yes they have storyline and in their storyline they are time traveling pirates. There is also different versions of ateez in their storyline its very complicated but fun😂

I know ateez from last year before it I was only fan of straykids band ❤️, but in kingdom competition show I found ateez 🔥 ❤️ where I was so jellous by their performances 😁 but now I'm fully in ateez their powerful stages and funny game shows attracted me , their storyline based on pirate and treasures , they r 8 but some time due to hiatus or any injury reason they can't performed. U must get a guide of Etiny it's long but informative if u like this group 😇

I just love your honest first reaction! Hongjoong (Orange hair in Deja vu) is the captain (leader) and rapper, my bias. The most basics: 8 makes 1 team, their slogan. They are from a small company called KQ Entertainment. Their main theme is pirates. In Deja Vu Jongho was injured so didn't take part in the dancing but is in the MV which is why you thought there were 7 members. They all appear in Wonderland but in Fireworks Mingi was on hiatus & so only his voice appears (his rapping can be heard on the radio). If you live in England, they are performing 2 concerts at the end of the month at Wembley Arena & they are awesome live performers if you are interested.

@@ChloeMayReacts They have played in SK & done the US leg of the tour but the European leg was rescheduled due to Covid. Everyone who has seen them in concert said they were awesome & I can't wait cos I am seeing them on the 30th (there are still tickets left for both days I believe).
I got into kpop through bts and there was only one group that caught my attention AND kept me glued to them was ATEEZ. There are 1000s of kpop groups as of now but what distinguishes ateez is their powerful music, both hard and soft songs, their vocals and most importantly their choreo and stage presence. They are 100 % live on stage and it takes immense stamina to perform those hard choreos and yet sing live which is something I haven’t seen a lot in groups from their generation. Their ballads can make you cry even of you don’t understand korean. Try Turbulence or Take me home(this doesn’t have an MV). From the day they debuted, it seemed they were a 5’year old group because they were so talented and charismatic. Im happy I found them and I am gonna stan them for rest of my life. Welcome to the atiny club. You should watch all of their title track MVs or just do a listening party with their albums. Trust me they have a no skip discography 😍

Some basic facts that might help you get what they're about:
- they're a pretty young group, debuted at the end of 2018 so they're nearing 3.5 years old
- there are 8 of them with a fairly small difference in age but the two oldest are very clearly the "parents" of the group - the captain, Hongjoong (the smol leader/rapper/composer/producer) is the "dad" and the oldest, Seonghwa (vocal/performer/sub-rapper) is the "mom"
- they're from a very small company, KQ Entertainment, where they are the only active group, they have their in-house production team and choreographers/dance crew, both excellent and quite famous in the industry, you'll find out that Atiny also simp for them (with good reason, they're great and a lot of them are very hot)
- because of how small the company is the whole KQ family is very close-knit and Ateez are closely involved in the artistic process, they also have a lot of freedom in terms of style, pursuing their personal artistic interests, and they don't have the usual limitations like dating bans or tattoo bans, being forced to diet etc.

Ateez are having a concert in the UK Ovo arena for 2 nights - on 31.04 and 01.05.! There are still some tickets left if you would like to go! It's so much fun, they are called the Kings of live performances! I am flying to the UK as I will be going to the 31.04. show! Can't wait!
Starting with ATEEZ as your first venture away from BTS boygroup wise = YAS! I do find it funny though that you don't know who TXT is when they are from the same company as BTS lol. My top 2 groups are: SHINee and ATEEZ. There are actually 8 members however 1 is not in the dance scenes in Deja Vu as he had an ankle injury that he was still recovering from. ATEEZ is just THAT group for me, they have everything I could ever want and then some. Their sound/ style is unique, vocals are incredible, visuals for daysss, rappers are swaggy as hell, all 8 could be main dancers and are in my book, music videos are always top notch, and they are the funniest and sweetest people ever. There is a particular guide that, while it may not be the best out there for learning about the group/ members, is very helpful for learning pronunciation and that is 'An actually helpful guide to ATEEZ (에이티즈) -Updated 2021' which I will link at the end of this comment. The clips at the end of the MV's are all a part of their storyline and the music played is usually a bit of a teaser for their next title track. There are no bad choices with ATEEZ. I do recommend Say My Name, Hala Hala, Wave, Answer, The Real (especially since you like anime), Turbulence (vocals!), and Don't Stop. For summer fun songs, Wave again, Eternal Sunshine, and their collab with Kim Jong Kook, Be My Lover.
They OWN Halloween concepts, so I highly suggest the Pirate King Halloween performance, the Wonderland Halloween stage, and the Black Cat Nero mv AND Immortal Songs performance.

