I've just finished building a Doomwheel to where you have it in the video. Kinda wished I didn't put the rats in now. Oh well, live and learn. This video is a great help in planning how I'm gonna paint it.
Very cool miniature. Skaven are certainly iconic to the fantasy range so it would be great if they could leave the legacy pool and move to core in the perhaps somewhat distant future. Love the wood effects and metallics, you always give very clear advice on how to achieve it and with specific paints. The only further step I personally would find helpful would be a list of all the paints used in the project…that could be a pain for you to compile though so no pressure obviously in doing that, I usually try and skip to the appropriate area when watching it back to make note of the paints and the techniques again (i.e. I have a work around to get what I needed)
The paint list thing is something that gets requested often, and I need to sort that really. It’s mostly because of the way I work, I don’t note them down most of the time, so to list them I would often have to watch back my own video, that’s why I show each paint to camera. The other reason is kind of times, often it’s a big list to add to the video description. But I need to find a system to do it.
@@MiniatureRealms it definitely would be awesome to see but I appreciate it would take a fair effort to produce. The only way I could think of that might make it easier would be to set up a google sheet template that would then be fairly quick to copy and paste the recipe for each colour with base and the two layers. It is amazing how many colours you theoretically have to buy for each mini. Obviously if you feel comfortable mixing your own you don’t need to buy anywhere near as many but the trade off is extra time and possibly a little inconsistency between models if different batches
looks awesome! it's a shame that the old world rules for skaven seem to be missing loads of the things that brought them flavour (being able to shoot through your own rats, vermin lords etc. with that being said I'm looking forward to this army, and hope to be able to build one in the future (although I am worried about them getting rid of them in a few years)
Thank you. I agree on those rules, some really fun answers flavourful things no longer there. I still hold a faint hope that we may see some legacy armies return if we ever make it to a second edition of TOW.
Absolutely brilliant - great video
Thank you very much 😊

I feel your pain, those rats are hard to paint in place. Glad you found the video useful, thank you 🙂
Looks amazing. Loving those metallics.
Thank you 🙂
Love this! I have been waiting for someone to do a proper Doomwheel tutorial and this was great!
Thank you very much 😊

Cracking job, wood effect works really well. Wont be drying anything in the sun today tho ( not in Yorkshire anyway!)
Thank you mate, and I hope the weather improves, it’s quite nice here in Gloucestershire.
