I started crocheting because I wanted to make a few hanging plants. I started by following a tutorial for cleansing pads and made the hanging plants my second project. It was challenging but I managed and they ended up turning out stunning! I have since made three and a bunch of other items (baskets, pillows) and definitely recommend plants as one of the first projects to make (if you are really keen on making them!!) :))

the flower coasters are my favorite!! i doubled up the yarn and made trivets for people. i want to double up fuzzy chunky yarn and use that pattern to make a pillow. you can also make the flowers and stitch them onto a plain sweater or tote bag to make it cute and fun

When I was a beginner and looking back now I would be like "that pattern looks hard" or "that pattern looks super easy" and normally, I was right. Then my grandma told me if you think it's hard, it's hard. So think everything is easy so you can try it. Hope this helps all beginners ❤
I made the mesh heart tank top and it was my 8th project I believe And it’s super good for beginners the girl who did the tut was so clear and made it super easy I finished it in maybe 3 or 4 hours and I’d say it’s super beginner friendly
Your lacy choker was cute. You should try a bit of bead crochet and make them with some sparkly beads scattered in the design or maybe a sequin yarn, but that may be too scratchy. I was just thinking something that would catch the light here and there.

Another project idea is bandanas; they’re easy, quick, and there are lots of different styles like granny square or linen/moss stitch (which is also super easy to learn)

YES it’s very “hold it up to your body and add chains until it fits” type of tutorial !! There aren’t strict stitch counts to follow it is very easy to mold to fit however you want!
When you're saying "hour or two" I want to cry cause I am SUPER, and I mean SUPER, slow 😭😭 I crochet for more than 3yrs now but in hour I'll do maybe few rows? Even the earing wall hanger that is just a square gonna take me FEW days 😭😭😭 That's one of main reasons why I am quitting crocheting.

another nice one would be a top where u just make 2 cups and a band, and add some chains on top of each cup to tie around your neck :)

For anyone struggling with straight sides of a rectangle f.ex. don’t skip the first stitch!:)
I suggest adding a stitch marker to your first stitch so you know not to skip it!
