I’m grateful that views like this exist in our world! And that you shared it with us. The colors of the water are so beautiful I don’t even have words. My family vacationed on St. John oh my goodness 25 years ago. It was glorious! Enjoy every moment!
Good morning Kaetlyn, thank you. Now that we are back home to the fog and the gray sky and ocean the memories of the colors sights and smells are sustaining me!!! So glad you experienced St John it is a special place!!!
What a beautiful setting. You looked just glowing. Your new dress is beautiful as is your knitted skirt - it is very elegant. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. 🤗
The view of the sea, the colours are truly calming and incredible! The seas and oceans here are more green and silvery grey. Mesmerising in a different way. The skirt looks lovely. Looking forward to your pics wearing it. Have a great vacation
What inspiration you had to bring the blue color way cone of yarn. The colors of your belt and bag blend perfectly with the sea. More blue and green memories for you.
Thank you for giving us a glimpse of your island getaway. I hope you had a Happy Birthday and a warm relaxing getaway. I love your projects and think I’ll make the girlfriend’s market bag.
Hi Diane! I’ve binge watched all your episodes this week and have so enjoyed all your beautiful knits and your lovely Mom. We vacation in Rhode Island every year and love to take the ferry over to Block Island for a day trip while we’re there. My husband and I went to St John for our 25th wedding anniversary, so this episode was an extra treat to watch. Thank you for sharing with all of us!❤
Good morning Lynn, sounds like we have a lot in common!!! I assume you’re a knitter as well? I’m hoping to video a new episode this weekend. I’m back on the island and it’s a gorgeous spring day. Are you still in New England? Thanks for watching my channel! ❤️🧶🌸
@@theislandlamb Oh yes, I have been knitting since I was around 12. We live in Upstate New York about 2 miles from the Vermont border. If we get to Block Island this year I’m going to try to go to Northlight Fibers. I didn’t realize they had a retail shop. I love your LYS The Mermaid’s Purl. We always make sure to stop in there when we’re in RI.🧶
Beautiful episode! Such a joy to soak in those vibrant, inspiring ocean blues. Simple abundance. Also inspired to knit something to wear in the summer. But first I need to finish this trip into Sirdar pattern archive. Who knew?!
Beautiful - as usual. Your dress is gorgeous too. Well done for finding out about the knitting patterns. Your holiday view looks stunning and you are so right about the colours. Hope you have had a super birthday and holiday. See you soon x
Loved this episode. Beautiful views and Ty colors! Wow. Patina has another handbag that is similar to yours and they direct you to it if you go to the page with your bag. It’s called “cabled bag” and it’s also free. Very similar to yours. Just as cute!
What a lovely vlog. It gave me such a lift this cold morning with snow forecast later in the day! I too am a green/ blue green/ teal lover. Just after your last vlog I started my first half and half triangle wrap and it’s been the perfect go to knit to to see out these final cold days and hopefully into some warmer weather. Looking forward to your next vlog. 💁♀️🇨🇦
@@theislandlamb thank you!!! I am going to make that skirt in the yarn you used and make a shift with cap sleeves in lightweight fabric to wear under it
I know, what happened?! I still wear camisoles under sheer blouses and rustic knits. Maybe be spanx phenomenon away with slips. I’m going to see if my mom has one otherwise I’ll make one.
Hi there, I heard back from Patons and I’m free to give out the pattern. So, I just need to figure out the best way to get it to you. I can scan the pattern. Let me know what you think and how you’d like to get it sent to you.
Ditto: I am grateful for you and the “treat” you give us by sharing your life and knits

Can you tell us how many skeins of yarn you used for the skirt
Hi there, I used Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy. 153yds per skein and I used 4 1/2 skeins and I made it a little longer and used a size us 4 needle.
@@theislandlamb thank you!!! I am going to make that skirt in the yarn you used and make a shift with cap sleeves in lightweight fabric to wear under it
Wearing slips….whatever happened to that? Why did it go away?

I found the cabled bag pattern, but when I try to include here, comment is removed. Will try to send to you on Instagram.
