I think a lot of idols have this mentality of, if I had to struggle, so do you. Maybe they resent the people who broke them down, so they take it out on aspiring idols to feel justified or to get revenge. If not that, then it's the years of being a trainee which demanded absolute obedience that turned them into passive bystanders.

2:30 there is a reason why athletes have a preseason and training in between games to ensure their fitness levels are at the top. Idols don't just sit all day for months doing nothing before a concert. They definitely get diet changes and gym routines to ensure they dont get injured while traveling and performing nonstop for a tour/concert.

As someone who’s watched a lot of survivals shows, you realize that there’s a level of unfairness in these shows. Yet, after watching the show to see what’s real and what’s internet hearsay, Starlight Boys displays so many issues. The Judges are oddly strict and sometimes rude (especially, Lee Seung Gi and Daesung). Just so many rude comments. Moreover, there’s also this subtle discrimination between the foreign and Korean contestants (it’s so off putting). I haven't watched the show, but I don't really understand how the judges are being blamed for everything? Like they aren't responsible for the unrealistic and demanding tasks given to the contestants, right?
They are probably people who, just like the contestants themselves, are just a tool for the executives in order to create attention and drama. I would imagine they are under strict contracts, that prohibit them from really speaking out about it.
I guess some of them could and should have acted more empathetic towards the contestants, who were facing harsh conditions, but let's not just blame these people for everything and forget about the people with actual power pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I’m not a fan of the judges, and while I understand the attendees and fans voting; it gives no credibility to talent. Mentoring is teaching and leadership to improve the trainees. These mentors have failed to mentor. What has sit ups to do with picking songs, or randomly drawing names as leaders got to do with leadership? The entire program seems to be dead set against the most talented. Humiliating the talented is not the way to build a group fans will follow.

I think it’s time for some of you to re-evaluate whether you are comfortable consuming music from the K-Pop industry. The training system has always been brutal, long before your favourite artists even debuted. I’m willing to bet that most (if not all) of your favourite idols have gone through the same (if not worse)training conditions just to debut. Also, I think that a lot of these survival shows are pre-scripted and pre-planned so I can’t even say for sure that the judges have much say in the direction it goes; I think they are most likely just puppets alongside the contestants for the production team. Remember, reality TV isn’t always real.

All in all- the overall blame is in the mentality and self indoctrinated conditioning in those countries. They are raised being taught that to earn a living you have to take suffering for it to the extremes. The risk it all endurance type mentally that’s only self destructive by nature. In East Asia theres an IMMENSE workaholic mentality encouraged and I completely see why the judges even though, being idols themselves, said what they said and did what they did. It’s all they know- it’s societal Stockholm syndrome.

I watched survival show prom produce 101, they just need to record the dance performance then the mentor evaluate them from with dance video. No need to dance over and over again.
I mean did the mentor can't evaluate them correctly?? Why do they have to dance so many times??

MY REACTION LOOKED THIS REALITY SHOW:
1.Trainees doesn't meant they can be abused
    (this is blatantly abusive harmful..)
    2. This reality proof is inhumane show I ever watched in my lifetime... I cried not because of joy n touched (but I can't endure this kinda abusive show.. This totally harmful, toxic and abusive).
    3. This is pure cow cash circus kinda reality show treating all contestants inhumane. (They're young have ambitions but faces this kinda abusive show for globally entire world can see they're suffering). Would you be silent see that's is your son, brother, family be treating liked that.
    4. See they exhausted, tired, can't catch a breath after repeating routines dancing back to back. They could face health problems. Are they going to stop until someone died. (That to late)
    5. I totally disagree with panel judging.. (Wow now I know how toxic mindset try push their narrative to k-pop so this is allowed)
    6. Biased given score just by their looks (contestants face) not by their talent.
    OUR RESPONSIBILITY :
    1. We should be take responsible to REPORTING this TH-cam Channel .. (As they heartless.. we going to taken this responsibility..)
    2. We should put stop to this kinda abusive show.
    3. Are you (we) going to seat quite and be silent?!! Let's them get away just for reality show sake narrative. This is 2024 for God's sake. Our voices should be heard

OMG, the Grammy nominations were just revealed and I am literally shocked. First, Ariana was not nominated in any of the big categories, then Sabrina was nominated for album of the year as well as Charli XCX which is a joke to me (Sabrina has three popular songs from this album, nothing else is relevant, new, or pushing boundaries; Charli's album is not as big as the concept itself, like people know about Brat and the concept but nothing about the songs), then RM was not nominated for the alternative music category which is not fair to me since Eminem was nominated but his album is not that good, then Taylor was nominated for everything. I AM DONE WITH THE GRAMMYS. IT IS A JOKE TO THE ARTISTS.

