Love this fabric line!!! I may have to break my no purchasing any more fabric rule for this one ....her fabrics are just so beautiful and timeless. And yeah for you in getting those gorgeous coasters! Perfect for your studio! Thanks for a very fun and uplifting unboxing!📦
I think the value of this box is excellent. Love the fabric. My seam ripper s have a mind of their own and wander off at will. I agree... definitely a consumable notion! Have a great day!
Love the idea of light - will check that out. If they would just combine the light AND the magnifying glass to one seam ripper, I'd get a whole closet full!
I just had to come back to say. I had a little seam ripping to do this afternoon and I was so excited to try out my new seam! Ripper. Well the light was fantastic. The blade was pretty dull. About on par with those really cheap ones you buy at Jo-Ann's. Such a shame because what a great idea.
I used Mettler for 20 years, as did my Mother. My new machine doesn't like it. I switched to Gutterman per my dealer. I just bought a spool of Aurifil to try. Give the Mettler a try!!
I love this box!! Much better than last month. I love Mettler thread and gutermann. I’m using aurufil thread right and I’m not impress with it. It keeps breaking .
This box was my first and I am quite pleased. I watched many unboxing to see which ones looked like the best value or fit my style and your videos were always very informative and fun. The fabric is something I never would of picked myself browsing online but seeing it in the box it’s actually quite pleasing and I look forward to making something with it that someone else will absolutely love. I guess that’s the point of these boxes is to take you out of your comfort zone.
I just ordered what Brody from see yeah called a saw ripper instead of a seam ripper. They sold them tonight and I bought me two. Well I bought one and they come with two but I can't wait to get up. It looks it be so easy then using my same ripper. I can't wait to try it. He made it look so easy too lol. See you Sunday morning
I like the LED seam ripper. The coasters are neat, but are going in my box of gifts for others. The fabric is not my cup of tea, but I will make the place mats for my local meals on wheels. I have used Mettler thread for piecing and it seems to lint up (at least to me) way more than Aurifil. Overall I think this was a nice box just not particularly my taste.
Hi Molly! FQS does have kits available - but they don't actually list the fabric requirements on the kit. I did snag one - so, once I get the kit, I'll post fabric requirements. :) If you want to buy the kit, you can do so here: shrsl.com/3l6a4
Hi Becca. I got my box 2days ago . Think that I am going to make the place mats. One for me, one for another friend who is alone and the other 2 to a couple that helps me since I am elderly. The directions don't say anything about batting. I have always used a thin batting. What do you use in your placemats?
I can not believe how many seam rippers I’ve lost and I only sew in one space. Where do they go? Seam Rippers and missing socks are hanging out together somewhere
You don't have to buy the kit, you can grab your own FQ bundle (or maybe a F8 bundle?) or just make it scrappy. I happened to snag a kit - they're apparently in stock! shrsl.com/3l6a4
You can use this link to shop the items in the June 2022 Sew Sampler box: shrsl.com/3s8mj
Watching this while visiting my sister. She was very impressed by your voice and enunciation.
Awww! Thanks for the feedback!!
Coasters are super cute 😍
Agreed!!!
Fabric really pretty 😍

I loved, loved this month’s box! Great job FQS
I totally agree!!
Thank you. You made excited about my box, I wasn't so much when I opened it. ..
I'm so glad!
Great video as always. Sew Sampler has been pretty good in 2022.
I totally agree!
Love the coasters
Me too
I enjoy seeing your videos.
Thank you!

Finally some thread again. Yay! I love everything this month.
It's been a while since we got thread!!

I always enjoy your unboxings. Your commentary is helpful and to the point. Thank you, Becca!
You are so welcome!
Love the shirt!!!
Thank you!
@@sewbecca you're very welcome

I never had a problem with Aurifil in my Baby Lock, but it's not playing as nicely in the Juki!
That’s what I have is a Baby Lock, too. Not impress with it either. Maybe with certain machines you can use certain threads.

Absolutely!
I didn’t realize the seam ripper was lighted! I’ll have to go back in my box and check it out. I was just tickled to have a new seam ripper! 😂
I feel like those are things we need to replace every so often!!
I am about to go to daughter's. She wants to make a quilt together!!! Bliss... Oh damn my wallet hurts. Lols. Cute box. hagd. Big hugs, Chel🌸
Hahaha! Well, look at it this way - you're making memories with her...and she'll cherish that quilt forever!

Oh, are those the Martelli Seam Rippers? He swears by them!!
@@sewbecca he didn't give the name but he says he uses them all the time. I can't wait.
Beautiful box. Waiting for a while for mine to arrive😄🇦🇺
Soon, hopefully! Just needs to cross the big pond!
Becca dear heart, it’s blooming midnight here in uk, but I don’t want to miss you 😘 I’m here now xxx Kris in New Forest England
Awww, big hugs Kris!

Only thing with mettle thread is it’s lentie.
Great box
I agree, Nancy!
Opps. Or did they give us fabric requirements for the whole year? I am new to this. Thanks, Becca.

Did you color your hair? It looks great.
Nope! Just the lighting!

I like VERY thin cotton batting (Dream Cotton - request is my go to! Here’s a link: amzn.to/3OpkkI3
Thanks Becca. You are always so helpful

I swear there's an alternate dimension out there with missing seam rippers, snips, and socks!
My seam ripper doesn’t light up. It’s says LED, does that mean I need to put it under a light to “energize” it????
No, it should light up. Maybe the battery needs replacing?
@@sewbecca geez! I didn’t realize…. There was a little paper in the battery bin that you are supposed to pull out. It’s all good!
Question; are we supposed to purchase a fabric kit for this block of the month?
You don't have to buy the kit, you can grab your own FQ bundle (or maybe a F8 bundle?) or just make it scrappy. I happened to snag a kit - they're apparently in stock! shrsl.com/3l6a4
Thanks again!
Darn those seam ripper feet🤣
Right?! LOL
