The downfall of streaming began to occur after companies saw the success of Netflix in the streaming business and decided to try to get as much money out of the industry as they could. It started with Disney launching Disney+, followed by NBC launching Peacock and WarnerBros Discovery launching HBO Max, which has since been rebranded to Max. Netflix started the trend of cord cutting, which meant getting rid of cable, however now paying for all of the major streaming services will most likely have you paying more than you would be paying for cable. So how did the streaming industry get to be in the position? Let's find out.

The answer to "Why company do anti-consumer thing?" is always, "Investors are cancer and shouldn't be allowed for companies that aren't new startups.".
The worst companies are always the publicly traded ones and there is basically nothing in a publicly traded company that you can't trace back to the chase for infinite money.
Some of them are smart enough to play the long game and let the other companies take all the heat for pushing boundaries before catching up to them in 10 to 15 years but they're not doing it out of the goodness of their heart.
They will almost certainly be as bad as what you're complaining about right now in 10 to 15 years. Just because they didn't cross the line as far doesn't mean they haven't crossed the line of what was ever acceptable.
Letting other companies boil their frog, still doesn't lead to a good outcome for the frog.
Great video, man. I don’t get the complaints about your speaking. I found it fine, and u spoke clearly and in an easy to follow way.
One thing that has also happened due to the "streaming wars" is that piracy has gone up massively.
When it was just Netflix piracy was at an all time low. But then when more services started appearing piracy went up.
Good point! And thank you for the kind words I appreciate it
Do what you want, cause a pirate is free,
YOU ARE A PIRATE!
Yar har, fiddle di dee,
Being a pirate is alright to be,
Do what you want cause a pirate is free,
You are a pirate!
What happened is simple. All of the cable execs lost their jobs at TV companies and then got hired at streaming services, right as competition and profit margins went down at the streaming services. They came in with "new ideas," which were really the same ideas they always had.
I'm sure others may view it differently, but that's how I see it. Bring back Blockbuster!!
Rehashing the same stuff people have been saying forever, but decent video anyway.
Dude you are talking in such way that I felt sleepy 💤 already
Talking too slow?
@@JStoryOfficial slow speed, intonations, at0:46 back found is from 80s. I could not advance much in video
Appreciate the feedback
I thought the narration was fine. Just keep it natural and don't pick up the god awful "TH-camr" accent.
Appreciate it man! Will do
