I’ll always feel robbed that they didn’t use song originally, it’s such a great song- it’s also really interesting to hear some of the same lyrics as well as what was changed in the other one. My favorite is definitely “who cares if some things are dying” vs “who cares if a few trees are dying”, like he’s definitely more aware of what he’s doing in this song
They also make sure that in How bad can I be the Onceler never actually looks at the damage he's doing. Like, if you focus on the Onceler, you'll notice that he never actually looks at the damage he's causing, almost as if the movie is trying to say that he's completely unaware of the harm he's doing.
The fact that this shit slaps so hard is just a reminder that the lorax would be a MILLION times better as a horror/thriller YA flick. This is so much darker than any of the movie implied- which, lets be honest, the movie is dark as HELL in theory. It's just so covered by the cutsie animation and themes- but songs like this would just bring it to light- that TERRIFYINGLY realistic future.
It’s incredibly easy for us to abuse renewable resources and create an economic crisis. It is genuinely terrifying. I mean, where did all those animals go when they left the forest? What about the Once-ler’s employees? He literally created Thneedville as an independent city-state, so his entire civilisation just collapsed.
This is How Bad Can I be's dad or some shit. A little more mature, darker themes about the failings of capitalism, also rock. It's not "to dark for kids" it's just older, for the parents to go, "shit, this brings me back".

It's around 2:44 where he says *"I like to call it: Pride"* where the Lorax narrows his eyes at The Once-ler, he says the word Pride with such disappointment, shame and disgust while The Once-ler clenches a fist, grits his teeth and glares back as if in shock and disbelief upon hearing the word to describe what he's slowly becoming.

I THINK THAT TOO like they both have different vibes and different emotions like how bad can i be seems so clueless and childlike where this one actually makes sense and gives the "villain vibes" i love both of them sm
Honestly yeah, that would've been great. O'Hare convincing Ted he doesn't need trees with the sweetness of How Bad Can I Be, trying to cozy him up to the idea that the current system is superior and fund his own capitalistic ventures of selling air, knowing himself what he's profiting off of but trying to get Ted to not care. Then Ted decides to go talk to the Onceler and learns the truth from his own lips in the form of Biggering, regaling him with the knowledge that power corrupts and it's nearly led humanity to its downfall. This would work best paired with the original opening song and modus operandi for Ted that you hear in Thneedville, with Ted wanting a tree because he wants to be the first around with a tree and he's more greedy/self-centered instead of doing it for Audrey.

Actually it would have given the film as it was a redeeming quality, but with all the original versions of the songs, the original draft of the movie as a whole would have made a huge difference from what we got.
Id love to see a remake of the 2012 movie with a original material they were going to use, sure as hell would give people a reason to watch it, especially for something lile this.
When he says "I don't wanna hear your crying" You kinda take away that the people singing in the background that those are the people that are crying but the OnceLer shuts them all down. Hell maybe it's the animals that are crying. Also this is the only demo son that doesn't have OnceLer's guitar or fish singing. (And no the stuff with Ted doesn't count)
This is why they didn’t get this song in because it would show the darkness of how these corporations act and that’s why they cut it cuz they didn’t want people to know that this is always happening as we speak a exemple of what real corporate greed means
Honestly, i feel like more people would love this film more if it had a dark tone to it considering that the book is about humanity killing trees but they decided to aim it towards the child demographic while the book wasn't aimed towards children i believe with how dark it is.
Actually, it was. You see, on the back of each Dr Seuss book, you'll notice some are blue (ideal for sharing with your child), green (ideal for children just beginning to read on their own) and last but not least, yellow (ideal for fluent readers, and great fun for practising reading aloud. They also make wonderful bedtime stories for younger children). The Lorax was a yellow book.
I really want this in the Movie but still- The fucking movie narrators thought it was a little bit too real- yeah I understand but still- they could have made it a 11 and over movie- because then I would have liked the Movie more and more - How bad can I be is just too basic for me 😃🖐
sure that's the "reason", in reality illumination didn't want this cuz in their opinion it'll make children scared and not want toys (literally the opposite of the message of the lorax)
The first verse and chorus makes me picture The Once-Ler walking alone in his empty, dilapidated, and decrepit factory after the last truffula tree is cut down and his business went under.
I always thought out of all of the Dr.Seuss movies that got a live action film, the Lorax would definitely have worked well with that if they made the movie have a much darker tone in general. It might have even worked as a mini series. A darker tone and style could have showed off the danger and true darkness of huge corporate expansion in a much more realistic and better way than a bright movie.
In an alternative version of the past.... After he chopped down all the trees in the truffla forest The Once-ler went and found more truffla trees and continues to chop them down, leaving the world overrun with pollution, corruption and pain. The Once-ler slowly becomes consumed with greed, slowly starts biggering and biggering AND BIGGERING his fortune, creates Thneedvill and slowly goes mad with power. The Lorax, however, met a younger version of Granny Norra and now they are fighting against the pure embodiment of greed itself. The Once-ler, the all powerful dictator of not just Thneedvill, but the world.