first of all, this has nothing to do with the topic of this video and i find it puzzling that you would talk about this when it's not the topic of discussion. second of all, i disagree with your opinion on charli xcx. BRAT is the album of the year (even chappell roan's album comes close imo) and nobody can change my mind otherwise. she had many bops from that album that were used in trends and hype, like 360, 365, von dutch, apple, guess etc. i believe that the album itself is well-known in BOTH concept and music. the album was well received with the public and has a deluxe version, aswell as a remix album where one song was with ariana. as an ari fan, i think you should be supporting her rather than slandering other artists. while you can have your opinion, i believe that you need to objectively have your facts straight before trying to come for artists you don't even know and don't listen to. xx

it's funny how the idols who pretend to be " super professional mentors " will get second hand embarassement if we show them their trainee days clips , wait , no need to go back to their trainee days, just brings real professional dancers , singers and more than +12years of experience idols to check and evaluate their current fancams and i'm sure that we'll find a great amout of criticizm to be said. i'm not saying idols should be perfect, it is okay to keep improving little by little aand imperfections are human but i don't like how they're acting as if they know the game when most of them do not even have the perfect qualities they're talking about. what if we touch some grass and try to support those teenagers who are already facing enough mental issues and help them with what we've got rather than act all cool when we're not even there? i think they're aiming at creating this tragedy of a group who faced a lot to debut because fans we'll have enough tiktok content to create about their bias breakdown in his pre-debut era. i'm speechless truly..

Where do you get this from? No human can dance for 12 hrs nonstop without water. You are literally trying to say that start dancing at lets say 7:00 am and finish 7:00 pm. That's not possible especially without water.
      1. Trannies have many classes other than dance aka singing, production, language, modelling and they also have to attend school.
      2. Non stop training without water only lasts for 30 sec max, literally after 30 sec the human body starts grasping for air and water and the body is a bit tired . You will have a heart attack or a brain hemorrhage when you go past 2 hrs without rest or water. Even soldiers aren't trained like this

please do not spread misinformation about yoon. there is one clip taken out of context about her asking trainees why they were clapping which everyone is using as an opportunity to send her death threats and hate. that comment in itself isnt even remotely bad enough to warrant such hate. but if you watch the full clip the performance was terrible and some of the trainees were clapping sarcastically and thats why yoon asked them why they are clapping. literally every other clip of her has been her being encouraging or giving valid criticism which is her job as a mentor.
its the producers fault for creating such a horrible show and most of the mentors are probably in contracts that prevent them from stepping in. especially yoon is a female idol, the youngest mentor in the show and comes from a small company, and anything she might say against the producers wishes will damage her own reputation.
i dont know much about lee seunggi so i wont go as far as defending him. if the show is not scripted, what he said clearly isnt right but there is so much misogyny in the kpop fandom that yoon is getting so much hate over one line but ive barely seen anyone talk about this man's actions
we dont know how much of the show is scripted so the best way to stop giving producers chances to make such shows is to stop watching and not bring attention to these shows.

What kind of values do you think Koreans have about men?,, I'll tell you,,, a weak guy is looked down on in Korea,,,
You here don't know Koreans at all,,,, the process of making K-pop and its characteristics are Koreans themselves,,,
K-pop is a fiercely competitive industry and not a playground for children,,,
Most Korean men have served in the military for dozens of months, and they have to go through a more difficult process than the training that K-pop male idols usually go through. ,,,
Listen to me carefully,,,, to a Korean man like me, that just looks like playing,,, do you get it?,,,,
The training system of K-pop is almost similar to the training of soldiers in the military,,, and you can understand it as a product of military culture,,, The military is actually the most efficient group,,,
The Korean spirit and the social structure of Korea itself were greatly influenced by the military, and as a result, K-pop has become so successful worldwide,,, You should thank the Korean military.

In fact, this kind of incident is familiar to Koreans, and they try to tolerate it to some extent. If you find this incident unpleasant, you should stop consuming K-pop. Because K-pop was created through this process. So if you are conscientious, you should reject K-pop and stay away from it. This is the only solution. However, most Koreans will think that this is nothing.

I don't see what the guiders have done to deserve all these hate comments, they are simply going according to a written script. Don't you think?
I'm not trying to be unsympathetic here, but if the trainees can't handle what they are facing here, how do you expect them to cope in the real K-pop world?. Have you forgotten what the K-pop world is like? I think you guys should just rest and try seeing beyond the black and white your angeris making you see.
