Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting video game based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics. The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It was released in April 2013 in North America, Europe, and Australia, and June 2013 in Japan. An expanded version of the game, titled Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, was released in November 2013 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. A free-to-play mobile app based on Injustice was also released for Android and iOS devices.

I also like how they foreshadowed that fear toxin Doomsday by having Superman break the news of his child to Batman but having Batman deduce it by saying that the last time he had seen Superman anxious and outwardly stressed and scared was with Doomsday.
To be honest...with Sups speed and the angle he took Lois into space,Frankly I am shocked that he did not either popped her head off or had the planets atmosphere burn her up or even just split her in half.I mean,in real life she'd have a hole in her stomach.

Samur/Aye Studios comicstorian just summarizes comics which is alright but I love this guy far more because he goes far more en depth and explains everything
Jose Sanchez I follow both, if you genuinely have alot of time on your hands or you just love comic related content then itd be good to subscribe to both to get 2 different point of views/narratives . just my opinion tho and I notice the people I see comment on comics explained are the same people on comicstorian vice versa

You kinda skipped over that Superman called batman bruce when superman was panicking at star-labs; just a little thing that illustrated how distraught superman was and that he didn't care that he compromised batmans identity to that star labs scientist. Sure Batman didn't seem to think much of it because finding lois was the priority at hand.

I hope the movie universe takes this turn, if only to make Superman interesting and to get rid of the worst Joker there's ever been. I know the flash forward sort of alludes to a timeline like this.

(TLDR: I think basing your entire cinematic universe on the Injustice universe would be a mistake, because the characters in the Injustice universe aren't actually the DC heroes we know and love)
I think the knightmare sequence was averted the moment Bruce and Clark stopped fighting. I think the Knightmare sequence is what would have happened if they never stopped fighting. But you never know. It may still happen later down the line. However...
I really hope they don't go the Injustice route. While I enjoy Injustice (especially year one) and while I think it's an interesting take on the DC heroes, it works best as an else world, an alternate universe, a "what if" story. But to base your whole cinematic universe on the Injustice universe, I think, would be a mistake. For the simple fact that the characters in the Injustice universe aren't really the characters we know and love. A lot of the actions they take are really out of character. And while that works for a comic series/game, I don't think it would work for a cinematic universe.
If Snyder had taken inspiration from the right Superman stories, the stories that don't shy away from the character traits that define his character (like Superman: Birthright), he would've been interesting from the start. Still, it's hard to be an interesting character when you're poorly written. Superman had like 45 lines of dialogue in the theatrical cut. That's how poorly they've been treating his character.
I would rather have Injustice movies than the movies they've been putting out, and likely the ones they put out next.

I love that this is a great example of outside media impacting the comicbook world. I'm not 100% clear on the the timeline this comic was published but it's clear the source material is based on the videogame. I'm really glad DC embraced a story that wasn't 100% a creation by the comic book writers. The plot just simply makes sense for the world that was built up over 50+ years of source material and it makes sense regardless if it's in a traditional comicbook format or a videogame. I also love that the main catalyst for Superman doing what he does is because of the Joker. It could have been easy for the writers to use a traditional Superman villain but to me it shows the Joker is 100% capable of getting to anyone regardless of who's trying to catch him whether it be Batman or Superman. It's great to see someone outside of the normal comicbook fuckery really mess up Superman. Even after the final conclusion to the story, it seems the Joker still wins.

I love injustice, easily one of my all time favorite stories. at the same time, Rob is at his best and is the most fun when he's excited and pumped. And now we have Rob excited about one of my favorite comics. oh baby, please don't stop.

Everytime you add another video to this series, I marathon it. There are lots of guys that talk about comics on TH-cam, but you are by far the most passionate, which keeps me watching and liking all of your videos. Love you Rob, keep up the awesome work.

Injustice has been one of my favorite comics for several years now. The issues are quick reads, but a lot happens in those few moments. And the story is fantastic. It's great seeing a despot Superman conquering the world, killing friends and foes, and basically creating a Civil War between the Heroes and Villains of DC.

Injustice is definitely among my favorite stories when it comes to the DC universe. You should definitely cover all of the injustice storyline. It got a little weird as it went on but it was still really good.

GOD I love Injustice! Especially the first few years.
Although it starts to go down in quality a bit in the later years. Mid year 3 or year 4 maybe? (Can't remember correctly) But then it gets good again. But I gotta say, it was soooo bizzare seeing so many of your favourite characters die. It was almost unbareable. Some of the best ones even in two or three pages or even panels.
You really felt like these were mortals and not all powerful superheores. Instead you were filled with dread that they could die anytime.
And I gotta say this, I absolutely HATE Wonder Woman and Sinestro in this series sooo much!

Years 1-3 were written by Tom Taylor. 4 & 5 were written by another guy. So that would probably explain it.
I was certain you covered this before. Went and rewatched the 1st. While it was good, this is SOOOOO much better. Your videos as of late have sounded more like you're talking to us as opposed to the other where you seem to talk at us. Your obvious enthusiasm also helps lol.

Great video! Hope you continue on, at least in year 1 since it's loaded with awesome parts. Lex Luthor twist, Atlantis, Nightwing, Superman talks with Batman along with their confrontation at the end - it's classic. I've followed up with injustice, so i'm definitely excited and hope this continues.

Darkseid is SOOOO not worth it. He's clunky, glitchy, and has soooo much time between initiating an attack and landing it... At least I was very disappointed in it. They cleaned it up a BIT with update patches but not enough to where it was worth it IMHO. But then again I am more of a combo stringer, mid to close range fighters with quick strikes and flow. Red hood, Deathstroke, Flash, Cyborg off the top of my head would be my examples of my go to roster guys...

What i love about the jokers death in this is that line "I thought i'd try this on easy mode for once" it gets looked over a lot but it shows what the jokers only motivation is. He wants batman to kill him, he wants to take gothoms white knight and force him to break his code. But batman is UNCOMPROMISING. Batman, is INCORRUPTIBLE. so he goes to metropolis and gets superman to do it. and as powerful as great as superman is, superman does not have the mental fortitude bruce wayne has. Superman can be corrupted.Superman CAN be made to break that code, to kill a defenseless man. Hence "easy mode"

The ways Batman tries to overthrow Superman's Regime is so freaking badass, the last volume was actually quite ingenious. When Superman considers Batman one of the most dangerous man on the planet, this series showcase that very well.
