Great video Matt, brilliant insight into Frazer's mental approach to the game and the way he thinks himself around the course. Would love to see another match with Frazer on the channel in better conditions
Good for you for stepping up once again to put your game on the line in a meaningful way. Particularly in poor conditions. Love the medal play over match play any time.
Some great advice from Fraser. What a top bloke BTW. Tough track and tough conditions. I do think you get to down on yourself Matt . The 3 wood wasn't a bad call with the match situation just badly executed. It happens. You have got it in you Matt 💯. Great watch.
It was a tough ask in those conditions. A really decent player like Fraser was having his share of issues but as he said you have to make sure bogey is the worst score. Don't compound bad shots. The 8 you had Matt, (welcome to my world 😂) was so unlucky but in that wind and the temperature with an errant shot here and there you did well. Fraser, top guy, testament to his repeatable swing. He probably practices every day.
Most TH-cam golfers I watch, you included Matt, play for a score. Fraser played just what was in front of him at the time and let the score take care of itself. I enjoyed watching him play in those tough conditions.
Play to win not to not lose. You were 1 shot up with 13 to go and you were already talking about holding on that's never going to work. Keep up the great work.
Your game is definitely there Matt but you do let yourself down with all the negative thoughts. I'm sure you tell those who take lessons with you to focus on what we can do not what we hope to do. Very early in this round you were telling Frazer that your game would soon fall apart....... and it did. I enjoy your videos but believe you should start listening to your own advice and play the shot you know you can pull off 6 times out of 10 not the one you may nail 3 or 4 times out of 10. Im definitely looking forward to watching your next outing with the next level Pro.
Fraser really accelerates into the ball with his short irons especially, something to take away from this excellent video. Along with all the other nuggets, only be aggressive if you’re fully confident of making the shot another one
I think Fraser hit the spot on the 14th tee. Game management and moreover commitment. You seem a bit defeatist these days Matt but you’re a great golfer. If you can find your mojo you’ll be flying
Your golf is so good on TH-cam, I'll bet you play even better when you're not making content because you're likely more focused on your golf without all the youtube related distractions
As you go go up the levels it’s becoming more obvious you need to concentrate on the golf and not commentary and camera (which is what I enjoy most normally) These guys just seem more focused
Even on 11 no need to take 3 wood 5 iron rely on your short game don’t go searching for birdies play one shot at a time don’t think what could be think what is
Sports psychologist required, you hit the ball well, you know how to plot you way round a golf course, but brain fades are the worst. Your inability to play one shot at a time, without looking back or forward is like a 28 handicap player. Why not try a tour caddie and see if that helps, you are a better player then you present in these videos
"I learned a lot today". OK, great. You've repeatedly said that before. Soooo.....are you ever gonna share what it is that you actually learned? Since you have never actually answered the question for your viewers (us) I guess it's just chatter. Come on Matt, get real with us.
@@Mattfryergolf My point is that you should pass on what YOU learned from the round that will benefit you. Every comment is not necessarily helpful or beneficial or necessary. Will his aiming comments help? Same goes for score predictions(?). Anything else? Even though you are a good teacher, show us that you can be a good student too. Thanks/MG
The way Fraser strikes the ball is next level. Great advice and demonstration of how to plot your way round. Lovely guy too 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Tough conditions for this match Matty, so don't blame yourself too much. Your sense of humor makes this one of my favorite channels.

Really liking the way you've upgraded the content on the channel Matt ! Sponsor deal with Mizuno opened up a lot of doors. 👌🏼

Great video Matt, shout out to Fraser top bloke, hope we see him again on the channel
It was tough out there but Fraser just keeps on going about his business without any drama, it gives the impression of being in control
My favourite bit of advice there was don’t get fancy just aim at the target and hit straight 👍.
Yep sounds so simple but has really helped me that one
Matt as always really enjoyed it and I'm still confident you can win a tournament and qualify for open next year

Felt your frustration Matt! A bad day at the office!
He is unafraid of testing his game against equal or better players. You have to admire this. Good day or bad, he does not hide his game.
Frazer was top class. Felt he was always in control of the ball and what he wanted to do with it.
I fear even Rick would beat you in this form, Matthew.
Love it,going to Pantomine rehearsals soon, will watch this when I'm home
Oh no you won’t! 😂
@blue24563 lol oh yes I will

Who else noticed the middle of the face on frasers driver😂😂😂😂? That's just class
Great vid
Would love you to do WITB with all these guys

Exactly what Bob said!
You've been watching Rick Shiels videos again haven't you ? Still a good video Matt
“The fear of god will be in him” 😂😂😂

Very cold day!
Snow on the 11th.
Fraser is a class act⛳️
With regards to your game management just imagine what you'd tell one of us amateurs to do during an on course lesson.
Yep wise words
The Decade system might help as well to manage the course better
Hi Matt, always enjoy your videos. Perhaps the question has already asked but where can I buy your superb headcovers? Greetings from Ile de Ré
I think it's mostly mental staying focused and game management
Are you still using the pro-sender?
If so - how’s the training/practice going?
Not bad! 😂🤦🏼♂️

Earth, Wind, and Fryer

Anyone any idea what kind of putter grip Frazer is using?
Matt. What GPS Watch ⌚️ do u use ?
Ty
He uses ShotScope

Most vids show players in winter gear. Please show matches in less winter gear. It will make a difference
Where are you located?😊
My advice is give more respect to short putts.
Yep they all count
Even on 11 no need to take 3 wood 5 iron rely on your short game don’t go searching for birdies play one shot at a time don’t think what could be think what is
Limit your expectations, the 7 iron out of the bunker was never the play just get back on the short stuff and rely on an up and down
Matt needs to think slower too many oopsies

It was what Fraser said - about aiming, score predictions. It's all in there just listen to Fraser