I think it might've hit too close to home for them lmao
Actually it would have given the film as it was a redeeming quality, but with all the original versions of the songs, the original draft of the movie as a whole would have made a huge difference from what we got.

Id love to see a remake of the 2012 movie with a original material they were going to use, sure as hell would give people a reason to watch it, especially for something lile this.
@@Meeeeyfhh Yup :joe:
this is amazing ✨✨
When he says "I don't wanna hear your crying" You kinda take away that the people singing in the background that those are the people that are crying but the OnceLer shuts them all down. Hell maybe it's the animals that are crying. Also this is the only demo son that doesn't have OnceLer's guitar or fish singing. (And no the stuff with Ted doesn't count)
ok but lower-pitched Danny DeVito is fucking fantastic
OMG YOU DID IT!!! Thank you so much for this!!
With slowed, it makes him more sinister
AND I LOVE IT
5:20 THE BEST PART
way better than hearing some guy with a towel as an invention sing 'A A A A A A A A A A' for 3 minutes
A esto le llamamos "rebajadas" en mi rancho
XD
This is why they didn’t get this song in because it would show the darkness of how these corporations act and that’s why they cut it cuz they didn’t want people to know that this is always happening as we speak a exemple of what real corporate greed means
the lorax would be a much better movie if it was +14
@@3nderfire exactly
This sounds really badass but also pretty sad. :c
Biggering is a badass song 😎👍🏻
Honestly, i feel like more people would love this film more if it had a dark tone to it considering that the book is about humanity killing trees but they decided to aim it towards the child demographic while the book wasn't aimed towards children i believe with how dark it is.
Actually, it was. You see, on the back of each Dr Seuss book, you'll notice some are blue (ideal for sharing with your child), green (ideal for children just beginning to read on their own) and last but not least, yellow (ideal for fluent readers, and great fun for practising reading aloud. They also make wonderful bedtime stories for younger children).
The Lorax was a yellow book.
why do people hate the lorax part? i think it's great
Me too
I love that part too! ❤
Ikr? And he speak facts
THIS IS SO GOOD WHAT
hear me out
how bad can i be jp dub
but slowed
It's just a biggering memory
I really want this in the Movie but still-
The fucking movie narrators thought it was a little bit too real- yeah I understand but still- they could have made it a 11 and over movie- because then I would have liked the Movie more and more -
How bad can I be is just too basic for me 😃🖐
sure that's the "reason", in reality illumination didn't want this cuz in their opinion it'll make children scared and not want toys (literally the opposite of the message of the lorax)
@@doublea8462 I think Illumination weren’t the right ones to make this movie. Anyone else feel the same?
Muchos no les gusta cuando el lorax habla, pero a mi si, ya que se escucha épico también lo que le dice sobre sus pecados uou
Y sobre la realidad que ocurre con once ler y este mundo
Holy fuck this is amazing thank you
The first verse and chorus makes me picture The Once-Ler walking alone in his empty, dilapidated, and decrepit factory after the last truffula tree is cut down and his business went under.
Omg this sounds so epic
Just make the guitar more heavy metal, and boom. Perfect.
I like how the deep voice kind of sounds like what the devil would sound like. (And the lorax sounds like god.)
it's so ironic that they replaced this song with how bad can i be because it was "catchier" and more "exciting." y'know, for more money.
that, and they probably realized that it sounded too much like them lmao
I always thought out of all of the Dr.Seuss movies that got a live action film, the Lorax would definitely have worked well with that if they made the movie have a much darker tone in general. It might have even worked as a mini series. A darker tone and style could have showed off the danger and true darkness of huge corporate expansion in a much more realistic and better way than a bright movie.
This song is a what if dr Seuss made the movie
Oh yeah. This definitely slaps
The Once-ler, the all powerful dictator of not just Thneedvill, but the world.
you know I will do...
original: im daddy
this one: im the daddies
OH MY GOD THIS IS FIRE🔥🔥🔥🔥(also you should see the 1972 lorax the lorax seems like a nice guy in 1972)
This makes this song even darker
my jaw dropped as soon as the lorax started talking
at first i didn't realise, i needed all this stuff
I had a little cottage and that cottage was enough
A place where I could sell my thneeds, but now Ive had a little time to re-assess my needs
And I need a bigger office,
5:10 for some reason I like this part of the song
Same
BIGGERING 🍷🗿
Omg thank u this is awsome!!
We were robbed 😤
bro i just got a almost 3 hour long ad for what seems like an entire movie on Netflix lol
The guitar is absolutely the best thing in the song, tho there are no riffs, it still sound great
4:20 this is the most hype part (usually the one you see in edits)
something is biggering and its not money
What
What
What
What
What
The *SOUL!*
God dam this sounds so good slowed and reverbed
