean it's right way to do things
It’s still wrooong 😑
Tell me what sort of "training" is performing the same song over and over and over again with no breaks?
@@kpoppy9635 i mean you don't know what's happens behind the cameras.... Maybe this reality show is doing what every company do behind the camera while choosing their trainees to debute
@zakiatasnimtithi99 Exactly, only they were open about it and wanted to show off the hardwork of their trainees and instead of praising the trainees for their hardworking some people are taking advantage of it to ruin their chances of a successful debut by badmouthing it. I mean they could have chose not to air it bit they aired it with the aim of showing the trainees are working hard and need support
Yes, but you would expect more sympathy from lee seunggi since he himself have been through inhumane treatment for 18 years. So of all people, he should've been more understanding. Or maybe some of korean judges are harder on them because many of them are chinese and korean generally don't like chinese.
@@ynessrjesuslovesyou2813 i give a big thumbs up to them... This reality show seems much more real than other survival shows... It will boost their publicity more!
This is inhuman I will say honestly