Ok, so a little information about ATEEZ
- Before debuting they were called KQ Fellaz, and in their trainee times they focus and specialized themselves in dancing! Which is why from day 1 they have been called kings of performance, they have really a very strong stage presence. There's actually 4 performances videos from when they were KQ Fellaz (3 as a group and 1 of Yunho who is main dancer and vocalist in ATZ) so I HIGHLY recommend you to react to it!
-Yes they have a storyline ( I'm not good at explain it so I will leave it for another ATINY to explain it to you) and they have a concept of pirates who time travel and has another version of themselves from another dimension, known as the Halateez ( which is when they used black clothes, hat and mask. I absolutely love that you started the video saying that you aren't too invested in kpop, and two and a half ATEEZ songs in you were declaring that you love kpop. I've been a huge kpop fan for over a decade now, and I can tell you, ATEEZ are something special. They're only matched for me by the group that got me into kpop, which was B.A.P, though kpop has changed a lot since 2012. There's just something about ATEEZ that works on every level. And it doesn't hurt that they're basically a group of all-rounders. There's not one of them that isn't a standout dancer on their own, all of them can sing (and always do so live), they've got ridiculous visuals and stage presence, members participate in composition, choreography, lyrics, and producing...the list goes on.
At the beginning of Deja Vu, also, the three you pointed out were Yunho (red/black hair), Yeosang (grayish hair), and Seonghwa (black hair).
Yunho is one of the main dancers of the group, and the one they point to as their best dancer whenever asked. He has insane precision, picks up choreo ridiculously fast, and helps the others learn it when they're struggling. He can sometimes get overshadowed on stage by the more theatrical dancing of the demon line of ATEEZ (more on this later), but when you watch him? His dancing is downright mesmerizing. He also contributes to the choreography on occasion, and gives his input and ideas to the choreographers. His dancing ability is even more impressive when you realize that he is the tallest member of the group at 6'1". He is placed near the back of their formations when it isn't one of his parts for this reason, but he doesn't seem to mind. ATEEZ has talked a lot about their goals with performance, and how they want to be a cohesive unit that still shows every member's individuality, and Yunho's dancing and placement serves to balance out their overall visual a lot. His razor precision is basically a baseline, and if you want to know exactly what their choreo is down to the last movement, he's the one you want to watch. But please don't take this as me saying he lacks personality while performing, or his dancing is soulless. His passion and intensity are extremely apparent when he performs. I really cannot stress what a joy it is to watch him practice his craft. He has a gorgeous voice, with a surprisingly large range, and is extremely stable when performing live, even while dancing like he does. He is also called by the others a "golden retriever", because he is a very bright and happy person, and loves making others smile with his quirky sense of humor. You may also see people refer to him as "everyone's boyfriend" due to his approachable personality and appearance, and there's a running joke that even if he's not your bias, he's still kinda your bias. He is the third oldest member of the group, after Seonghwa and Hongjoong.
Yeosang's position in the group is as visual and performer. He has probably the deepest voice of the vocal line (and honestly, he and Mingi, the deeper voiced rapper, have similar singing ranges), and an extremely unique tone, but he unfortunately also gets the fewest singing lines of the group in general. This is changing more recently, fortunately, but in their early stuff especially you'll probably notice he might get one or two lines in every song. Yeosang is an absolute sweetheart. He is very soft-spoken and tends to be shyer than the others, but he also has a razor-sharp wit, and no compunctions about teasing and/or embarrassing the others when the time is right. He is one of the dance line of the group, and honestly is too overlooked for it. He has been getting really into working out lately, and you can really see it in his performances and confidence on stage. As for his visuals....well, they caught you immediately. He is often called a "statue" due to how perfectly he looks, and is also fairly regularly referred to as an "elf", "prince", "faerie", etc. for his unique, ethereal beauty. Yeosang is also, in my opinion, one of the cutest members of the group. His natural personality is very sweet and feels innocent, even when he really isn't, and his smiles are always genuine and easy. He is the fourth oldest in the group, after Seonghwa, Hongjoong, and Yunho.
