The HKS Hipermax coils are another great choice. Their new Hipermax S rides really well. We tested them on an employee car and I was impressed. I'd say the Ohlins take it even further.
2 thoughts: are Ohlin springs made by Swift Springs? For the money, shouldn't all 4 corners be 'inverted monotube' designs? I guess it doesn't matter.........
Is cutting the 20mm off the bottom of the front dust boot necessary? Just received these coilovers on the weekend and will be looking to assemble them over the week. Just curious if I need to worry about it Edit: For anyone curious, I received my R&T and it says to make the 20mm cut in the instructions! Something not mentioned here is that you also need to cut 52mm off the rear dust boot as well. But all is listed in the instructions if you read them 👍
@@edwardm1569 sounds like the spring coil moves and make a PING! noise with a vibrating resonation sound following. I'm sure when I mess with my preload and try orienting the coil a different way the sound will go away. Rare it happens, and some penetrating lubricant on the top bearing helped alot, but once in a while when going over a small bump ill get that noise.
They are not a consulting firm that knows where to go in Augusta, GA. You have to find a shop on your own. I'd suggest you go visit shops in your city and talk to the people who work there. Ask other car enthusiasts who they go to in your area.
If you're looking for a budget friendly option, they give you everything you need. I've been running them all last year on my track FRS and they felt great out there. Keep in mind the FR-spec is more track oriented so they are on the stiffer side.
@@KevinVo better ride than stock i assume. I wanna be able to go both for comfort ( long rides w/ other passenger(s) ) and spirited driving of course :) Mostly, it is just me in my car tho
The Ohlins will give you better ride quality on Iowa roads and will handle really well with autocross. If you're doing a lot of performance driving you can opt for a more performance oriented setup, but if you want the best of both worlds the Ohlins R&T is the way to go.
Had a set for 2 years, one of the best coils. Highly recommended.
some ppl in other ohlins videos commented a "clunking" sound going up inclines but have you ever had any odd noises like that ?
Do you really have to service Ohlins every 20k miles?
@@itshangertime nope
@@cappierising1774 i have that noise in the two rears
@@itshangertime it is a checking interval, not for the service.
Just a tip, use anti seize on all joints between shocks and knuckles and bolts. It's steel to aluminium contact and will corrode.
I run Ohlins and Brembos on my bikes and Jesus you can beat either. Hands down Ohlins.
You should have shown a side view of the car with the wheels/tires after the install. 🤔
I have the HKS hipermax SPs when I was buying them I also considered these. They look amazing! I know Ohlins from motorcycle suspension

Awesome video!!! Thanks for sharing the assembly!
I have been looking at these and the K&W of the same price point. Also like to see some Volk G025 on the car in gold 🤤

Cusco next?
Pros and cons? I drive my WRX as a daily. In need of some coilovers..
tein coilovers = affordable, worth the price, no nonsense, lighter & better than stock.
Cusco, Ohlins, HKS = expensive but more daily "racing" & "track" serious
What’s the torque specs on top of the coilovers ? Top hat? I have these coil overs I want to buy the Cusco strut towers
ordered this kit from ya last year, love it except I have a ping in my right front
what is a ping?

Killer B- made UEL for fa20 ? U guys planning on reviewing it?
Öhlins Road & Track vs KW Clubsport 2way 🤔🤔🤔
Looking at these or fortune auto 500 or 510’s, but I don’t see the FA’s on the website.
Kw v2’s all day but these look nice.
Driving impressions, please.
Hello , hey what lugs are you using on the extended arp studs ?
Is the old suspension for sale?
Anyone know what front lip that is ? I cant seem to find one that looks exactly like that where the side profile angles up.
I'm in Augusta Georgia. Where is the nearest reputable tuning shop that I could have some of these products installed

Advan rg3 wheels 19"
Which one would be better for Iowa roads mixed with autocross. The Fortune Auto 510s with swift springs or Ohlins R&T?

Try some artisa wheels.
Do you think BC racing BR coilovers are good for daily?
Why do you keep saying metric measurements? This is America ma dude, use the correct units of measurement.
