I assume the engineers have tried 200mm spring droppers and they didn't work so well. Hence the 63mm spring dropper from DT Swiss.
They don't need to be that big and heavy anyway. Why do you keep reffering to the dropper lenght? I don't get your point.
So the post is just like original Gravity Dropper?
I agree about tan wall tyres not being right for some bikes. I mean white wall tyres look great on a Cadillac but you wouldn't put them on a monster truck or a Ferrari
#GMBNTech I have a 2014 Specialized Epic and wondered if the brain can be replaced for a normal rear shock as I think it might not be working correctly, bought the bike off a friend so not even sure if it's ever been serviced.
Seen this question on MTBR before. There are companies that make custom shocks to fit old Specialized that had Brain tech but it's nothing I've ever tried.
Holy cow, that dropper is 200+g lighter than my current :-O
When did the blur go from a long travel trail bike to an xc
Gone past hardtails eh Doddy, wait till Blake hears about this.
Could some one tell me about the x fusion suspensions are they good or bad etc cus I’ve just bought a gt fury and it’s got a full X FUSION set up
The tan sidewalls remind me of the old panracer smoke and dart combo from the 90's. I am not really a fan but in 2 years they will be out of style anyway.
"Style" is for sheep.
Make your own style.
@@marcalvarez4890 except tan wall was designed with trends in mind..
@@BGraves Everything is designed with trends in mind. No large company lacks a marketing team.
Natural rubber tires preceded black tires. Carbon black was a new invention at some point.
Hi Doddy,
I run a Shimano 12 speed SLX rear cassette and derrallier..the rest is Hope.
I would love to put Hope jockey wheels on but SLX has 13t and Hope do 11/12t.
Could you go with 12t?
I had santa blur C nice on trail
Ahhh saw that Orbea on a certain XC video not that long ago... Doddy sneak peak.
Doddy try not to answer the questions in the video before you ask them mate... Makes it a bit easier...
Been looking at the Orbea Laufey, wondering if it's worth it 🤔
I have both tan and granite.
Also did GMBN do a review or blob on the YT Izzo??
orbea better get ready for 10000 orders lol
They can't meet current demand as it is. I had them cancel a factory custom order on me, and then they cancelled a follow-up standard bike order a few weeks later as they had run out. They did though put me on the waiting list for a 2022 bike.
@@Pesmog LOL
Tan tires all depends on the color of the bike
Tan walls, yea!
Loved the top mod of the dropper post but led me to think I just use my finger, Which then led me to think of the old joke - The Americans spent millions of dollars developing a pen that could be used in space and upside down and on multiple surfaces. The Russians used a pencil.
Hi I need advice from you I have bike trek marlin 5 Large 29 I want to change my fork to 160mm it's ok or not any advice please?thanks
At this point, One of Enduro and DH are obsolete, because enduro is now just a long DH, and one of CX and XC are obsolete. Need to cut down 2 of them
Y does gravel cycle headset has big ring ( bearing ) size then above
IMHO it's too expensive for a seatpost. I will stick with my rigid post.😆
I switched to and xc bike its a trade off. Its is great for long rides easier to get going and such but its less comfortable on steep down hills and I find it harder to get off n away from the bike in wrecks
No, and once you’ve ridden a full suspension bike over a pebble you’ll never go back! 😂
Hardtails make some trails that were perhaps built a number of years ago more fun as it brings back the technical tricky aspect whereas if you ride them on a full sus, the bike just soaks up the entire trail instead and you might as well be road biking! I own both type a and each have there specialties IMO. Also for xc you will want an efficient peddling hence all the hardtails
So glad #gmbn have teamed up with #orbea I have just taken delivery of a 2021 Laufey H10 and I love it..
If memory serves me right, it was John Tomac who was known as ‘the lung’ and Ned Overend was the first unofficial MTB world champion. He was referred to as the old man of MTB as he was some years older than the newbies on the scene in the late 80’s & early 90’s.
#askGMBNTech i accidentally decompressed the IFP on my suntour duair on my voodoo canzo, what pressure is the IFP supposed to be and can i do it myself and what tools/adapter will i need
#GMBNTech doddy, what are your thoughts on sliding Dropouts on Ti frames(example; Moots and Devel project "Firebird" frames)
#askgmbntech I have a 2021 Marin Palisades Trail 3 with 180mm front and 160mm rear 6 bolt Shimano hydraulic brakes. I’m looking to add color to the rotors and upgrade the rotors.
Would like to know which ones to get.
Motorcycles have open bath with cartridge emulators that would work for most daily riders. An alternative to Suntour please!!
Gmbn has been lacking on the xc front, for me it's the most exciting racing and lots of focus on weight and tech 👍
#askGMBNtech doddy, brilliant as always 👌🏼 what's your opinion of using motorcycle chain lube on a MTB ???
Ads are insidious
That Lilac Juliana looks mint , not just for ladies or Gay men , id rock that ...🙌
Is Ned Overend the best name in moutain biking. Anyone got a better mtb name in mind?