Seonghwa is the oldest member of the group, but honestly, the age range in ATEEZ is so small that that doesn't mean a ton. He is a vocalist for the group, and unofficially a visual, but he originally auditioned for KQ as a rapper, so you'll see him rap every once in a while too. He is considered the "mom" of the group, and is one of the most genuinely sweet idols I've ever seen. He really cares about his group members, and always tries to make sure to show them appreciation and affection. He can be a bit awkward sometimes, but not overly so, and it is incredibly endearing. He also extends his love and affection to fans *all* the time, and seems to genuinely find a lot of joy in interacting with and showing that love to ATINY. He apparently used to be very self conscious with his appearance, but says it was the constant compliments from fans that has turned that around for him, so now he is the member of the group that takes and shares the most selfies online, which I find really sweet. Seonghwa is an imminently talented individual, as well. Like I mentioned, he can sing, rap, dance, and is considered one of the best in the group for performance (though, again, everyone is A tier). He is part of what is called the "demon line" of ATEEZ, which consists of San, Seonghwa, and Hongjoong (and arguably Wooyoung, but they all continue to improve all the time, so it's hard to draw hard lines regarding their performances), which are the group members that have the most wild stage presence and facial acting while performing. He really does look like a different person on and off stage, because of how drastic his intensity while performing is, and how soft and sweet he is otherwise. As for his voice, you might notice that early on he had fewer lines in songs in general. Roughly the same amount as Yunho, as their voices are similar, but as his confidence grew after debut, Seonghwa has pushed for more vocal lines and practiced very hard to earn them. As such, he has been a lot more prominently featured in the last couple mini albums, which is wonderful, because he has a great voice. Half the group are baritones (Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, and Mingi), which is already unusual for a kpop group (tenors tend to be much more desired by companies), and it adds a lot or richness to go along with San's lighter tenor and Jongho's power tenor.
Also, just as a side note, these three you chose? They're my bias (Yunho) and the two that most often wreck me. But I really want to stress that ATEEZ is notorious for being a *ridiculously* difficult group to actually choose a bias for. In my over a decade of kpop fandom, and the hundreds of groups that I've listened to and supported, I have *never* seen a group where fans give up and just decide to bias everyone so often. Even with BTS, who I have followed since before their debut, I don't see the equal outpouring of love for every member of the group to the extent I see with ATINY. And even with me, who has a bias, it is because of a specific string of events that left a lasting impact on me, and not because I like one member more than the others in a serious way. Every single member of ATEEZ seems to be genuine, earnest, humble, and caring, and they all seem to love each other and their fans with all their hearts. So don't feel like you have to choose a bias! ATINY that watch you will be just as happy with you dying over everyone!
I know this was wrong, and I only touched on three of the eight members even, but I hope it was worth the read. You'll get to know everyone a lot better as you go, and I am excited to see it! i love bts and absolutely adore ateez! so im armytiny . did you know wooyoung and yeosang are from bighit? they trained until they got word of final TXT lineup. they are bffs with most txt members. and wooyoung is best friends with Changbin from Stray kids.
fun fact: 4th gen boygroups understand you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. meaning they dont have beef, and they let their fandoms know friendship between groups is important to have. they are all friends and support eachother at every turn even when they are on survival shows against eachother. kingdom legendary war show for example. all vlives or yt lives you catch of wooyoung and you will find him calling his friends from other groups.

i decided that the halazia mv looked cool so i decided to watch it. within 30 seconds i had downloaded all their albums, this was just after their bouncy comeback and since then they have become my favorite artists.

We are a loving family, Atiny/Ateez, we're pretty chill, but fiercely protective of our boys. They are so talented, it's just astounding how much so sometimes. Assuming you also like BTS a lot for their very friendly, dork and family like dynamics, you will also like ATEEZ. After getting to know more about them, i really believe that they were meant to be together. They are family. Other strong aspect of ATEEZ is their storytelling and storyline, you know, the theories behind all mvs. If you like great stories, i really recommend checking them out besides only the mvs. They are known as the pirates of kpop because being pirates really takes a good part of their storyline, but they are also rebels againts the goverment that is manipulating their population, they travel between dimentions with the hourglass, and they have "clones", not that they are bad or evil, but they have their own mission apart from the ateez from the other dimention. ATEEZ is really funny and passionate people. Pls react more to them
