@BNatoAk what I enjoy about it is the mid shot talk getting to know their personality a bit , talking about how they want to play the different shots. Also watching PGA to see however many people tee off for the same hole one after another in stroke play is just really not that entertaining in it's self.
I don't consider this a major, it's different all together and really more competitive than we generally see. While this course is difficult, it's not as difficult as the rating suggests, that my just my opinion
This is infinitely better than other big tournaments you guys have done...all good players, for money, but filmed the same way you do all other videos....not trying to make it some kind of bad TV production, just keep doing it the way you always do it. Up close and personal.

I think it is more appropriate to say currently the 58th ranked player in the world Austin Eckroat. Also, definitely love watching the pros like this, this format far exceeds the PGA Tour or LIV format. The up close looks and the banter is just awesome.

By far the best of the GG productions, which are already the best of TH-cam (along with BBros). Love straight up stroke play, putting it all out and casually sprinkling in pros with the GG boys. I actually find it more fun to watch GG play on the same leveled playing field with the studs, and it by no means diminishes their respective games.
I love this content. 2:35:42 edit: please do more of these as majors. This is probably my favorite type of video. You’re giving mini-tour guys exposure and, in this case, a funding source. The PGA talks a lot about charity, but there are so many guys struggling just to get there and y’all are helping. Bravo. 👏🏼
This was awesome love that garret did pretty good even though he didn’t at the same time but the talent who’s playing with is unreal so gotta give the guy some serious credit for doing good against these pros

Aside from the fact that this was amazing golf and great spirits, what has really stricken me the most, and what one doesn't notice during the live coverages of Tour events, is how calm and level-headed these pros remain (at least to the outside), even when they quadruple or bonker one 50 yds into oblivion or get lip-outs or whatever. That's my takeaway from this. And from now on I'll be watching these guys more, when they are being covered in the media. Thanks a bunch guys.

For anyone wondering, the lines between the green and collars are edging. They edge the outline of the greens every other week during the growing season to help prevent the different type of bermuda grass growing into the dwarfed bermuda grass on the greens. You could really see it on brads first putt

Warm season fairways on high end courses will circle cut fairways to reduce grain patterns from mowing. Luckily I manage bentgrass greens and zoysia fairways, I'm not a fan of bermuda. Hopefully the new ultra dwarf zoysia cultivars will replace bermuda greens in the future.

Ngl first Good Good video I've watched in a bit now. Could be just me, but definitely more enjoyable to watch straight up golf. match play, knockouts, etc. vs the wild wheel of ideals and all that. Need more vids like this for sure
Those were some nasty pins, & some diabolical chipping out of scuffed Bermuda - kudos to those who managed to get around under par. :) p.s. I don't care if they're pro or not, there needed to be a 2 minute training session at the first tee, where Luis lays down a 4ft x 6ft cone mat (fashion something out of a couple of yoga mats with a fecking huge camera symbol painted across it maybe) approximating the camera's field of view, showing where nobody can step for 8 secs after a tee ball has been hit. 2 warnings are allowed, but a 3rd strike means -Luis is allowed to launch at the offender with a machete- disqualification. I mean, no viewer who's become familiar with the concept of being able to actually *see* where the tee balls are going is keen to watch 3hrs+ of blurry footage of people's backs instead of golf shots. Cheers in advance for implementing this for future events. ;)

I played at Pebble in July and Logan was in our group. He wasnt playing but walked along and hung out, his fiance's Dad and brother played with my cousin and I. He was super chill.
I know the chances are slim that Garret will see this, but if you do, Garret, I just wanted to say this is exactly what you need! Like you mentioned, playing the ball down and competing with stronger golfers will really elevate your game. Plus, it will give you a more accurate USGA handicap. The generous drops and conceded putts you do on the GoodGood videos might be holding you back, in my opinion. As a fan from Sweden, I’d also love to see Ludvig Åberg featured on the channel sometime!
You’re being too harsh. The videos where they’re generous with drops and gimmes are normally the challenges, they’re not counting those as rounds for his handicap.

If the rounds where they take drops without hitting provisionals, play the ball up instead of down, and skip proper penalties aren’t counted towards their handicaps, then I apologize for my misunderstanding. However, if those rounds are being excluded, I find it a bit hard to grasp the overall handicaps of the GoodGood members. Either way, I appreciate your input!

Something that was said that really needs to be payed attention to, "I want to go out and learn how to score a good round" That comment is so wise when it comes to sports. You can have all the golf shots in your bag but you still need to learn how to score well.

Great video, GG. Good to show just how good these guys are, even against a +2-3 like G-Rat. And since Garret asked, I’ll give my .02 cents. A BIG difference between a scratch golfer and a Tour Player or top level D1, golf course management and club selection. That 450+ yard par 4 on the back, driver was NOT the play. Downwind, dogleg right, and fairway runs out at 320. Driving iron, hybrid, or fairway wood was the play all day on that hole. Another thing, with G-Rat i see on a regular basis is, trying to max out his 56 and 60 wedges to a middle or back pin, when the play is a knockdown PW or GW. Club selection and/or distance control is his kryptonite at the moment, because he’s been swinging as good as maybe we’ve seen.
Having played with and against a few of these guys, I can confirm they are damn good! National is so so hard and to fire -5 is a hell of a round out there.

Great video, GG. Good to show just how good these guys are, even against a +2-3 like G-Rat. And since Garret asked, I’ll give my .02 cents. A BIG difference between a scratch golfer and a Tour Player or top level D1, golf course management and club selection. That 450+ yard par 4 on the back, driver was NOT the play. Downwind, dogleg right, and fairway runs out at 320. Driving iron, hybrid, or fairway wood was the play all day on that hole. Another thing, with G-Rat i see on a regular basis is, trying to max out his 56 and 60 wedges to a middle or back pin, when the play is a knockdown PW or GW. Club selection and/or distance control is his kryptonite at the moment, because he’s been swinging as good as maybe we’ve seen.
Having played with and against a few of these guys, I can confirm they are damn good! National is so so hard and to fire -5 is a hell of a round out there.
