  • Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.
Keeper Mike is on a mission in Moscow for a baby orang-utan called Joly, while back at the park her future home has been built. And in Paddy’s chimp group, Eddi has a ‘toddler tantrum’. She’s growing up which means having to fend for herself, and she is not happy about it!

Thank you for seeing these people for who and what they do. They literally save these infants from certain death. Primates, especially Orangutans have been hunted for removal for the Palm Oil Plantations, creating hundreds and hundreds of orphan orangutans. These poor babies watch as these mercenaries kill their mothers right in front of them. Truly a sickening fact. I looked up what items Palm Oil affects, and you'd be surprised at how many they do affect. That said these sanctuaries are so vital in rehabilitation for these orangutans. Thank God they exist, and they have such dedicated people who are completely devoted to these orangutans and chimpanzees, it gives them some hope for the future.

And let’s only hope and pray the primates don’t loose their lives when these idiotic people can no longer control them. This planet could go on for eternity without mankind, but could not without these wild animals. I know this goes waaay over your heads, so if you'll do just a little bit of reading on ecosystems, you just might learn how important they are for the balance and well being of to our very survival and the future of the planet. I love how this organization takes into account the animals feelings and emotions. Also the animals psychological health ism valued by this organization which I love. They know how all these components are important to an animals well being. Its more than just food and medical care. Recently I have had a strong interest in primates. There are a lot of channels with cute baby monkeys but im trying to avoid those channels because I don't want to inadvertently support animal mistreatment or abuse. I'm very impressed by Monkey World's practices and philosophy.

At 15:37…😍. Wow, they're so incredibly precious. The baby orangutan goes to play bite her caregiver. It reminded me of my doggy when she goes to pick up and bite literally anything she first comes across in her path to show us she's annoyed or frustrated or lovingly, how strong she is. It's one of my favorite things she does. And now I'm gonna fall in love with this little baby orangutan who obviously has a fun personality just like my fur baby❤️

So beautiful little Joly is absolutely precious. I'm glad they saved her. I was wondering though, of all the different types of primates Monkey World has rescued, they have not rescued any gorillas. I just wondered why not those beautiful primates.

Another episode Jeremy was passing out honey and he never took more than two or three steps the whole time he ended up putting six Globs of Honey on one single log and sure enough what happened as usual dominant male or dominant monkey came and took all six of the Globs leaving everyone else with next to nothing it is really almost sickening the way they do not distribute the treats and toys equally amongst these monkeys it always ends up with the babies having to go beg for scraps or other lower ranking monkeys and babies ending up with nothing if they would spread everything around the entire enclosure everyone would get to enjoy treats and toys

I wonder how many passengers on that commercial airplane knew they were flying with a baby Orangutan on board the flight? It seemed as though they let them board with the Orangutan first and it looked like they were seated at the back of the plane so I’m guessing that most of the other passengers didn’t know.

People that keep these WILD animals and treat them like little humans are no more than abusers. It's horrible for these Animals to live this way! It's great to keep each of the species together and they can have interaction among each other! Not kept in a human home, dressed up & wearing diapers and sleeping in human beds.
