I got a bit of metal on my 1hr oil change as well. I havent but 3 hrs total on my 25' xcx. I got a question for your experience from yours. I kinda feel like the clutch chatters more than usual in neutral with clutch lever out. And also while lugging in higher gear when you wrap on the throttle i hear a kinda cha-chonk if you will.... accelerating. Sounds like clutch or im thinking power valve actuating? Im curious if youve felt the same? Thanks. And good content. Just subbed.
Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback!! And thank you for subscribing! Yeah I def have a lot of clutch chatter with this bike. But it’s no different than the clutch chatter my 2022 300 xc has (last gen motor). I wouldn’t stress it one bit. And the noise while lugging in high gear is also normal. And I believe it to be the power valve as well. I hear it often. These 2 strokes make a lot of noise. Even just from the front of the pipe at idle and the amount of noises I hear from the cylinder lol. But yeah man definitely wouldn’t stress it. Back to the metal. My 22 never had any metal even when new. And to have alittle on first oil change like I did wasn’t to alarming. But the fact that I continued to have metal until 40 hours with a clunky shifting experience was alarming. It’s all better now but def had me stressed alittle. Again thanks man!
@ChrisBurns1119 cool, glad to hear it's pretty much normal. I will say though, I was blown away with how smooth the transmission was on this new bike. It felt like each shift was consistently smooth. Unlike some of the other bikes I have had where you kinda feel what the shift drum and forks are doing in there...if that makes sense. Long of the short, it sounds like maybe there was something possibly funky in your trans.
Oh I definitely agree there was something going on with it. My 2022 shifts super smooth. But it’s already passed warranty and I prefer nobody have their hands in my engine besides me. So as long as it’s good now with no issues I’m happy. And in the future when it needs a crank I’ll make sure to go over every part of the transmission very good
The noise in neutral with the clutch lever out isn’t the clutch. The clutch is at rest under spring tension. The noise is the dog teeth in the gearbox.
My theory on the metal is that its actually from the clutch … from the plates wearing against the basket. As the clutch beds in the shifting get easier.
No you can’t but you can transfer it from one bike to another if you sell a bike and get a new one. Cost some money but still cheaper than buying it new
Just bought this bike they did not put on the pull straps can you show how the are installed? I would like to put them on!!! Great video by the way!
I made a short showing how it’s installed. Going onto my channel and you’ll find if. Thank you! Much appreciated!
Did you find the short I made? If not email me and I will help you out

nothing wrong with your clutch pack, but would check the rubber dampers
@@shane9338 yeah I’m definitely going to check the dampers. I thought the clutch looked good but wasn’t positive. Thanks man! Much appreciated!
@@ChrisBurns1119 what oil you are using
@juliomaciel4766 Motorex top speed 15w50
You can't use the ERM on a different bike can you?
