Even as a kid, when the movie came out, I refused to watch it because I thought it was ugly.
If there are any Disney animated films that have not gotten the live action treatment but should, this is at the top of my list.

@@woodykrska9947 in both films a group of characters find something from outer space that suggests the end of world. The public generally doesn’t believe them and they become a laughing stock and are humiliated. Things get even worse overtime when one character wins people over, but falls back into being hated due to still believing the oncoming threat. However the main characters are indeed proven right at the end as the proof is no longer undeniable and the everyone starts panicking while things go to shit, except for our protagonists who meet up again and make the most of the situation.

I actually love Hoodwinked. But yeah, my family loves this movie, and I don’t understand why. And I’m the one who has the unpopular opinions.
A lot of people like hoodwinked, but you can not deny its inspiration.

I'm unfazed by this movie, but if Buck had hesitated, and THEN apologized to the townsfolk, MAYBE I would have been a little suspicious. But the fact that he first looks to the townsfolk and then tells his son he doesn't believe him is okay for me.
This movie was released one year after DreamWorks Shrek 2 and Pixar’s The Incredibles. The animation looks pretty abysmal and it really shows, yeah before this movie came out Disney had a forgettable animated disaster (including a lot of duds from Disney’s experimental era like fantasia 2000, Brother Bear, Atlantis, treasure planet, emperor’s new groove) that made the money burn, also become financially unsuccessful/the lowest gross, while they scream in the sunset, and permanently killed Hand Drawn Animation (Home on the Range). At least Disney bounced back in the game by making this worst animated movie and proved to be a box office success since lilo and stitch (the only hand drawn animated movie to be the hit in the post-renaissance/experimental era/phase).
Emperor's New Groove was a dud??
@@dinodare1605 don’t get me Wrong, I love emperor’s new groove, it’s a cult classic, and it’s hilarious, but the film only made $169.5 Million on a $100 million budget when the film came out in theaters at the time.
I love Atlantis, treasure planet, and emperor’s new groove but yeah unfortunately society wasn’t ready for them at the time.
I only watched Chicken Little twice in my life. It was not a good movie at all, but there were still a lot of genuinely amusing moments in it to save this movie from being completely unwatchable. I may need to watch Chicken Little again just to understand what it has in common, or attempts to have in common with Shrek. We all knew that song was lying. All that glitters is not gold. I used to really relate to this movie as a kid, because well, I was an autistic troublemaker in a small community and so that's how the life basically felt (they didn't make a movie about me but my classmates made poems and songs to make fun of me so that also checks out). Took me a really long time to realize people aren't supposed to treat me like this. Years and years of therapy. I hate this movie now.
I never realized, until watching this video, that the Shrek and Puss fight scene had an Alien reference in it. Nice!
I always saw this movie as the first attempt of Disney to make a big buck in the middle of the CGI euphoria of the 2000s. But a movie it´s not going to get good just for using CGI. Actually, I really like ATLANTIS, the animated movie from Disney.
I always interpreted the alien premise as an attempt to expand on Chicken Little's story by making it such that, instead of just being stupid thinking an acorn was the sky, he actually came across something genuinely supernatural, but the town didn't believe him. This does very well to emphasize the injustice of our Chicken's situation, but it also makes almost every other character less sympathetic.
i have to agree this movie is soo bad that it makes cars 2 and brave and the prequel look like they deserve awards
What’s wrong with Brave?? Yeah its one of the more forgettable Pixar movies imo, but it had a very interesting story.
34:44 Some people online had a crazy theory with Foxy Loxy after some time depending on how deep the mind alteration was. Her old personality eventually returned but her new personality ending mixing with her old one. Creating an old yet new Foxy Loxy, who still likes Runt. Brainwashing Residue. She still has a mean streak, but is a lot nicer, partially subdued by the new Foxy Loxy time in her head. It does still disturbs me that Runt is happy with Foxy being turned into a Southbelle obsessed with old pop songs. 💀
Speaking of anthro animal movies that have worlds that don't justify their animal characters and have a mixed reputation, do you plan to cover the Sing movies?
I'm not sure. I guess it's like what encanto for me, I would like to watch the movie but since I have heard everything that happens in it from the very ending to the big confrontation scene, I don't know if I'd enjoy it as much as everyone else.
@@fishmobsmovietv514 I've seen all 3 movies. Sing 1 and 2 are, IMO, not terrible but very forgettable movies with some memorable characters but not enough to make them films worth seeing. Encanto, IMO, is one of the most overrated movies ever. It's boring and very uninteresting to me, and it really goes nowhere significant or enthralling, and it's just another cliche "be yourself and family leader learns to become a better person" story we've seen before.
14:04 I don’t think they’re reusing the joke, at least I always figured the idea was that they were *still* being pulled the entire time, same kids same mom. So continuing the joke rather than repeating it.

I'll never understand why disney made the animation so ugly,like look at the traditonal animation they were doing in the video,that's already better animation than we got,is disney saying they couldn't keep that same animation style when they shifted it to 3d? look I know 3d models are hard to do and we had shitty programs back then but my goodness,your really telling me yall couldn't figure out a more decent animation art style for it? plus what's with the cruelty in the movie? even chicken's own father hates him,someone had a bad day while making this movie and they left their rage in that movie
Soooo many movies nowadays lack creativity. Chicken Little completely altered the OG Henny Penny and tried something …different (at least). Poor execution, but as a kid I loved this movie. I loved Fish Outta Water ☺️

Chicken Little is the reason for my being. I am here to this day because of Chicken Little. My personality, my existence, to the subatomic particles in my flesh, to the multiple therapy sessions and multiple therapists, the crimes I’ve committed, the songs I’ve written, every step, is because of Chicken Little. My mental state is the way it is because of Chicken Little. Chicken Little is my muse, my reason for everything I’ve done, said, and accidentally caused. I love Chicken Little.

I think that's because I actually took some time to figure out how to organically weave both plot lines together. Something that this movie never had a chance to do.

We know, but it was clear it tried to copy Shrek but forgot its points of why Shrek succeeded.
