So Brian hugs the stone, gets a load of hair while cooking, and blow me the fire destroys his tent; and as for the hair, it got burnt' all off again before we got a chance to see it! Just typical eh! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂Reminds me of the old saying 'Hair today, gone tomorrow!' 🤣🤣🤣😂😂

Great location. Poor Brian - although he’s lucky. I was on my DofE & watched the people in the next tent cooking in the vestibule with the tent doors flapping. Their tent literally vanished. The fire went from front to back and all that was left were the poles & the inner!!

I wont be hugging that stone again! Defo bad luck! Shame about the tent and really pleased that he wasnt hurt. Could have easily caught the heather as well so a very lucky escape all round!

Bad luck. Burnt a hole in my Alpkit Soloist at the end of the Pennine Way (in the very smart and friendly Kirk Yetholm Caravan Park) - just couldn’t face going outside in the rain to make my morning cuppa - entirely my own fault (I have learnt my lesson and am now prepared to go without), but easily done. Filled in the hole with a patch plus an area of tenacious tape which has held for over 2 years now. Just not very pretty.
