7:10 i believe the ability is trying to show his military abilities of summoning troops and having the strategy skills. because of his new devotion to Purphoros, Anax would have satyrs as troops due to their devotion and affiliation with Purphoros as well.
no doubt Mogis would pick a Minotaur for his demigod. since there's no Legendary Minotaur from Theros, we have no story to pick from but i'm guessing considering Mogis' ideals and place in the pantheon he would take either the most vicious Minotaur in history or one that has killed someone or something so beloved and heroic that it was considered a monster for all time. as for the card mechanics themselves, i'm seeing a hasty Rakdos colored creature with 4-or-less toughness and power equal to your devotion to black and red. maybe trample and/or menace to go with the haste. something that hits the board and instantly applies pressure and well, slaughters the enemy. all things considered i'd see it at a 4 or 5 cmc, a finisher style card for aggressive creature based Rakdos decks. something something, Champion/Maker of Massacres for a name sounds neat.
i'd also see maybe an activated ability where you pay red and black, sacrifice a creature, and it deals 1 damage or 2 damage to each creature. Works great in a deaths matter deck which I think definetely applies to the lore and ideaology of Mogis

Erebos transformer Tymaret in to a Returned and sent him back to the mortal plane to hunt down Phenax, but since Phenax was masked and hidden Tymaret went around slaughtering everyone with his legion of Returned. When Phenax rose to a god, Tymaret was left to serve Erebos and war against the mortal cities.
I mean, we could take it the easy way. Most gods already have an oracle or some important/worthy mortal to make into demigods : -Athreos : Ravos -Iroas : Kalemne -Karametra : Anthousa -Keranos : Cymede, if he decides to make here leave Nyx -Kruphix : Kydele -Mogis : a big smart minotaur similar to Rhordon the rageblood -Pharika : Hythonia That does not mean that the obvious choices are the right ones. For example, we have very few backstory on Hythonia, so maybe she is not even linked to Pharika. We know the story of Ravos, yet we don't know what happened to him during Theros beyond death. We don't even know when the story takes place, since at least three demigods were dead or Returned (Callaphe was dead), maybe Anax died as well, maybe Anthousa too, maybe that's a condition for someone to become a demigod. The only ones that don't have an obvious choice are Ephara and Phenax. I could see Phenax have his champion be hidden and secret, perhaps even blessing the champion of another god so he can betray him later. I'm also very upset that we don't even know why Athreos was in the set. We have so few informations on him, it's very hard to make theories about him and many other characters.
Maybe Athreos is involved because he doesn't want Heliod or Erebos to use the chaos to impose a new order to Life and Death? Maybe he's mad that Erebos endorses a returned? Maybe he wants to use the chaos to have the 8 get captured and sent to him? Or to find the 5 tokens? There's a lot of reasons he could be involved

It’s hard to say as we don’t have loads of information. Some PWs have been back to innistrad. Chandra chasing Tibalt for one. But it doesn’t give a great glimpse of the Plane

Personally, Erebus is my favorite amongst the Gods because he’s probably the most intriguing given his domain of the underworld paralleling Hades. Like Hades, he’s not the most ideal god but he’s one of the better choices compared to the others (namely Zeus and Heliod respectively). Plus he’s the god corresponding to my favorite of the Magic colors and I really like his style and look. Can’t wait for Mythic Odysseses of Theros.
should caliphe be a commander in a set dedicated to that. she could start in the library instead of the command zone. anytime you search your deck you can pay to summon her, should she enter the battlefield from the deck you can search your library for a nonbasic land, reveal it and place it in your hand. shuffle your library. maybe landfall scry 2.

I would say Moraug for Mogis as a demigod. And for Phenax, I would choose a thief or some kind of person/ creature that would be deceiving others. They would have a low power and high toughness like a 2/6, and maybe a ability like flash. The card would have a ETB trigger that could kill someone or return a card to someone’s hand.

Erebos gave a Quest to Tymeret, kill all those who escaped him. In fact his quest is to kill Phenax. Which he does by slaughtering anyone who prays to the escaped god.

The author of this mentions "huge missed opportunities" in this video in regards to elspeth and daxos and yet, coming back to Magic after a couple years of being away that's all I see is one "huge missed opportunity" after another as if that's all wizards aims to do anymore, they don't care about product quality any more, just separating us from our money.

I would say Phenax should Hythonia as his champion in a future set. Her ability to kill creatures seems like it would help Erebos but if she killed those creatures in devotion of Phenax then that could weaken Erebos. Hythonia, Demigod of New Death? Mayne

In 2+ years i think. We won't get another print of Ashiok so soon after the current one. Pretty disappointing really.

Basically all we know about Inninstrad post ELdritch moon is that it thrives and Tibalt is there.
I think kruphix wouldnt have a demi god because he is the oldest and wisest of the gods and would know to stay out of the war

Hythonia the Cruel (set - Theros) for Pharika. Maybe Anthousa, Setessan Hero (set - Theros)for Karametra.
Now seeing this video I think, we will have a Return to Return to Theros
It's a shame we hear heliod send servants to start a war but very rare direct indications to that in the cards
I think for phenax it's ashiok his champion (phenax gave him a shroud to be invisible by other gods ) what do you Think?
