I cried and cried some more, and then double checked to make sure I didn't miss Yom Kippur! Thank you Rabbi for your continued service bringing us messages like this
Thank you so much, Rabbi YY! I am not Jewish, at least not yet. Nevertheless, as I listened, before you mentioned the Chazan's inspiration by his good deed to a grieving Jew, the tears were welling up in my eyes. Although I have been very blessed to be instrumental in comforting the grieving, my tears were not because of that profound joy of helping a sorrowful brother, a Ben Adam. My tears were because I so readily identify with the sorrow of descending from Jews who suffered. I readily identify with failing to practice the faith of those Jewish ancestors. I readily identify with missing the opportunity to observe Yom Kippur with a Jewish community and the heart-wrenching power of hearing Kol Nidre live 😢. G'mar chatima tova.
beautiful video and much needed, as a descendant of Shoah survivors that came to America, its brutal, Rabbi YY, do you have a recommendation for a community my family wants to move to
I love you my Rabbi YY, Iam a noahide who ardently follow you and your teachings are into me. But I do feel lonely in this part of the world being alone here in Zambia, Africa.
I'm sitting here 20km away from Frankfurt and I'm a noahide I had tears hearing what the rabbi said, it touches me so much my wish is also to celebrate this feast,, and I don't dare to go to the synagogue alone,, I think one day such a miracle will happen to me,,, have beautiful yom Kippur 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇩🇪🇮🇱🇮🇱
Some people can feel their Jewishness in the soul when it awakens as they hear something that triggered their spirituality. Maybe you shop check your mother’s DNA, it is possible that you are already Jewish from your mother’s lineage.
@@isabellar8881 Thank you very much dear Isabella,, did you mean DNA from my mother or my DNA,, I actually had my DNA tested and there is more Italian DNA less German, but no Jewish DNA,, I wish you to stand in the book of life and to look at your loved ones
@@Tys-k5o thank you very much for such a nice comment @b.b309 and I wish for you the same too. It is still very special that you feel this to the point of tears. There are millions of Jewish people who don’t know that they come from Jewish heritage.
What a beautiful message I think that just like the chazzan brought in the elderly Jew with such compassion and love, I can also take all those hurt and traumatized parts of myself and just bring them to a place of God and healing with that same love and compassion ❤❤❤ love u all
What a fantastic idea and appropriate message. Perfect for a day after Yom Kippur:) Thank you so very much Rabbi! You are a gift! May 5785 be the best year ever
I dare any Jew, anywhere, to not feel huge sadness and hope, pain and joy, shame and pride and all the emotions when attending a Kol Nidre service. Have an easy fast! Everything is much longer this year because it's Shabbat, so best of luck to Chazans everywhere!
I forgot it was kol Nidre...the next day I forgot to go shul thinking Sunday was Yom Kippur. I'm slipping away a lonely senior who is estranged from her children ..grandkids ..Parents gone.. this is first time I found myself so saddened. Just scrolling found your very appropriate sermon. How inspirational ..thank you for this touching story .
Beautiful. Beautiful. The lines that the Chazan usually was praying for acknowledgement etc AKA his Ego touched me deeply. I cried. And then he gets the chance to pray and sing for one little Jew ...❤ for HaShem only. 🙏♥️
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful message for Yom Kippur!. I loved every minute of it!. Todah Rabah!. Chatima Tova!. Am Yisrael Chai!. ❤️🕯️🇮🇱
Thank you Rabbi. As I sit and ponder the upcoming day, your message is timely and renders upon me a reminder of the meaning and motivation for the day.
You are my long distance Rabbi. I left the church after 36 years, 14 years ago. We have no shul here in Roanoke Virginia, but I make do with you. I'll be making Aliyah, soon. My girlfriend at the US Embassy, is setting up everything for when I get there. Israel, and the Jewish people are the second greatest love of my life. I thank you, for teaching me so much. I Baruchu Hashem, for the blessings of you. 💪🕎✡️🙏🇮🇱🙌💜
What if you never knew you were Jewish but if all your life you thought you weren’t Jewish because your grandfather was on the adoption train and the records got burned up in a fire and you know you there’s a conquistador in your family and then some of your friend tells you that that means your Spanish in Spanish might be Jewish and you realize all the other rabbis are saying the same thing when you never relate it never entered your mind. What if I really find out that I am in fact, Jewish and enjoying synagogue and all the Jewish things when I find out I just might really be Jewish weird, huh? ‼️Jacinda

The volume of the music on the background is so loud that I could not hear everything😢
What’s with the music? Aren’t the words enough?
This powerful message didn't need the background
Until I started reading the comments, I didn't notice the music.

The rabbi needs no accompanying music
The accompanying music is distracting noise
