I was at a dance studio, the very first dance, was the tango. Their top dancer picked me to dance with him. I was both thrilled and intimidated at the same time, as I had never danced the tango before. He made me look good, it was beautiful and a treasured memory.
@@sillililli01 My Mom taught me the walking step, & all the others I know, my Dad taught me. Unfortunately, the Tango wasn't one of them. Dad & I were watching ballroom dancing & I said to him, "The Women are doing all the work." He laughed & said, "It's the job of the Men to make the Women look good. They have to make sure that they are in the correct position so that the Women can perform the steps they are supposed to. The better the Woman looks while dancing, & the smoother their transitions are, the better the job her partner is doing." I had never realized that fact until I danced with a Gentleman I had never danced with before. I told him that I wasn't the best dancer & he said, "No problem." When he wanted me to turn a certain way, he would just drop his hand toward the direction he wanted me to go. If it was a quick drop of his hand it was one turn, if his hand remained dropped, we turned until he returned his hand to an upright position. I only made one mistake while dancing with him, at the very beginning, because I didn't know what his hand movements meant; he whispered in my ear, "Dance in the direction my hand is pointing", & away we went. If you didn't know it, you would think we had been dancing together for years.

First of all, dancing the Tango solo but in a group is harder than dancing in pairs. Secondly, I love that people not associated with the original dance group joined in & danced the Tango. How lovely. I have always wanted to learn the Tango. My late Father taught me all the dance steps I know & unfortunately, the Tango was not one of them. Alas, maybe one day.

It's amazing to dance with a strong leading partner, but my favourite was with an elderly gentleman who was so very polite :)

Потрясающе, звуки трио, исполняющие танго на народных инструментах не оставила посетителей торгового центра без внимания, хорошая задумка организаторов этого мероприятия в прохладное время года когда большее колличество посетителей находится не на улице.Это и реклама национального танцевального колорита и душевного времяпрепровождения.Молодцы!!!!
